The gulf war liberated Kuwait and saved the GCC. Had Saddam prevailed you would probably not have a computer to post on. Much of what we have now would never have come about becuse we would still be reordering our day to day living.
The attack and war in Iraq and Afghanistan established a strategic presence that has saved our way of life from destruction or at least deterioriation.
Like them or not, we have good friends an allies in the Gulf who need the shield we are providing. The invasion of Iraq changed the course of world history in a very positive manner.
No bert, you misread the meaning of my post. Gulf 1 failed because Bush Sr. stopped short of completely defeating Saddam. And because he didn’t do that, we had to go back in and take him out in Gulf war 2. I have no clue how you missed that...
