Hillary, Obama Wreaking Presidential Havoc
NewsMax ^ | March 27, 2008 | David Limbaugh

It would be fun to watch this bizarre seesaw contest between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, except for the horrifying possibility that one of them could end up being our next president.

Conservatives have long recognized the power lust and ruthlessness that defines the Clintons. Finally, many Democrats opened their eyes to this, too, as they watched Bill Clinton's deliberate ignition of racial tensions in efforts to quell the Obama surge. Who does this upstart Obama think he is, trying to disrupt the inexorable flow of history leading to a continuation of the Clinton co-presidency?

Though Bill's strategy only yielded the Clintons temporary fruit, Obama delivered them bushel baskets of his own with revelations of his longtime association with a stridently racist black pastor. Obama might have been finished but for Hillary's quasi-masochistic penchant for self-destruction.

Hillary just couldn't resist claiming she came under sniper fire in Bosnia, presumably so she could add this combat experience to her resume of otherwise mostly vicarious achievements.

Caught red-handed in this gratuitous lie, she tried to pass it off as a mistake. Bill Clinton often tried to minimize the egregiousness of his deliberate misbehavior by characterizing it as a mistake, as when he called his ongoing intentional affair with Monica Lewinsky a mere mistake in judgment.

It is inconceivable that Hillary's imagined sniper-fire incident was a mistake, and her lame effort to excuse her whopper as a product of campaign fatigue is enormously insulting. Sane people neither forget such dramatic moments nor imagine them if they didn't occur.

Truthfully, I can't describe how disillusioned I would be if I thought the candidate I was supporting were capable of such strange behavior. And this is far from a one-time occurrence. We've all known people, even friends, who embellish. But very few take it to this extreme, and none of those few would we remotely consider to be presidential material.

On the other hand, Democrats have only one other candidate on their side of the aisle, and he's looking increasingly problematic. They should have known Barack Obama's apparent transcendence was too good to be true.

Many of us understood from the beginning the unrealism in the promises of this extreme liberal partisan to be a messianic uniter. But little did we know that he attended a church whose pastor, Jeremiah Wright, has distinguished himself through anti-American and racist rants and as a scholar and practitioner of black liberation theology.

Former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell warned on "Hannity & Colmes" that what we really need to focus on with this Obama/Wright flap, are the tenets of black liberation theology and to what extent Barack Obama embraces them, assuming his pastor and church truly endorse this theology.

Blackwell said he is concerned this theology supports partial-birth abortion, pacifism in foreign policy, and economic socialism. He suggested that responsible voters have a duty to inquire whether Obama subscribes to these views.

As it turns out, Blackwell's observations are just the tip of the iceberg concerning this theology. If half of what I've read about it is true, it promotes anything but a unifying message. Instead of centering on God and his relationship to man, it appears to be unduly man-centered, race-oriented and more political than theological.

Rather than adopting Martin Luther King's colorblind approach, it stresses — according to Anthony B. Bradley of Covenant Theological Seminary — "an unqualified commitment to the black community as that community seeks to define its existence in the light of God's liberating work in the world." The theology, says Bradley, "laid the foundation for many [black pastors] to embrace Marxism and a distorted self-image of perpetual 'victim.'"

Doesn't America have a right to know whether the leading Democratic presidential contender buys into the reputed theology of the church he has attended for 20 years? If Wright's Trinity Church doesn't teach this theology, Obama should have no problem telling us so. But if it does, he has much explaining to do.

It won't suffice for him to dismiss the inquiry with the same casual indifference by which he attempted to trivialize Wright's disturbing sermons as just a few remarks over 30 years condensed into a 30-second sound bite. Even a tenuous connection to black liberation theology undermines Barack's self-description as a unifier.

These disqualifying attributes of both Democratic candidates would ordinarily be enough to motivate and energize conservatives to new levels of commitment to the GOP nominee. But so far, John McCain, especially in light of his recent speech to the World Affairs Council, seems, except for a few remaining issues, to be doing his best to become the first Democratic president to be elected on the Republican ticket.

I wonder about that too. And the GOP is saddled with a weak candidate who can't be on the offensive against the Democrats. What a missed opportunity.

