RUSH: Hickory, North Carolina, Todd, you're next on the Rush Limbaugh program. Hello.
CALLER: Mega dittos, Rush, from the Tar Heel State.
RUSH: Thank you, sir.
CALLER: I just want to give an Operation Chaos bulletin. If anyone in the great state of North Carolina is wanting to participate, they need to change their voter registration by April the 11th. If it's after that, you're going to be too late.
RUSH: Got a lot of time then, you got a little over two weeks to make up your mind as to whether or not as a Republican you want to change registration and vote in the Democrat primary in North Carolina. I've been getting e-mails. I must be honest about this. I've been getting e-mails from North Carolinians who have literally been begging me to suspend Operation Chaos in North Carolina because of the importance of many of the down-ballot races on the Republican side --
CALLER: Right.
RUSH: -- for local races, the statehouse, US Congress and that sort of thing.
CALLER: Right. But we've got a pretty important governor's race going on, too, right now.
RUSH: A pretty important governor's race. Yes. That's all very true, and these things have to be taken into account. Why don't you wait for guidance from me as to what to do with North Carolina, because we may be able to sacrifice a state here in Operation Chaos. If that state has some truly, truly important Republican down-ballot races that people need to participate in, we might suspend and exempt North Carolina, special dispensation. I haven't decided on it yet.
CALLER: Well, only with your grace and blessing.
RUSH: Well, I appreciate that, sir. You know, loyalty to the commanding officer is required --
CALLER: There you go.
RUSH: -- for any successful operation, chaos or otherwise, to succeed. I haven't gotten any from Pennsylvania because the Republicans know they don't have a prayer there anyway. Philadelphia, Pittsburgh don't have a prayer so they're happy to have fun with their vote count for something because it doesn't as Republicans. Now, Harrisburg, we own. Allentown, we own that. Wilkes-Barre, we own that. Pennsylvania is like a mini-United States. You've got Philadelphia on the East Coast, Pittsburgh on the West Coast, and you America in between. (laughing) Fly-over. I love both of these cities. I go to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia a lot. But really, in Philadelphia, Republicans know, you know, lost cause, unless your vote's for Arlen Specter. Pittsburgh is much the same way. So we haven't had any requests from people in Philadelphia. We did not get any requests from any Pennsylvanians to suspend Operation Chaos in that state, nor have I heard any from Indiana, but I have heard from a lot of people in North Carolina. So we'll figure it all out, folks. Wait for orders from headquarters.

I would be very surprised if Obama was leading Hillary among NC Dems.....but it does appear that the black Democrat vote isgoing overwhelmingly to Obama.
So....the polls may be correct showing Obama leading in NC.
A lot actually. There’s been a number of local political uprisings over this. Democratic blacks switching sides because they feel their kids are getting squeezed out of public schools.
Not that many illegals in Hickory. They are mostly in Charlotte where the most jobs are. They have a Mong festival every year down the road in Morganton though.
To all Interested Conservative Activists: YOU HAVE UNTIL APRIL 11th 2008 TO GET INVOLVED OR POSITION YOURSELF FOR OPERATION CHAOS NC CAMPAIGN. YOU MUST RE-REGISTER AS AN “UNAFILLIATED” VOTER.
DO NOT WAIT FOR “ORDERS” TO GET STEP ONE DONE!
STEP ONE: Re-Register as an “Unaffiliated” Voter in North Carolina. Only by doing this can you can Democrat or Republican in both the Primary and General elections. You could register as a “Democrat” but this is needless and pointless to do and would take too much of your soul. All you need to be for now is “Unaffiliated”.
Do not delay. Go to your local Library or Post Office and pick up a NC Voter Registration card. Note the mailing address of your local county Board of Elections (BOE) on the box holding the registration card or you can always Google it easily. Fill out the card and be sure to scrawl somewhere on there for good measure that you are a Republican who wants to re-register as an “Unaffiliated” (what NC calls Independent). Fill out all the info on the card, takes you all of five minutes. Fold it, address it, stamp it and mail it to your county BOE. Or you can drop it by if you want. Then call your BOE after a few days to insure they re-registered you to your satisfaction. They can pull it right up on the state wide voter registration system.
STEP TWO: For those who don’t want to take the time to go vote in the Primary i.e. stand in line – you don’t have to. You can vote by Absentee ballot and you don’t need any reason to vote absentee. Not that the lines are long anyway in Primary Elections but if you are like me and hate extra trips or lines then this is for you. Stop by your BOE just before the election and pick up a DEMOCRAT Absentee ballot and you can vote now. You can also write them a simple note with your name and date of birth and address on it, asking to vote DEMOCRAT by Absentee ballot and send it to your BOE (or fax, or hand carry).

