Rally to defend the War Memorials in New Haven April 5, 2008
The Gathering of Eagles | 03/27/08 | RaceBannon

Posted on 03/27/2008 6:19:59 AM PDT by RaceBannon

This press release contains information on two events of the same day. The Gathering of Eagles event has a time change from the original schedule released: it is now from 12 Noon to 2 PM.

The Gathering of Eagles and Eagles UP will be sponsoring the first event and attending the second event.

The GATHERING OF EAGLES, a patriotic organization whose goal is to publicly support our men and women in uniform, whether active duty or veteran, announces our whole hearted participation with the New Haven GUARDIAN ANGELS and EAGLES UP in an upcoming rally at the Vietnam and Korean War memorial

The Vietnam and Korean War Memorial Walls in New Haven, CT have been desecrated on three separate occasions. It was claimed to have been done by Illegal Alien gangs including - but not necessarily limited to - the MS-13 criminal gang organization due to the messages that were scrawled upon the face of these memorials identifying themselves as such.

We as Americans should never stand for this. These two internet links show the media coverage of this story: http://www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?s=7556069 http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59572

On Saturday, April 5th, the Guardian Angels and Gathering of Eagles and Eagles UP will be holding a rally at the War Memorial Park in New Haven, to protest this unspeakable act and to stand up for our fallen heroes.

This practice of Free Speech by the Guardian Angels and Gathering of Eagles and Eagles UP is done as our rights as citizens; and is also done to show that those who appear to have desecrated these memorials are not Americans at all and wish to dishonor those who guarantee our rights as veterans.

Please pass the word around and stand with us.

Where: War Memorial Park, Long Wharf Drive New Haven.

When : Sat. April 5th ( 2:00 p.m. 'til 4:00 p.m. ) ************

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding this event.

CT 612 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Picnic

Dear Sir or Madam:

The CT 612 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Picnic will take place on Saturday April 5th, 2008 (rain date April 6th). At the present time there is not a memorial for the 612 servicemen who were killed in Vietnam from Connecticut. I am hoping to change that with your help. The town of Coventry has donated some land at a place they call Patriot Park for the memorial. I am involved in what I hope to be the biggest fundraiser to assist in putting the project over the top.

I have secured Devitt’s Field in Deep River, CT for the day. I have also secured the 612 Biography posters that were done by the Cheshire High School Students. They will be on display in secured tents. Enclosed is a flyer of the event, please post it in your office. The picnic will include a motorcycle event called the blessing of the bikes. This event will also include live music, raffles, good food and hopefully a large group of support.

We are looking for small or large items to be used in our Raffle booth along with food or paper related items. Monetary donations will be used to defray the cost of the fundraiser, or will be put directly into an account to be presented to the Ct Vietnam Veterans Memorial. All donations are welcome. Should you or your Company like to become a “ Corporate Sponsor”, please send a donation of $200.00 by March 16,2008 for your name to be added to the t-shirt. Names will also go into a Memorial Sponsor Book or Plaque. We would like you to attend the day of the event if possible as a volunteer or to just hang out. I also ask all sponsors to bring a banner to be displayed that would say “Your Company Name” supports the CT 612 Vietnam Veterans Memorial, or something to that effect (optional of course). Thank you in advance for your support and any donation you are able to make. It is greatly appreciated.

Please call if you would like us to pick-up an item for the raffle along with your business card or remit any donation to:

CT 612 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Picnic C/O Joe DiPietro 43 Acorn Rd Deep River, CT. 06417-1526.

Sincerely, Joe DiPietro 860-983-5021 or Res. 526-1948 www.ct612memorial.org

Concerning the rally on April 5, 2008 at Long Wharf, the Guardian Angels were mistakenly listed as co-sponsoring the event. While they plan on attending in support, they are not involved in the leadership or planning of the event due to their non political status.

On the night after the rally I would suggest leaving an ambush team at the memorial; and maybe for a few nights after that too, because you know the punks will be back.

Heres’ hoping all will go well and all who attend this event shall return safely to their homes feeling they really did accomplish something honorable. For some of us, each day is Memorial Day in essence. For so many others, with little or no ties to our military current or past, or any clue as just who protects this nation's interests, surely these monuments of remembrance are a befitting way of bringing the great sacrifices of all who have served into their conscience.

A lot to be said for the old school:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AucxqtpCZL0&feature=related

It is not old fashioned to love your country and those who fight for it. Those ‘progressive’ liberals just want us to think so.

I think the Duke sums up a lot here too:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uf7R2_GWJ2Y&feature=related (language warning - but well worth hearing)

We need to hear the words spoken from the old school folks and start thinking and start taking over. Let’s stand up and protect our monuments and support our Troops and their mission.

God bless men like John Wayne and all those who will take a stand.

And I must say that I sure miss men like John Wayne.