John McCain doesn’t have the heart to beat up on his “fellow Democrats”. The big question is what the heck was the GOP electorate thinking during the primary season? They all knew what McCain was all about, and they still made him the nominee. The GOP just doesn’t know how to win.

AOL is running a poll on the three candidates’ negatives. Hillary’s negatives are 61%; Obama’s negatives are 47%; and McCain’s negatives are 32% - total votes over 550,000. I thought AOL attracted a lot of libs so I was surprised to see Obama’s negatives so high.

I don't wish McCain ill, but if he should get to feeling poorly before the general--preferably before the convention--he might have to pass on the nomination, and we could be spared his liberal Democrat presidency.

Barring that, it would be nice if he were to choose Mitt, or at least no worse than Fred as his running mate.

I’ve read that Obama has stated that he will stop attending this pastor’s church. BUT, we should notice, he HAS been attending for 1,000 or so Sunday’s up til now, except of course on those Sunday’s when the Rev. said stuff that might make Obama look bad. Very prescient, this Obama guy.

I guess most freepers and the general public
just can't fathom the limits the Clintons will
do to get the nomination.

Then, having secured the nomination how many
think the Clintons would put a limit on what it
takes to return to the WH.

McCain would have a chance of beating Obama but
against the Clintons after they have pulled all
stops to get the nomination....much less than zero.

I’ve got the feeling that all the Dems crossing over selected McCain. California Republicans allow Dems to vote R without registering. But Dems won’t allow the reverse.

I personally think that’s exactly how McCain got selected. It’s not just California that allowed this. Michigan and Florida (where the Dems were told their votes wouldn’t count) most likely flocked to the Republican primaries as well in hopes of propelling the Republican THEY wanted - just in case. Open primaries are a HORRIBLE idea, IMO. As someone said here the other day — allowing open primaries is like allowing the enemy to pick your generals in a war!

There is NO DOUBT that TUCC does indeed teach this theology. It’s not only clearly shown on their website, and confirmed by Wright himself a few days ago in an “explanation” on the church’s website. But it’s written into the by-laws of the church itself.

And, interestingly in those by-laws it makes special mention that in ALL the ministries put forward by this church (Sunday school, Singles Outreach, Daycare, etc... etc...) they are required to not only teach the “Black Values System” but SPECIFICALLY Wright’s INTERPRETATION of it!

With that in mind, the fact that Obama had his children attending (being taught to hate a part of themselves) and him turning around and saying he had “no clue” holds NO WATER! If he truly had no clue (which I don’t believe for a SECOND) then he’s an even worse parent, than politician - how could one not examine the things being taught to your children - particularly as a man of mixed heritage who purports to love his white relatives and believe in unity?

When in doubt - go to the source... For those who haven't read or seen these things yet...

http://www.tucc.org/black_value_system.html
The Black Value System:
Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System, written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee, chaired by the late Vallmer Jordan in 1981.

Dr. Manford Byrd, our brother in Christ, withstood the ravage of being denied his earned ascension to the number one position in the Chicago School System. His dedication to the pursuit of excellence, despite systematic denials, has inspired the congregation of Trinity United Church of Christ. Prayerfully, we have called upon the wisdom of all past generations of suffering Blacks for guidance in fashioning an instrument of Black self-determination, the Black Value System.

Beginning in 1982, an annual Black Value System – Educational Scholarship in the name of Dr. Byrd was instituted. The first recipient of the Dr. Manford Byrd Award, which is given annually to the man or woman who best exemplifies the Black Value System, was our brother, Dr. Manford Byrd.

These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They consist of the following concepts:

1. Commitment to God. “The God of our weary years” will give us the strength to give up prayerful passivism and become Black Christian Activists, soldiers for Black freedom and the dignity of all humankind.

2. Commitment to the Black Community. The highest level of achievement for any Black person must be a contribution of strength and continuity of the Black Community.
3. Commitment to the Black Family. The Black family circle must generate strength, stability and love, despite the uncertainty of externals, because these characteristics are required if the developing person is to withstand warping by our racist competitive society.

Those Blacks who are blessed with membership in a strong family unit must reach out and expand that blessing to the less fortunate.

