Haditha Exposed- The “Shadow Conspiracy”
Since 21 December 2006 seven Marines and their families have been persecuted by the United States government. The Thomas Moore Society has taken the first steps in exposing the “shadow regime” agenda to vilify Our Haditha Marines.” The battle for three of these Marines is not over. I shutter to think of the tactics which will now be employed against these brave and honorable men.
I don’t know how far up the chain this conspiracy goes, but if you follow the money, it leads me to one place.
Donald C. Winter is the 74th Secretary of the Navy, sworn into office on Jan. 3, 2006. As Secretary of the Navy, Dr. Winter leads America's Navy and Marine Corps Team and is responsible for an annual budget in excess of $125 billion and almost 900,000 people.
Prior to joining the administration of President George W. Bush, Dr. Winter served as a corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector. In that position he oversaw operation of the business and its 18,000 employees, providing information technology systems and services; systems engineering and analysis; systems development and integration; scientific, engineering, and technical services; and enterprise management services. Dr. Winter also served on the company's corporate policy council.
Previously, Dr. Winter served as president and CEO of TRW Systems; vice president and deputy general manager for group development of TRW’s Space & Electronics business; and vice president and general manager of the defense systems division of TRW. From 1980 to 1982, he was with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency as program manager for space acquisition, tracking, and pointing programs.
In 2002, Northrop Grumman was the 3rd largest US defense contractor. Northrop Grumman received 8.7 BILLION DOLLARS from the United States taxpayers for defense projects.
In 2002, TRW Systems received 2.0 BILLION DOLLARS from United States taxpayers for defense contracts. (I do not have figures beyond 2002)
Is it plausible that somewhere along the line, Donald Winter and Congressman John Murtha –Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Defense Appropriations- met? Would it be plausible to think they became acquaintances? Would it be plausible to say Northrup Grumann would be better served if John Murtha remained in office? Unphased by his Haditha comments?
John Murtha and Donald Winter may be total strangers. I believe the Thomas Moore Society has cast solid doubts that SecNav Donald Winter was an unbiased participant in the Haditha persecutions. I believe his ties with Northrop Grumman, TRW and defense appropriations will lead us to Haditha and John Murtha.
All I am asking is SecNav Donald Winter address the concerns I have raised. For after all----he is innocent until proven guilty!

Murtha has a long history of ethical problems.
Looks like this was written solely for readers fully familiar with the allegations and details of a “shadow conspiracy.” As is stands now, the piece makes little, if any, sense.
I have no problem with conspiracy theories (and in fact give most good ones their due) but in the case of Winter, I have to take the Arcum’s Razor approach - - I think Winter is simply the cowardly, incompetent political hack he appears to be.
Rudder: Yes, this was written for those of us who have been following the Haditha fiasco for the past two years. Try Googling “Justin Sharratt” and “Haditha Marines”. It is an amazing (if disrgaceful) story about a squad of heroic Marines who engaged in battle against insurgents following an IED blast that killed one Marine and seriously injured two others. A naive, overzealous reporter for TIME Magazine was subsequently duped by a couple of insurgent propagandists and the Pentagon and the Bush Administration then caved to liberal pressure and thought they could make the controversy go away if they simply threw a few Marines under the bus. Those cowards were very wrong.

1. Murtha made obscene and treasonous PUBLIC charges against the Marines currently charged. To date, charges have been dropped against 4 of the 7 Marines.
2. Murtha can make or break a Military Contractor from his position on the House Subcommittee on Defense Appropriations.
3. Murtha is STRONGLY motivated to see at least some Marines charged with violating the ROE and going on a “wild, cold blooded killing spree”.
4. Current Sec. of the Navy has had STRONG ties to several corporations who rely upon HEAVY military spending — initiated from Murtha’s Subcommittee...
5. Current Sec. of the Navy will very likely return to the Corporate world when the “new administration” comes in in 2009.
6. It would seem this Sec. of the Navy is subject to excessive pressure to ensure there is at lease SOMEONE hung out to dry to help get Murtha off the hook.....and “earn” his “gratitude”..
7. The poster is concerned that “political/financial issues” may color the integrity of the persecution..... And, I meant persecution..... The private and military defense attorneys have been kicking the persecution's ass all over the courtroom — BUT - the persecution only need to “hang” one Marine to provide cover for Murtha’s treasonous remarks against them....
Murtha needs to be charged, sued or simply flushed — which is appropriate for the turd that he has become..

