BOLINGBROOK, Illinois (AP) -- Jobless and with no prospects, Drew Peterson spends his days taking care of his four children: cooking meals, washing clothes, helping with homework. All the while, he does so knowing that most of the world believes he killed his last two wives.
Nearly five months have passed since Stacy Peterson vanished from the couple's home in this Chicago suburb.
Peterson is a suspect in her disappearance, and authorities are also trying to determine if he had any role in the 2004 death of his ex-wife.
The 54-year-old former police officer knows that he could be locked up anytime, and that is part of why he allowed The Associated Press into his home for an exclusive interview.

Oh Yeah ... so I guess killing her wasn’t such a good idea ...
Just when she “disappears,” the magic hamper, the magic oven and the magic kids’ chaufer all break down at once. What are the odds?
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Guess that’s why he put himself out there as an eligible bachelor so quick. I feel for those kids, though.
I can’t even imagine what they’re going through! The older ones have to KNOW that their dad’s a wife/mother slaughterer. I’d be asking for grandma & grandpa!
“It’s very lonely without Stacy”
This guy is either the unluckiest joker alive when it comes to women, -OR- the guilt inside him is eventually going to drive him to confess, or to off himself.
The kids need prayers, since I doubt their Mom is coming back.
He’s either innocent, or totally shameless.
I vote for the latter.
Or just kill the SOB in his sleep. I’ll bet he keeps his bedroom door locked. Come to think of it, if I were one of the kids, I’d keep my bedroom door locked, too.
Does he golf?
Can I suggest a golf partner?
Former football player?
They can talk shop.
I had thought I saw something recently where they arrested him. Did they just take him in and then later release him?
As for his sleeping habits, I believe he’s an ex-cop, he’s probably sleeping with a pistol within hands reach.
An I’m-So-Ronrey Ping!
Can’t wait to hear Roe Conn tomorrow! :-)
“I’m so lonely. I got no one to kill.”
He should marry Nancy Grace. They deserve each other.
On the same par as this guy:
“Yes, Your Honor, I killed my parents. But I should be granted leniency on account of, I’m an orphan!”
Guess it is time to get another wife, and this time, think before you murder, it gets real old being mommie too.
From what I've seen of him on TV, he must be a total sociopaath. No guilt, consceince or empathy. Major creep-o.
We went through this with a friend of ours.........the husband/murderer kept telling the kids they would all go to DisneyWorld when mom came home......she was found finally and he is in prison.
What a bizarre thing for him to say. He seems oddly arrogant.
I guess he should have kept a lock of her hair.
Isn’t this like that saying, “You can’t have your wife and kill her, too.”
He is not supposed to have any guns. Cops took them all.
