Enacted in October 2005, Dover city code 131-20 blocks sex offenders who must register for life, which includes those convicted of aggravated rape or a host of offenses involving children, from living within 2,500 feet of a school or daycare center, levying a $500 fine for the first violation and a $1,000 fine for a second.
Of course this is a law based on common sense, because rapist and child molesters should NOT live anywhere near a school or daycare center. However, I don't agree we should have these laws. Not for the same reason that the ACLU do, but because I don't think a child rapist should be given the mercy of living in society at all. If they are spared death they should be locked away from society for the rest of their lives at a minimum.

I doubt that guns are still legal in New Hampshire, but it’s probably time to get them cleaned and prepare to defend your families there.
Society needs to understand that child molestation utterly DESTROYS lives. Fitting punishment would be death by slow torture, or life in solitary confinement with complete sensory deprivation.
Get a map of any city with a population over 2500.
Locate every school & daycare in the city.
Draw a 2500 foot circle around each, and I guarantee you that there will literally be nowhere left out.
I would have no problem with a law like this if the lawmakers included the stipulation that the excluded radius must be decreased until at least 25% of the city is OK to live in.
How do you handle the situation that new schools and daycare centers open all the time? Should people have to move just because someone opens a day care half a mile away?
Sex offenses can run the whole spectrum from child rapists to people caught urinating in public. Child rapists I don’t care about, but public urination should not ruin the rest of a man’s life.
I would not necessarily mind if we passed a law that if you defend a pedophile and they are convicted, the pedophile AND his lawyer are both executed.
May make an ACLU lawyer think twice before taking a case.
I’d also make part of that law if they are released because of a technicality, and the pedophile is let go, that he or she must live in the judge’s house.

The problem isn’t where they move after they get released. The problem is that they get released in the first place. We don’t need laws saying child molesters can’t live near schools. We need laws locking them up permanently.
No. There must be a clear “why” as to why the lawyer might be executed. And remember the lawyer only goes if the client loses. I still wouldn’t want to be up against a 50-50 chance.