Hillary becomes the candidate for the dem party. Hillary picks Obama as her running mate (the only way she can win) and the party comes together and beat the living chap out Mac. Guess who will be stuck with Hillary for the next eight years? And to add insult to injury, Obama can be the pres for the next eight years afterwards. Without the “Operation Chaos”, Obama wins and Mac becomes the pres for the next four years.
Operation Chaos is the dumbest idea this side of stupidity. No love will be lost for Rush because this will give him something to hem and haw about for the next 16 years and sell more t-shirts and hats.
Operation Chaos (taken from the play books of the DEMs) is a dumb idea and those of you that let Rush think for you will pay the price for years to come.
Hillary needed to knock it out of the park in Texas and Ohio to have a CHANCE to catch Obama in the delegate count. She won both by less than expected margins and didn't significantly dent Obama’s delegate lead. Not only that her lead in Pennsylvania has shrunk to nearly nothing so even after that primary I doubt anything will be settled.
The convention will have either Hillary getting the nod on the strength of super delegates, not the elected delegates, or Obama getting it with super delegates turning their back on Hillary in the interest of not “stealing the nomination” from the popularly elected Obama and throwing the convention into a riot.
I'm hoping for the riot!
I really cannot see Hillary #2 on an Obama ticket, OR Obama #2 on a Hillary ticket.
Finally, unless something significant happens, Democrats have been out polling Republicans by about half again THROUGHOUT the country. McCain will have to really pull something out of his Astrological SignS to defeat either Hillary or Obama come November.
The above is my opinion, so it is worth what you paid for it.
You and I are a tiny minority here who see the real goal behind the so called operation chaos which is indeed operation elect Hillary Clinton.
The Clintons are coming back to kick your butt and destroy the country. Did you miss the Clintons boots on your neck?
I'm not looking forward to ANY time under a President Clinton or President Obama, but if you have any ideas how to prevent it I'm listening. The presumptive Republican Nominee apparently won't engage either Democrat, and you just ignored the part about HILLARY CANNOT CATCH BARRACK, she can't do it.
Finally, folks need to prepare themselves even if McCain can win, the Congress he will most likely have WILL NOT extend the Tax Cuts. Either Democrat may not be happy with the automatic tax increase in 2010 and may try to either more it up, or increase taxes above the old rate, either one will extend our current downturn. Any of you folks who remember the Carter 10-11% unemployment, 19% interest rates, gas lines, and Nixon's price controls hope you're feeling nostalgic cause here they come. In the interest of full disclosure McCain's Carbon Tax idea's are going to crater the economy also so pick your poison.
I don't want to doom and gloom, but Fred(my guy), Rudy, Mitt, Huck, and Duncan didn't “Git ‘R Dun” couldn't glue together enough folks, and a few may not have been any better than McCain, so we're stuck with McCain and I can't see him changing the above cited voter split enough to win come the General. I'm not wishing it, I just don't want folks having ROSE COLORED GLASSES and waking up the day after the Election wondering what happened.
So what’s to stop Obama from picking Hillary with or without Operation Chaos, using your logic? And if that’s the case, then why does Operation Chaos matter one way or the other?
Like most short sighted people who are terrified of Hillary (you seriously think Republicans can’t beat Hillary at this point? Seriously?), what you fail to see is that this is about maintaining and expanding the divide in the Democrat party all the way to Denver (riots are possible, happened before) where even the Democrats admit that if that happens they will not be able to pull their party together in the 2 months remaining to the General and that scenario is a sure win for McCain according to most Dems.
The Democrats have went to their convention bitterly divided at least twice in the past and each time this happened they lost the general election. History has a way of repeating itself especially in politics.
I am convinced that the most of the Rush Haters here who are coming out strongly against Operation Chaos simply don’t want a McCain win, for whatever reason. And if that’s the case, why not just come right out and say it? So the question to you point blank is, do you or do you not want a McCain win?
This is about Operation Chaos in NC. You don’t register as a Dem in NC to participate in OC in NC. You register as an Unafilliated. So how is that filling up the Dem data base? Besides, I enjoy tweaking Dems whenever I get a chance and I have not thrown my arm out yet dropping ANY junk mail into the garbage.
The real question is point blank: Do you want McCain to win the presidency?
