...

I listened last night to syndicated talk-radio host Mark Levin report the breaking news that an Iraqi-American had been indicted as a spy. In addition, he stands accused of secretly funding the October 2002 pre-invasion trip to Iraq of three antiwar House Democrats, Congressmen Jim McDermott (D-WA), Mike Thompson (D-CA), and David E. Bonior (D-MI, now retired). I first posted a clip of that audio on MarkLevinFan.com and then I followed the money.

Always follow the money. You just think that you have read all where it led in this case.

Mc Dermott thought it was funded by some church in Seattle, my ass. The only time he’s in a church is to raise more campaign cash.

Did we not know this when they did it?

We knew it. We know it with all of them.

We know it by the pukes who continue to sell us out, that they ain’t loyal to us.

Clearly they are not working for us.

That begs the question, who they are working for is who is paying them the most.

The most evil of the terrorists are Americans, within.

Continued:

Last night, the New York Times reported:
The Justice Department said Wednesday that Saddam Hussein’s principal foreign intelligence agency and an Iraqi-American man had organized and paid for a 2002 visit to Iraq by three House Democrats whose trip was harshly criticized by colleagues at the time.

The arrangements for the trip were described in the indictment of an Iraq-born former employee of a Detroit-area charity group who was charged Wednesday with accepting millions of dollars’ worth of Iraqi oil contracts in exchange for assisting the Iraqi spy agency in projects in the United States. The indictment did not claim any wrongdoing by the three lawmakers, whose five-day trip to Iraq occurred in October 2002, five months before the American invasion.

… Mr. McDermott said through a spokesman that he had been invited on the trip by church groups in his home state and that he assumed that the trip had been paid for by legitimate charitable organizations [All emphasis added in this post is mine]. … The indictment, which was dated Feb. 13 and unsealed Monday in Michigan, said the trip had cost at least $34,000 … The indicted Michigan man, Muthanna al-Hanooti, was identified in court papers as a naturalized American citizen who worked for much of the 1990s and again in 2001 and 2002 as public relations coordinator for Life for Relief and Development, a Michigan-based charity. He pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.

The larger point of my post here http://www.911familiesforamerica.org/?p=755 goes beyond that (please take a look).

The guy who handed the three un-wise (or willfully ignorant) Congressmen had easily found (back in 2002 before they took his money) ties to Saddam Hussein’s regime.

Take a deep breath, PM. LOL! The trip was vetted by the U.S. Dept of State. Someone should ask the DoS if that vetting included Shakir al-Khafaji and Life for Relief and Development or just the churches Rep. al-McDermott alleges invited him to go on the trip. BTW: Shakir al-Khafaji later donated $5,000 to McDermott's legal defense fund. Hmmm?

Thanks. Here is the shortest way to his article: http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/001/737zcgnk.asp . I do note from it that neither the “churches” al-McDermott later said invited him on the trip nor the actual funder of the trip were mentioned in it. Stephen Hayes apparently did not know of or report those until May 5, 2003.

Local residents have questioned why there is a need for two mosques of near identical backgrounds in such close vicinity to one another. That's certainly a good question, but when you look at several of the people involved in the undertaking of these centers, and when you look at some of the individuals that they have associated with, this question becomes one of many.

Khalid Hamza, who was an advisor to the Muslim Student Organization at FAU, not too long ago used a Texas A & M University internet forum to defend Sami Al Arian, a Tampa professor that was recently taken into custody for his involvement as a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). I used the term "was an advisor to the MSO," because FAU has told him that they don't want him to return to his teaching duties, and because the Islamic Center of Boca Raton sent out an e-mail announcing that he was leaving the South Florida community.

Aside from his involvement with the Islamic Center of Boca Raton and the Muslim Student Organization, Khalid Hamza is also an author. He recently wrote a novel entitled ‘The Veil,' which is being promoted on the MSO's website, www.msofau.org (2003). The book is about a Muslim family living in Boca Raton. The first member of the family, as listed in the forward, is fittingly named Jihad.

Congressman Elect Thompson, like many others in the Party of Treason, sang a different tune in 1998 when Bill Clinton took action against Iraq.

We just represent the interests of anti-Americans.”

Actually the phrase now is: We do what we do - reasoning: "To effect foreign policy" for the betterment of every citizen of the World. That means it may appear evil; but, do not worry, the Democrats say ,such as aforementioned; as "we the people" are too 'stupid' to comprehend what goes on behind the scenes. "History will come to bail them out", so they say! "However, History could come to 'bury us'"for their actions or inactions.

Dupes, and having characteristics possessing traitor like Judas behavior (which no one ever gets convicted off unless you actually steal military secrets), in my thinking, is most correct!

The media is not ambidextrous, they can only focus on one story, one candidate at a time in this Democratic, "Operation Chaos", "greased pig" race.

Thanks for posting this!

These 3 Dem reps were always anti-American and this trip just shows it. Bonior was in charge of John Edwards’ campaign and we can see where that went. Bagdad Jim has always been a socialist pacifist. As are about 85% of the Dem reps in the House. If the American voter ever figures that out, the Dem Party would finally be perceived as it really is: anti-capitalists, anti-individualism,anti-military, and always blame America for the world’s ills.

"This trip was vetted ad approved by the Bush State Department. It must means it was a conspiracy"

Perfect way for liberals to spin this. "Bush didn't stop me from robbing the bank, therefore he knew I was going to do it. It's Bush's responsibility." If it was vetted and approved, I'm sure it was because a US President couldn't fathom a congressman taking a junket on Hitler's dime.

What is important about that (the same one below) flier is, it was:
An advertisement for a Life for Relief and Development fundraiser was advertised on the website of the Young Muslims (the Al Muhajiroun/Al Qaeda) youth group, which is under the aegis of the Muslim American Society, and the Islamic Circle of North America...
and
The speakers list at the event ... included [the then Life for Relief and Development's] president Khalil Jassemm, who spoke at the event, and is a featured speaker at numerous fundraisers throught the country ... was also a speaker at the recent fundraiser of the Islamic Center of Boca Raton, whose Imam, Ibrahim Dremali, was labelled an "Islamic extremist" by counter terrorism expert Steven Emerson.
That flier has Khalil Jassemm's name on it

id-002.jpg

Oh, BTW, the speaker list included:

the Council on American Islamic Relation's Ghazi Kankan. known for a rally speach at which he proferred "greetings from the Muhajadeen at CAIR" and Zaid Shakir, an ICNA/MAS youth activities coordinator , who condemned the convictions of the Virginia Jihad paintball group...
Why would Zaid Shakir, a senior member of America-loving, non-Sharia advocating CAIR, attend such an event? (Sarcasm button now being switched to OFF).

I believe no one said the trip was funded by churches. What McDermott did say was churches invited him on the trip and he believed that the trip was funded by legitimate charitable organizations. Of course he thinks CAIR and LIFE are charities just giving to a good cause, the undermining of our national defense.
