The Rev. Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson are sitting on a couch and in walks Al Gore.
This isn't a joke.
It's the plot of a new commercial in the former vice president's fight against global warming. Gore and his nonprofit agency, the Alliance for Climate Protection, are pitting odd couplings - think Sharpton and Robertson - in a series of public-service announcements to draw attention to the environment.
The $300 million campaign is expected to launch next week, CBS News reported. Gore talks up his views in a "60 Minutes" interview set to air Sunday.

The public-service announcement - apparently Gore was directing - is meant to show that people who don't agree on much can still agree that the environment is important.
CBS reported other pairings will include Toby Keith and the Dixie Chicks and Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich.
Well, for any Newt supporters (along with McPane as well as our esteemed Compassionate Conservative Leader, W) what say you?
It would appear that these threeand apparently many other Republicans and Conservatives--have drank some FoolAid and have all lost their minds as a result.

As far as Bush is concerned, well, I had better not say what Im thinking or Im apt to get banned.
McLame? Hes an Fn RINO who is pandering for the left vote
Robertson? Who knows?
But Newt? The Architect of the Contract With America? Mr. Conservative?
If this isnt enough to drive us Conservatives right up a wall I dont know what it.
How can so many supposedly educated and intelligent people accept this wholly fraudulent and phony Climate Change concept?
Small wonder that so many of us are discouraged over the absence of any Leadership from the Conservative side and worse, have NO ONE who is even on the Horizon.
Sharpton and Robertson; Newt and Pelosi?
Its worse than The Twilight Zone.

Ping me if you find one I've missed.
The Rev. Pat Robertson believes in the global warming scam? That’s news to me.
“Gore and his nonprofit agency, the Alliance for Climate Protection”
“nonprofit” my a$$.
Global Albanian Ponzi Scheme.
South Park needs to parody this.
Wasn’t Gore’s father hooked into Armand Hammer who was a Soviet agent? I’m thinking that nothing is as it appears with that dope.
Me too. Maybe its a "religious" thing.
Noticed there are many liberal theology churches and congregations throughout the country who are now preaching this nonsense.
Not in my church, thank God, or I'd be looking for another place to worship.
Pat Robertson has cashed in all credibullity he had a televangelist by partnering with a known antisemite who claims to be a preacher without a church and a rich demagogue from a political dynasty.
Here's a still from the shoot.
“How can so many supposedly educated and intelligent people accept this wholly fraudulent and phony Climate Change concept?”
Because their brains have been damaged by the ever increasing amount of CO2 in the atmosphere! And it’s all our fault! We’re gettin’ stoopid because of Manmade Global Warming!
Won't happen
He's managed to go from "has been--also ran" to gazillionaire with this Globull Warming scam
Its the same reason so many businesses have also jumped on the "Golden Goose" bandwagon
Remember that old addage: "Follow the money!!"
Where is Michael Crichton when you need him?
The left still trashes Robertson like he is some kind of right winger but it seems he has been off the conservative farm for a long time. I gave up on him when he said the forced abortion policies in China were none of our business. But Pat is still lumped in with these so called Christian rightists who are trying to take over our lives and destroy anyone who disagrees with them. Like Christianity is a greater threat to us than a certain other religion....

How many more “jump the shark” moments are we going to see here? If I had a priest or preacher tell me he believed in man-made global warming, I’d have to figure he was too stupid to understand or preach the Gospel.
If these nut jobs are allowed to sell their snake oil, and global warming happens anyway (as it has dozens of times in history), do we get our money back?
Or do they just get to ask for MORE money?
How can we overcome $300 million in false advertising?

Ohh WOE is me... whys everybody pickin on me???
“Senility strikes hard”
"There will be a story featuring Al Gore and his climate views on CBS 60 minutes this weekend. Normally I dont pay much heed to this program, but Gore is publicly calling those who question the science
almost like the ones who still believe that the moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona and those who believe the world is flat."
This newspaper has an annoying habit of making a paragraph out of every sentence no matter how short. A paragraph supports reading comprehension. It starts with a main point which is followed by supporting details. They do manage to get the who, what, when, where, why, and how out but you have to read many annoying short paragraphs when this should be contained all in the first.
“do we get our money back?”
No, they’ll just take more!
A good many of these "non-profit" agencies are nothing but expense accounts for people like Algore.
They keep their real income from investments in the bank and use the "non-profit" to pay themselves a salary (an expense of the "non-profit" agency) as well as airfare, hotels bills, meals, rental car (or in the case of Algore.... a chauffered limosine).
They do nothing but travel around and live the high life at the "non-profit" agency's expense.
The "non-profit" agency truly is that since there is usually nothing left.
Could there be another reason that Gore is in the news?
$300-million? Seems like at the least the article should report who’s
paying for the “campaign.”
Maybe he's too busy Leg pressing 2000 pounds!

Sometimes I feel like Pat Robertson is.. well.. sort of a fraud.
It’s a shame, because he does lead many to Christ. He’s good at that! IMOHO, he should stick to what he does best and leave politics alone.

They're neither educated nor intelligent. Besides, they all have far more powerful motivator than common sense to guide them...
Agreed. If Pat Robertson believes in Globaloney, I’ll have to say - finally - bye bye, Pat. It was good to know ya....
Same for Newt and same for all the Repubs who have bought into this freedom-killng, tyranny spreading, non-scientific garbage.
Sigh - this is true - re: Pat Robertson....sigh

He will be talking about why he is on this ad on his March 31 CBN program....
Bad mistake, Pat.
Want to send a well written, non vitriolic....tasteful..thoughtful...comment to CBN re: Pat Robertson’s participation in this?
http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/347467.aspx
And all that money goes straight to the MSM of course.
Now global warming?
Robertson usually has more sense than this.
This is truly disappointing.
He has financial interests in China and even refused to criticize them on their persecution of a religious sect who he said it was OK since they were a cult.
You can leave a comment on that CBN website. Please do so.
Oops. I sent you a reply before I read that one. I left a reply; I hope it was “respectful” enough.
If somebody was thinking Pat Robertsons participation in this would do anything to validate the global warming fraud among conservatives, they were wrong.
Pat Robertson invalidates himself by doing this.
I did leave a comment and received a reply from CBN today basically quoting word for word one of the paragraphs on the CBN website re: Pat has always cared about taking care of this fragile planet.
However, Pat evidently does not care about the coming oppression which will be enforced by law and taxes on the everyday American (and those in Europe) in order to “save the planet” from globaloney.
I am very disappointed in Pat Robertson about this issue and have supported him many times when others have sought to trash him.
