Oh, I agree that the 2A doesn’t make a distinction, but look at the lovely anti’s and their latest “interpretation.”
It’s awfully funny when you have to invent interpretations in order to get your way. Plain english is just fine the way it is.
And to quote a team director for Voltswegen in regards to their cancelled Dakar Rally effort...the world’s number one langugage, “broken english”. Perhaps that’s what the gun grabers follow, broken english.
You see, the problem lays in the way the Constution was written.
It was done is such a way that very person who could READ & UNDERSTAND and ENGLISH would know what the meanings were. We have dumbed down for so long that WE have forgotten what our forefathers have said & meant in that document.
It is more that time to remind those folks up on that hill, who really is in CHARGE! And is it NOT them!
The Second Amendment is the enforcement clause for the other 9 amendments.
If they rule against individual rights, then we will just have to all join malitia’s right? That will really make the gun grabbing sissies wet their pants.

I think the sad fact is that we have lost a lot of our freedom by acquiescence, accepting new limitations passed by our legislature “for our own good”, having been duped into believing overhyped dangers.
Everything else said by any member of our government is irrelevent. Heller is irrelevent. The Supreme Court of the United States is irrelevent.

My rights, as Thomas Jefferson so eloquently put it, are endowed to me by our Creator. What God had granted, no man, no government can take away except by force of arms, a circumstance I am well prepared to face.
It is only when men allow themselves to become the slaves of a government that they lose those inherent, God given rights. The brave never lose their rights, only cowards do so.
I watch Heller for amusement and edification, but I find the ultimate outcome irrelevent to my circumstances. Unless the rest of the Bill of rights is done away with, no one will know whether or not I possess a firearm, unless I am called upon to use it. In that eventuality, I am prepared to face the consequences.
I am an American Citizen. I bow to no man. I bow to no government. Only God rules my life. I may be killed, but I will never be cowed.
Our Forefathers believed this and lived by this code. Can I be any less of a man than they and face them in the afterlife?

Let the Supreme Court know what you mean and do it soon. We stopped Amnesty for Illegals, so we can stop the anti-American confiscation of arms as well. But we must act and act quickly!

By this point their decisions have been made, and they’re just figuring out how to write the verdict & dissent.
“Bear” is indeed at issue, as there is a DC law that forbids even _moving_ it between rooms in your house.

The only glimmer of hope I see is yesterdays 6-3 SCOTUS decision in favor of Texas, over-ruling Bush and his International Court.
It would be nice to get at least the same 6-3 decision on DC v. Heller...

If we are, where are we and what are we doing to demonstrate that this is the “will of the people?”
We have only dumbed down to the point of listening to liberal elitists who tell us the written words do not represent the intent, but that unwritten words do.
It’s the enforcement clause for EVERYTHING in America.
