Well, I’m a non-observant Catholic and I’m to the right of Rush Limbaugh. I would never vote for a democrat.
Many of my relatives, also Catholic, are staunch Republicans. My late uncle was a Republican party official on Long Island, New York, and he was Catholic.
My late father was also a Republican. (He was briefly a democrat, but switched to the GOP when Truman fired General MacArthur).
I find it very hard to believe than 63% of Catholics vote for democrats (unless they’re Mexican).

(Change.....that's what we will have left in our pockets if a Democrat gets elected president!)
I was a bleeding heart liberal and voted for Kerry. Now that I am recovering from my lapses in judgement, I wouldn't consider voting that way again.
I believe that maturity has led me to believe that all of us are responsible for our own well being. For the life of me I can't understand, now that is, why able bodied human beings want to be taken care of from the cradle to the grave.
Children want to assert themselves and do things for themselves, but at some point in time, this passes and a good percentage want government to step in and do for them.
They really sell themselves short! Oh yes, and I am a grateful Catholic!
