Hardball: 'Kamikaze' Hillary Ready to Wreck the Party
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

After me, the deluge" (après moi, le déluge) -- popularly attributed to Louis XV

Look for Chris Matthews to start calling her "Louie." The Hardball host was as roiled as Robespierre today at Hillary Clinton's threat to take the Dem party down in a convention credentials fight over the seating of the Florida and Michigan delegates.

In the course of an interview with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News yesterday, Clinton made clear her intention to take things to a floor fight if necessary, and went so far as to pre-emptively undermine Barack Obama's legitimacy as a candidate if he doesn't go along with her proposal to seat the Florida and Michigan delegates. That set Matthews off, though it was panelist Tucker Carlson who supplied the most colorful language, describing Hillary as a "kamikaze" who is "ready to wreck the party."

The far left had been allowing Hillary to think that she was the anointed head of the party, only as a place marker for the far left candidate to emerge and shove her out of the way. They knew that they couldn’t bring on Obama too early, before he had positioned himself to be able to win the nomination.

Hillary’s Democratic Leadership Committee warned of where the party was headed and we all should have been listening.

Five Our Fathers, and five Hail Mary’s, for posting that hideous graphic. Go forth, and sin no more.

I caught that addition! Nicely done, I have little talent for graphics like that, so the applause is double!

(*green with envy*)

I have no sympathy for them as life just ain't full of do overs.

It would not be a do over. The first primaries don't fit the Dim rules. If they vote between now and the convention, that primary fits the rules. So those would be legit Dim delegates. And the Dims make the rules for themselves. They can change the rules to legitimize the previous votes. They could pay for votes in those states themselves. They could have the legislature appoint delegates for the those states. The can basically do whatever they want. The Dims are a private organization not the government.

Thank you again. Few people would want to spend so many hours leaning over the computer cutting out and painting things. Thankfully I love doing it.

So she wrecks the dem party

- causes race riots

and billions lost to burning cities

and a party that won't hold power for a hundred years...

I mean, in her mind,

in her twisted, narcissistic mind,

it would be worth it.

Hillary loves power

more than the country's life.

If her Grandmother stood between her and the White House, she'd run her over.

...She is completely unwilling to accept the cruel truth that she has been rejected by her own party, betrayed by her own family.

She was first lady, for cryin' out loud! She is the queen of this party!

No one she trusts has the courage to tell her she's done, much less force her into the car to take her home.

So on we march, scandal after scandal, contest after contest, hoping with each one that she finally accepts what everyone else began realizing long ago.

The curiosity of this spectacle has led some to openly speculate she's staying in the race only to damage Obama so badly that he can't win in November, thus leaving the Democratic ticket open for her to run again in 2012.

And the certainty with which she recalled all that sniper fire raining down on her as she landed in Bosnia 12 years ago convinced others that she's nearly gone out of her mind.

"She has become disassociated from reality," said one top Democrat. "And now she's going all the way to the convention, and she's not going to pull the plug on this thing."

HAS-BEEN HILL STILL IGNORING THE INEVITABLE

Well, let me say that if I knew what I was doing, and had the wherewithal to create these things, I’d be doing not a few myself!

If she doesn't get the nomination she will bring the lawyers into it and sue to get the “proper” results. Shades of Gore in Florida.

She will not go down without every chad being looked at again, and every smudge being a vote for her, twice. And it will involve lots of lawyers with them all painting her as the victim.