My critique is not about the Haditha story, but about the deficiencies of this piece-—which stand, despite your defensiveness.
I agree with everything in your post except to note that your reply, like this article, does not explain ‘shadow conspiracy.’ I haven’t read all the articles about Haditha, but I have been following this since the beginning. Then a new wrinkle appeared: the ‘shadow conspiracy,’ and I have not seen an article that explains this ‘shadow conspiracy’ adequately.
And those steps are?

I have thought that for some time now, RR. It is so true.
Also, the liberals benefit if they can extend their defeat on Haditha until AFTER this next election. I believe that undue command influence groups will see that this is put on a back burner until the election, and that after the election it will be settled quickly before the next administration takes over.....
(Unless it's a Hillary victory, in which case she will declare martial law, form a dictatorship, and throw all her opponents in jail. /sarcasm)

A loyal American who would carry a grudge against the kind of turds who would prosecute our Marines without cause -- except for the money involved...
Wouldn't it be terrific if ALL the scum involved in this fraudulent prosecution ended up destroyed financially, publicly, socially and personally as they deserve and the public honor of the persecuted Marines is totally reinstated. (Their genuine, personal honor is intrinsic and cannot be taken from them by poseurs and traitors.)
Is it a mere coincidence that a day after the Thomas Moore Society mentions the existence of a “shadow regime” the charges against LCpl Stephen Tatum are dismissed?
I too am awaiting more disclosure from the attorneys of LtCol Chesanni!

The thing is, not every thread can have an introductory tutorial for people unfamiliar with a particular subject. In the case of this thread the poster, the father of one of the Marines, can offer insight unavailable elsewhere.

While I’ve always been leary of conspiracy theories I believe it’s more than just a possibility in this case.
With murtha’s history of corruption and being tied in closely with defense contractors over the years as a Congressman and Winter being a major player in defense companies for so long, it’s a certainty there paths have crossed.
They both have gone out of their way to persecute these Marines. Murtha shot off his big mouth months before the investigation was completed. Winter refused to take any action against NCIS agents and supervisors that clearly screwed up according to NCIS agent testimony under oath in the hearings.
Also, there were sixty five or so agents assigned to the investigation, the largest investigation in the history of NCIS and Winter is the head man.
I’m not saying for certain that a conspiracy took place but enough coincidenses exist to point to the posibility. With Murtha’s lack of integrity and the fact Winter didn’t care about the lack of professionalism in the NCIS adds to that possibility, IMO.
By now you all know that I live in Murtha’s 12th Cong District. When I talk to people about Murtha, they know he is corrupt, they know he self indulging, self interests but they accept this.
Now that his false accusations about Haditha from 17 May 2006 forward have been exposed, I feel he is vulnerable. Not one politician, not one msm source will step forward and further the cause to censure Murtha. Not one will step forward and question him on his false allegations. He violated Our Haditha Marines’ Constitutional rights regarding due process and the presumption of innocence and no one will call him to task for these violations.
I’m not big on conspiracy theories either(hard to prove) but who or what is protecting this man. He too, is innocent until proven guilty, but why won’t we ask the questions? Why are we not demanding the justice and trials he brought upon my son and his Haditha Marine comrades?

You ask legimate questions I don’t have answers for. I’ve wondered the same things since being involved with other FReepers in Diana Irey’s campaign.
The majority of the people in his district are too tied into his pork which has provided jobs to unseat him, that was evident when Irey ran against him and you living in the district know it better than anyone.
He squirmed out of the ABSCAM debacle, no small feat for someone as involved as he was.
Many of his fellow Rat Congressmen know of his corruption but won’t take any serious action against him. At least they wouldn’t abide his corruption when it came to Majority Leader but not voting him in for that is much different than censuring him for unethical conduct, they just won’t do it.
The quashing of the deposition is baffling to me, I suspect pressure from above (Winter, Murtha) in that but that would mean the hearing officer was involved so I don’t know.
I pray that the remaining three Marines will have charges dismissed or be found not guilty. If that happens Murtha is going to have to answer questions (for sure) he has refused to up to this point.

I think it’s highly likely that Winter and Murtha are acquaintances, at the very least, but one doesn’t have to even talk about a conspiracy to note that the SecNav has a strong motivation to avoid pissing off someone in Murtha’s position...... especially someone known to be as unbalanced, vicious, corrupt, and vindictive as John Murtha. So, it would take a very strong and conscientious SecNav to defy what he knows Murtha wants, and I’m not at all sure we have that in our current SecNav based upon what we’ve seen in the lack of proper oversight of NCIS, etc.

Last I read was that Rumsfeld assembled a pre-prosecution group ostensibly for --what reason? (not according to the conspiracy theory, but what did Rumsfeld say or do? re: Haditha.)
