McCain Supports Radical Muslims in Kosovo
Accuracy In Media ^ | 27 March 2008 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 03/27/2008 10:41:43 AM PDT by Doctor13

If the media are on the lookout for gaffes by the presidential campaigns, they missed a big one on Wednesday, when Cindy McCain met with Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci in Kosovo’s capital Pristina, while her husband was giving a major foreign policy speech calling for “new foundations for a stable and enduring peace.” Kosovo’s declaration of independence, which McCain accepts and was implicitly recognized by Cindy McCain’s visit to Pristina, is a major threat to global peace and security. It could spark a U.S. war with Russia.

We need to recall that the war against the former Yugoslavia was depicted by the liberal media as a worthwhile humanitarian intervention. But it was waged on the basis of Clinton Administration lies of a “genocide” being waged against Albanian Muslims in Kosovo, a province of Serbia. In fact, the Clinton Administration’s NATO war against Yugoslavia probably cost more lives than were lost in the civil war in Kosovo. Serbian troops were forced to withdraw in exchange for an international guarantee that Serbia would retain sovereignty over Kosovo but the province would get substantial autonomy. The U.S. agreed to that, but that agreement was violated when the Bush Administration, with backing from McCain and Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, recently recognized Kosovo’s declaration of independence from Serbia.

Sending his wife to Kosovo confirms that McCain accepts Clinton’s fraudulent version of what happened there and that he agrees with Bush’s “solution,” which can only make the situation worse.

McCain is at best clueless when it comes to foreign affairs. He is a disgrace and a danger to this country. McCain is fighting for rights for terrorists and he voted against the Cornyn amendment.

McCain is confused and uninformed. He needed Lieberman to whisper answers to him on at least two occasions - it was right on TV. And he made the same error several times - a far worse mistake than Hillary’s Bosnia lies. McCain was never know for his intelligence.

Republicans have been given a choice among three Democrats. As a Republican and as a Conservative, the situation is incedibly painful. The pictures even make it more so.

What does it tell you about the character of a man who abandons his wife of 22 years after she was disfigured in a car accident to marry his Stepford wife?

We’re on the wrong side of the ball of wax on this one. We should be working with Russia to stop the Muslims there. Instead we go to war to help Muslims just to say we help Muslims. Nothing like using our military as pawns because our foreign policy makers can be so easily manipulated by world opinion.

McCain is not a danger to this Country. At best, he is a danger to what you believe. If that’s the case, don’t vote for him.

You apparently are ignorant of McCain's amnesty plan, fight to prevent protecting the borders, support of rights for terrorists, and vote against the Cornyn amendment. Why would anyone, especially in post 9/11 American, vote against the Cornyn amendment?

Of course I will not vote for him. I have close family members in the military, and I will not forget how he abandoned our POW/MIAs and treated their families. He betrayed his first wife who stood by him. Not surprising if he betrays others as well.

That's correct. I don't agree with recognizing Kosovo's independence, but the Muslims there are not radicals. The truly radical Muslims belong to the Wahhabi sect -- Kosovar Muslims want nothing to do with them.

Misleading headline.

The Wahhabis are already setting up shop in Kosovo financing the construction of mosques. The current cadre of Kosovar Albanians are radical criminals and the Saudis will simply supplement that radicalism with a different kind.

Here's an article on the Albanian American Civic League website -- not accusations by Serbs, but from the Albanians own mouths:

"“First, let me say how proud I am that so many Albanians came to support John McCain. And why is this important? Since 1998 when we had the problems with Milosevic, McCain has supported everything that we have asked him to do for the Albanian people, including to arm the KLA...."

I don't know what your definition of "radical Muslims" is, but the KLA surely qualify:

Prosecutors Seek a Stiffer Sentence for Fort Dix Six

"Defendant Abdullahu also heard both Dritan Duka and Eljvir Duka speak with reverence about the Taliban, Iraqi insurgents, and (the late insurgent leader Abu Musab) al-Zarqawi. Defendant Abdullahu also heard the Dukas plainly identify themselves with the Iraqi insurgents and the Taliban," and speak happily of American casualties, prosecutors said.

In one exchange, Dritan Duka said, "I want to train with a sniper rifle." Abdullahu replied, "I, I, I teach you brother."

In another, Abdullahu listens as two of the Duka brothers discuss the range of a firearm.

"Would you hit the American soldiers in Iraq?" Eljvir Duka asked?

"From a mile away," replied Dritan Duka.

Abdullahu corrected him: "Not quite a mile, it shoots about three-quarters of a mile," according to the transcript.

Moments later, Dritan Duka asked, "Do you think I can stand far enough from the White House?"

Eljvir Duka responded, "Do you think I can hit George Bush from (unintelligible)."

Twenty of the over 150 churches destroyed since the Muslim KLA took over.

Answer my question. If you think he is damaging the country, then YOU run for office and change it. Otherwise, understand that you are just whining about the state of things.

Personally, the safety and security of my children is the foremost issue on my mind. When I was younger, I suited up in the uniforms of my country to protect her from our enemies. Now, all I have left is the hope that those we elect do the best they can protect us.
Our choices, for good or bad, are now Obama, Clinton, and McCain. Of those three, I have no choice but to put the safety of my children in the hands of McCain, the only person whom I believe will not give up on the war on terror.

So please, you go ahead and hate McCain and vote for someone else (or not vote at all). I just DO NOT want to read you or others like you bitching on this forum when Obama or Clinton is elected president. But on the other hand, either should be a good president because they voted FOR the Cornyn amendment...

You sound like a disrupter who is unable to defend his/her/their position and resorts to silly statements. KOS and Soros must be thrilled with McCain after that speech. McCain has missed around 56% of Senate votes - the worst record of anyone except one senator who was ill for a long period of time. He cannot handle his Senate chores and he will not be able to handle the job of POTUS.

You are wrong. Neither McCain nor Obama voted FOR the Cronyn amendment. McCain was only one of ten Republicans who voted against it. After all the lies he has told, how could anyone except the most gullible trust him? McCain also has no clue as to al Qaeda and has made one serious gaffe after another. Just look at his record. How he treated his first wife should give you a clue.

BTW, this is an opinion forum. Posters express their opinions. For you to object that somebody expresses their opinion is ludicrous.

My husband flew F4s in Vietnam. We both watched the Senate hearing on MIA's. John McCain had the wives and mothers in tears calling them dupes because he said that there were no more MIA's left in Vietnam. These were the same wives and mothers who worked so hard to get him his freedom. And as one Senator said, "how would he know that there weren't any MIA's left?" Did McCain get this information from the North Vietnames themselves?

Against opposition from Senator Bob Smith who said that we should not have diplmatic relations with Vietnam until all our MIA's were accounted for, McCain and Kerry pushed for recognition. Furthermore, McCain threatened anyone on his staff that if they pursued the MIA issue, he would ruin their careers.

When the PM of Vietnam came to town, McCain gave him a big bear hug - this is the same guy who ordered the torture and execution of our POW's.
