LIVELEAK.com removes "Fitna" after death threats

Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill informed reports from certain corners of the British media that could directly lead to the harm of some of our staff, Liveleak.com has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers.

This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else. We would like to thank the thousands of people, from all backgrounds and religions, who gave us their support. They realised LiveLeak.com is a vehicle for many opinions and not just for the support of one.

Perhaps there is still hope that this situation may produce a discussion that could benefit and educate all of us as to how we can accept one anothers culture. We stood for what we believe in, the ability to be heard, but in the end the price was too high.

The only discussion the islamists will have is one in which we unconditionally accept their culture. Period. I'd almost go so far to say that this sentence sounds like they think the film makers and their fans should "learn" from this experience in a way that allows them to "accept" the opposing culture, the very one that threatens to kill them.

Glad I got to view "Fitna" before it became history.

It is (was?) an extremely powerful documentary of Islamic brutality, thuggery and mid-evil mindset....all supported by passages from their holy book...the Quran.

Damn shame it is no longer available. Hopefully DVD's will surface in time.

Live Leak=p*****s. If I knew how to host and had the money to provide everyone with a view, I would. Live Leak does, and they are giving in to the ENEMY.

I hope the Live Leakers understand what Islam is about...although I fear they still would vote for Obama if the election was held today. And I know they would never be for restrictions on immigration and increases in deportation. This is why, in one form or another we will lose this war.

Above Freedom of Speech? Thank God we only have to depend on Live Leak for videos of funny dogs, and explosions. I totally agree. The more I think about this the more it makes me angry. When are we going to learn to value our freedom of speech? When we're all dhimmi? Men fought and died so we could have that freedom. They placed the freedom of speech for OTHERS above their own lives! And these cowards are unwilling to give their lives for their OWN freedom of speech. That's not only infuriating and sad, it's scary. It proves that we, as a society, are unwilling to even put ourselves at risk for our rights. If push comes to shove we'll just give them up without a fight! That should tell you something about how easy it will be for islamic extremists to take over. I know the people here are different, but liveleak and other popular websites are the reflection of our modern degraded society. The masses will cave and the rest of us will have to carry their dead weight in our fight to maintain our rights.

I got into another argument with my bible study facilitator last night (prior to watching the film) who insists that Islam isn’t a threat, that Mohammed is a prophet, the Koran doesn’t preach hate, Allah is just another name for Abraham’s God, our God.

Has your Bible study facilitator ever spent time in the Middle East? If not, they haven't a clue. They are just buying into the pro-Muslim propaganda, because it sounds like something we want to hear.
