On Saturday, Obama’s favorable ratings slipped a little further—46% favorable, 51% unfavorable. Before the Pastor Problem became big news, Obama was viewed favorably by 52%. One month ago, he was viewed favorably by 56%. McCain is viewed favorably by 54% of voters nationwide and unfavorably by 43%. For Clinton, those numbers are 43% favorable, 54% unfavorable.The last time he was even close to this territory was November 20, 2007 when his favorables were at 44%, his unfavorables at 50%, and not a whole lot of people knew much about him.

I was concerned for about 10 seconds ... then I found out that it was Obama v Clinton.
The fact is that Obama’s speech could be a hit with the liberals and a miss with everyone else, because he clung to the myths the liberals believe, while not answering in any way the concerns people not dyed-in-wool liberals have. Those concerns are not about Wright’s ‘racist’ statements, but the question of his *patriotism*. Wright doesnt believe in America, the churh Obama chose calls Africa the motherland, so where does Obama’s allegience really lie? What sort of America does Obama believe in?

At this point, which candidate would get beat worse in November? If Obama gets the nomination and blows general election big time, I could imagine his senate seat could be vulnerable in 2010. Hillary could possibly get the nomination now, but I really seriously doubt she could get the nomination in 2012 if Obama gets it this year due to all the bad blood. It looks like this election cycle could permanently knock out two long term DemocRAT contenders.

If he does, he'll get shredded. Hillary can't really attack him because she’ll alienate her own base in doing so. Much of his success is because of her handicaps in dealing with him.
The longer he stands center stage the more he'll crumble. “Change” is a nice slogan, but people do ask pesky questions for which he has no reasonable and feasible answers. As people dig, dirt comes up and more is to come. Once in a battle with McCain, the kids’ gloves come off. Far more left than even Hillary, he'll have a hard time getting the independent and undecided votes. People do look at a resume, and with no executive, business, or military experience, young and only a junior Senator at that, his attempt to spin this into his campaign as being a positive because he's the “Washington outsider” won't work. Much of his success is because he was an unknown with no record. Something which again in all reality is a negative and he spun to a positive. But again, anyone more analytical wants a record and looks for the known quantity because this gives indication as to the outcomes and decisions made once in the position.
Obama is comparable to a kid straight from college walking in at a major firm such as GM or EDS and asking to be CEO. He’s a well dressed kid. He’s attractive and can speak well. He uses lots of “buzz words” when talking. He even has good poise, but his resume fits on 1/3 of one page, unless you include Boy Scout summer camps and his college job. Let’s admit it, Geraldine Ferraro was correct in her analysis and of course when she states the near obvious, she’s too is now labeled a racist. Obama is the best choice of action by the Democrats in so far that it makes a positive outcome for us more probable.

That's unlikely, since Illinois Republicans don't have a candidate for any state-wide office. Obama won the senate seat because his original opponent (Jack Ryan)was derailed by his ex-wife, a Hollywood chick made famous for wearing a skin-tight costume and funny face make-up on a TV space show, who complained about going to sex clubs.
Ryan was replaced by Alan Keyes. That went nowhere and Obama swept in. Too bad, because a serious Republican opponent in 2004 might have gotten something out about Jeremiah Wright back then.
But, it's unlikely that Obama will win the general election, so this will be his one chance to do this. After this, it will be Teddy Kennedy relection campaigns, where he is constantly explaining how he wasn't there each time Jeremiah went off the deep end.

While they’ll align Republicans with any obscure pastor who does or says something controversial, they’re trying to convince us that Obama’s 20-year long close relationship with Wright, including his effective endorsement of him, his church and rhetoric with a $22,500 donation in 2006 is irrelevant.

McCain may nominate strict constructionists to the Supreme Court, or, more likely, unpredictable middle-of-the-road types. Obama or Clinton would choose the most radical Marxists they can find -- there is no doubt about that. After that, the Bill of Rights will apply to terrorists and common criminals but not to ordinary Americans. You will have plenty of time in the re-education camps to reflect on your vote (or failure to vote). If the Supreme Court had a solid conservative majority and we were not at war, it might be a good time to teach the RINOs a lesson. Unfortunately, we have no good choices so all we can do for now is minimize the possible damage.
