March 26, 2008 The FBI is now involved in the theft of a car after it was found in Los Lunas with an explosive device and Iraqi currency inside.FBI agents say that they have ruled out terrorism.

The car was reported stolen last week. After the theft, the car’s owner was fueling his motorcycle when he spotted his stolen car.

“While he was refueling his motorcycle, low and behold, the vehicle that he had reported stolen that belongs to him happened to pull into the gas station area also,” said Los Lunas Police Captain Charles Nuanes.

The car’s owner pulled the keys out of the ignition of his stolen car and the people in the car fled.

When police arrived, they found the explosive device and

Journalists no longer need to be wordsmiths. A sincere desire to “make a difference” is all that is necessary.

Anyone can make a difference. It takes a some smarts to make a difference for the better. That’s where the urinalists fail.

Yes, and I’m not surprised.
We noted it today on The Threat Matrix.

The newspapers have laid off all the editors. At least the senior ones who knew the language, and gave a s***.

"After the theft, the car’s owner was fueling his motorcycle when he spotted his stolen car."

OT: in perhaps an even stranger coincidence, I know someone whose husband had his pickup truck stolen (well hers too but she normally drove a different vehicle). Anyway, just a few days later she was driving through a neighborhood she had never had cause to be in before, FIFTY miles from her home, and "lo and behold" spotted the very stolen pickup truck in a driveway there. The coincidence was unreal, she had no particular reason to be in that neighborhood, was just cutting through on a street she didn't know at all. Anyway, she called the police and the whole thing got straightened out. Don't know what happened to the thieves though.......

Think about it.. what kind of Iraqi currency and what's it going to buy in the USA?

Sounds like a stupid teenager to me.

People are vying for attention all the time.

Yeah, when I was a teenager I had stacks of foreign currencies...not to mention bombs that I would make, just to leave them laying around in stolen vehicles...just for the attention and kick I got...

Judging by the rest of your post......Crips, Bloods... etc. I doubt this response is even worth posting, other than for my own entertainment...at your expense, of course.

I flew into the U.S. yesterday and there was a much higer level of examination of passports and IDs, as well as officers asking people questions before they entered the plan. Have not experienced this level of scrutiny at this particular airport before. Strange.

"Nothing baffling here. The FBI is given to lying. End of story."

Based on personal observation, that is the closest answer yet...

I'm happy there have been no more "terrorist incidents" in this country since 9/11. I know because the government keeps telling me so.

Thanks for the strange article. Now I'm going back to sleep. Wake me when the Sears Tower falls or an elementary school blows up or something, OK?

"Lol, just proves life is stranger than fiction - to have your stolen car come pulling up to you!"

I actually had this happen to me. My car was stolen over night. Went out to warm it up before going to work and discovered it missing. I called the police and then I took the wife's car. Before I went to work, I had to stop by the grocery store and pick up a few things for my wife (she was a stay-at-home mom until the kids were old enough to start school).

As I was waiting to make a left turn into the shopping center, I noticed my car approaching from the opposite direction. 3 teens in the car, they pulled into the same parking lot and pulled up to a gas station where the driver stayed in the car and the other two went inside to buy some cigarettes. I followed them into the gas station lot and then walked into the gas station and asked the girl at the counter if I could use her phone (no cell phones at that time) and I called the police again. Then I walked back out past the two teenagers waiting in line at the counter.

I quickly surveyed the car and saw that the car was running, the driver's door was unlocked and that he did have the center emergency break engaged. So, I walked up and pulled open the door and yanked the driver's @$$ right out of the car and threw him down on the ground, planted my knee between his shoulder blades and pulled his hands behind his back while yelling at him the whole time... "YOU STOLE MY F'IN' CAR!!! WTF! YOU STOLE MY F'IN' CAR!!!". The two others came running out and around the corner of the car as if they were going to help their buddy. I turned and glared at them and they both got this "Oh, S*#t!" look in their eyes and ran off around the corner into the woods. Some guy in a plumber's work van was pumping gas and he came over with a drop cord and I hog-tied the driver and waited for the police who showed up a couple of minutes later.

Later that day I called the police to see if they caught the other two and the lady who answered just laughed, "Are you the man that hog-tied that boy this morning? We caught one of them and we know where the other one lives but don't worry about them bothering you again, heck, the two we have in custody are scared sh*tless of you. They thought you were one crazy man..."

True story.

Sorry, I had to share. But, with that said, the article states that the guy saw the people in the car and they fled. What is missing in this article is the owner's description of who was driving his car.

That would be an octaganol delusion, coupled with optical rectosis, which combined, tends to give the appearence of a crappy outlook.
