I noticed the same things in his speech, and they had the same effects on me. The only thing he seemed to have some grit on was Iraq - on that he seems to stand up for our troops. Seems to. The rest of his speech could have been taken from a Democrat policy book.

Like a lot of people around FR have said, McCain is Dem-Lite.

FR needs to move on.

This election is over for Conservatives, all we can do is sit back and observe the Presidential race.

BUT, in the mean time we should be looking for, vetting and funding a candidate for 2012, to challenge McCain or Hussein.

Who will be their maverick?

I’d like to see Duncan Hunter, Michael Steele, J.C. Watts, George Allen, Senator DeMint (SC), Governor Sanford (SC), Jeff Sessions (AL and a tiger on enforcing our immigration and border security laws) as possible mavericks for the GOP candidacy in 2012. Any solidly conservative pro-USA, pro-defense, anti-terrorist, pro-Israel, pro-secure the borders and ports senator, congressman/woman, or governor would do. If a pro-defense pro-border security, anti-give-our-jobs to China independant, such as Lou Dobbs (or Lou himself) was a candidate, I’d be pleased as well. No more RINOs, no more Clintons, no more Bushes.

Good list.

I see Jeff Sessions as the strongest contender, the others have each disappointed me in interviews, in their attitude and conciliatory tone. (Duncan never did until he endorsed Huck)

But recently Sessions was interviewed an refused to endorse McCain, (he said not yet).

We shall see how he steps up.

Rush played five soundbites from McInsane's speech yesterday, and I swear that sorry #$%* for a GOP candidate sounded just like the globalist liberal John Kerry with all his whining about how the U.S. shouldn't unilaterally take the lead on important issues, but be a good partner and go along with all the other democracies, blah, blah, blah....

The dhimocrats ought to be feeling D@*$ proud of themselves. They've got three liberal candidates to vote for President come this November. Either way the election goes, they win the White House for the next four years.

Unfortunately, I no longer trust the electoral process, and feel the fix was in long ago. Buchanan said it years ago.."The differences between the two beltway parties are inconsequential." I believe the big money, fat cat insiders are pulling all the levers. In regards to government, what regular Joe or Jane American want or seek to support, has become totally irrelevant, IMO.

It's a very unfortunate state of affairs.

I was listening to some of the speech on Rush’s show.
Just about the time I start loosening the closepin on my nose for this idiot, he steps in it again.

I don’t care what anyone says, McCain is no better than Clinton or Obama.

I also heard the soundbites and was and am furious. What a freekin jerk!!! I dispise McCain worse than I do Clinton or Obama...at least they aren't running around claiming to be a "foot soldier" in the Reagan Revolution.

And if anyone tries to tell me one more time that McCain will be better because he will appoint conservative judges, I say fooooey!!! Why would anyone believe this garbage???

"Well, I guess that leaves us out, cuz the United States is a Republic."

Notice how all the politicos call our country a "democracy"?

Furthermore; the jargon in world politics "democracy" usually means some form of socialism, even communism.

Just not an eeeeevil dictatorship.

"If we can keep it."

I think we may have already lost it.

It's not the dhimocrats that are the winners here.

And 15-20 million illegal invaders, with more to come.

Blame the Republicans,
as Hannity said the other day
he is leaving the Republican party
and registering as a Conservative.

Amen to that!

If McCain is the best we are offered
where is our Conservative nominee?

Remember when Republican meant Conservative?

"..and globalists."

Exactly!

No matter which candidate wins, they win.

Every time I get closer to thinking, “okay, I’ve got to vote for this loser because at least he will take us to hell a little slower than the Dems”, he pulls this crap.

Screw him. I don’t give a flying you-know-what who wins the presidency or Congress. We are doomed no matter what. So we conservatives either all move to one state and vote out the marxist commies and start over fresh and move out to other states and do the same or find an island.

I give up.

I don’t get HBO. Even if I did, I would skip the series. The book was depressing enough.

—Remember when Republican meant Conservative?—

Since I remember the likes of Dick Nixon and Gerry Ford, I sadly, remember a time when republican meant mushy moderate. I think we are going back to the GOP of the 70s.
