On 3/27/08, the Delano Police Department Gang Unit received information that a California Criminal Street Gang is going to be holding gang initiations in the Cities of Delano and McFarland. Prospective members are to collide their vehicles into random vehicles from behind. As the driver of the victim vehicle exits, the prospective members will open fire. This information has not been substantiated nor do we know if it is credible. As always, the Delano Police Department is concerened with the safety of all Delano residents and therefore, we are strongly suggesting that everyone use extreme caution if they are involved in a rear end collision. If citizens are involved in a similar type vehicle collision they should drive directly to the Delano Police Department to report minor vehicle collisions until further notice or remain in the vehicle and dial 9-1-1. We have a town up here in Oregon that is trying to pass a measure to OK asking hispanics for legal papers, meaning even the Sherriffs dept doing so.
The town folk for it want to keep their town safe simple as that and welcome legal documented Hispanics but want there town to be a no illegal habitat or work zone.
Not your average "drive by" type of initiation.
Delano is 35 miles north of Bakersfield and about 65 miles south of Fresno.
I’ll check the news tomorrow morning to see if anything really happened.

Global, the whole thing is a hoax, kids have been emailing this to police stations and other places all over the country for the past couple days.
It is a trolling campaign being spread by email, text msgs, blog posts etc.
If you look it up on the internets some police departments are admitting that they got duped.