4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education. We must forswear anti-intellectualism. Continued survival demands that each Black person be developed to the utmost of his/her mental potential despite the inadequacies of the formal education process. “Real education” fosters understanding of ourselves as well as every aspect of our environment. Also, it develops within us the ability to fashion concepts and tools for better utilization of our resources, and more effective solutions to our problems. Since the majority of Blacks have been denied such learning, Black Education must include elements that produce high school graduates with marketable skills, a trade or qualifications for apprenticeships, or proper preparation for college.

Basic education for all Blacks should include Mathematics, Science, Logic, General Semantics, Participative Politics, Economics and Finance, and the Care and Nurture of Black minds.

5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence. To the extent that we individually reach for, even strain for excellence, we increase, geometrically, the value and resourcefulness of the Black Community. We must recognize the relativity of one’s best; this year’s best can be bettered next year. Such is the language of growth and development. We must seek to excel in every endeavor.
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic. “It is becoming harder to find qualified people to work in Chicago.” Whether this is true or not, it represents one of the many reasons given by businesses and industries for deserting the Chicago area. We must realize that a location with good facilities, adequate transportation and a reputation for producing skilled workers will attract industry. We are in competition with other cities, states and nations for jobs. High productivity must be a goal of the Black workforce.
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect. To accomplish anything worthwhile requires self-discipline. We must be a community of self-disciplined persons if we are to actualize and utilize our own human resources, instead of perpetually submitting to exploitation by others. Self-discipline, coupled with a respect for self, will enable each of us to be an instrument of Black Progress and a model for Black Youth.
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness.” Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must be able to identify the “talented tenth” of those subjugated, especially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control.

Those so identified are separated from the rest of the people by:

1. Killing them off directly, and/or fostering a social system that encourages them to kill off one another.
2. Placing them in concentration camps, and/or structuring an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.
3. Seducing them into a socioeconomic class system which, while training them to earn more dollars, hypnotizes them into believing they are better than others and teaches them to think in terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us.”
4. So, while it is permissible to chase “middleclassness” with all our might, we must avoid the third separation method – the psychological entrapment of Black “middleclassness.” If we avoid this snare, we will also diminish our “voluntary” contributions to methods A and B. And more importantly, Black people no longer will be deprived of their birthright: the leadership, resourcefulness and example of their own talented persons.

9. Pledge to Make the Fruits of All Developing and Acquired Skills Available to the Black Community.

10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions.

11. Pledge Allegiance to All Black Leadership Who Espouse and Embrace the Black Value System.

12. Personal Commitment to Embracement of the Black Value System. To measure the worth and validity of all activity in terms of positive contributions to the general welfare of the Black Community and the Advancement of Black People towards freedom.

Here is Rev. Wright's comments (Talking Points) about Black Liberation Theology from the TUCC website:

http://www.tucc.org/talking_points.htm
Dr. Wright’s talking points (3.1.7) for Trinity United Church of Christ its Web site and the Black Value System (in response to Erik Rush’s comments (2.28.07) on the Hannity and Colmes show):

• One of the biggest gaps in knowledge that causes the kind of ignorance that you hear spouted by this man [Erik Rush] and those like him, has to do with the fact that these persons are completely ignorant when it comes to the Black religious tradition. The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology that started in 1969 with the publication of Dr. James Cone’s book, Black Power and Black Theology.

• Black theology is one of the many theologies in the Americas that became popular during the liberation theology movement. They include Hispanic theology, Native American theology, Asian theology and Womanist theology.

• I use the word “systematized” because Black liberation theology was in existence long before Dr. Cone’s book. It originates in the days of the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. It was systematized and published by theologians, Old Testament scholars, New Testament scholars, ethicists, church historians, and historians of religion such as Dr. James Cone, Dr. Cain Hope Felder, Dr. Gayraud Wilmore, Dr. Jacqueline Grant, Dr. Kelley Brown Douglas, Dr. Renita Weems, Dr. Katie Cannon, Dr. Dwight Hopkins, Dr. Linda Thomas, and Dr. Randall Bailey.

• These scholars, who write in various disciplines, also include seminary presidents like Dr. John Kinney and professors of Hebrew Bible, like Dr. Jerome Ross. Black liberation theology defines Africans and African Americans as subjects – not the objects which colonizers and oppressors have consistently defined “others” as.

• We [African Americans] were always seen as objects. When we started defining ourselves, it scared those who try to control others by naming them and defining them for them; Oppressors do not like “others” defining themselves.

• To have a church whose theological perspective starts from the vantage point of Black liberation theology being its center, is not to say that African or African American people are superior to any one else.

• African-centered thought, unlike Eurocentrism, does not assume superiority and look at everyone else as being inferior.

• There is more than one center from which to view the world. In the words of Dr. Janice Hale, “Difference does not mean deficience.” It is from this vantage point that Black liberation theology speaks.

• Systematized Black liberation theology is 40 years old. Scholars of African and African American religious history show that Black liberation theology, however, has been in existence for 400 years. It is found in the songs, the sermons, the testimonies and the oral literature of Africans throughout the Diaspora.

The leading democratic officials (Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, the governors, senators, congresspeople, etc.) are not going to allow either one of these candidates to garner the nomination. Both are damaged goods for wholly different reasons: Obama has a patriotism, race and religious bigotry problem, whereas Hillary has been shown to be a scheming, back-stabbing, conniving “win-at-any-cost” bald-faced serial liar. The elders will nominate former Vice President Albert gore, Jr. and a black to be named later as his running mate. It’s the only thing they can do if they want to win in November. Gore has already made his shot across the bow with his “60 Minutes” interview, playing his strongest card, Gore-bull Warming: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/03/27/60minutes/main3974389.shtml

I think you may be right... I’ve seen a lot of chatter on various boards about this over the last few days. The DNC is scrambling to try to figure out how to unite their party — the infighting is getting REALLY bad among their activists and reg. party members. They obviously recognize that either of these two candidate will not last until November and would basically hand us (Reps) the Presidency.

I’m just curious how knocking both Hillary and Obama out would even be possible for them at this point, though. I think they’d be in for even more problems from their party activists and “reg. people” — but hey, let ‘em try I guess...

This is exactly right, and I wonder that more in the media, and more in the rat party, don't see it this way.

Look, I believe in Rush's "operation chaos" and would cross-over and vote for Hillary if I lived in PA, but I am nevertheless astounded that Hillary's campaign didn't completely end when this lie -- this lie of such stupendous proportions -- surfaced.

How can people continue to support her? It's mind-boggling.

Obama lied too, of course, claiming he wasn't aware of Wright's hate'n'treason pronouncements. But that's different. That's the kind of lie that can sound plausible, at least to his supporters.

But what is plausible about this latest Clinton Big Lie? What is in the least bit plausible?

Are all her supporters ok with the fact that she's capable of lying to this incredible degree?

It's mind-boggling.

I know that the truth means nothing to a Clinton, but is that also the case with Clinton supporters?

They do NOT want to see Beestie in the WH nor will they consider Obama-lama-Ding-Dong.

They are satisfied with McCain and told me I’ll just have to hold my nose and vote for him. I responded that I’d be looking for a place to vomit were I to ever vote for John McCain.

Here’s my question, where in the world is John McCain going to get the finanacial backing to carry him through the election? Does anybody know any everyday people who are going to contribute to McCain’s election campaign? And in anywhere near the amounts the RAT candidates are sucking in money??

I sure don’t.

McCain can get his donations from the big corporations and businesses that benefit richly from the legal and illegal aliens they hire.

However, I will vote for McCain in November because I love my country more than I dislike McCain.

If he chooses a true conservative for the Veep spot who will be a strong presidential candidate in 2112, I will send a couple of bucks. They will need it......and my political conscience tells me to participate. The socialist and commie candidates must not win. Our way of life is at stake and most of us have children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

None of my money goes to the RNC anymore. I will send any other donations I can afford to conservative candidate down the ballot that will be in tough fights in their states for important seats in Congress.

I will probably vote for him primarily for our military’s sake. But I seriously doubt I’ll send any money. Maybe with a solid conservative veep, as you mention. Maybe then.
