Nothing makes people want to see something more than banning it, or even better yet, telling them they may not be able to handle it (remember the Blair Witch Project?). On that basis, the new film Fitna, must be pulling in internet viewers by the tens of millions.

There are a whole bunch of fake “Fitna” videos on YouTube. Many of which are pro-islam trying to spam the indexes and some by jokers who stupidly interfere with showing the world what this beast does around the world.

If the Dutch have a problem with it, perhaps they should sanction/prosecute those who provided the material, not those who simply presented it out of concern for their countrymen.

The little work of fiction, the Koran or Qu’uran or WTF ever it is is hate on paper. Pure hate. No real god would ever have hate like that. God has righteous hate, particularly of sin. This allah cat is probably bellied up to the Hellhole bar with Hitler and all his pals as we speak, accompanied by Muhammocks.

The left has it wrong. This film does not incite to violence. The death cultists are already violent. They learned their violence from their parents, their spiritual leaders and their religious literature. They’ve already been incited to violence.
The film is to alert normal people to the violent nature of the death cult.

Fitna was an outstanding video and it needs to be seen by every American.The American people have to know what’s coming their way if Islam should get a toe-hold in the U.S.

The only things in the movie that are even remotely controversial is the use of the Mohamed cartoon and the one seen where there is a sound of a page being torn from a book.
The rest is simply Muslims saying the things Muslims say, and the results of Muslim terror. No one can deny that they Muslims said those things and no one can deny the Muslim terrorists caused the carnage they caused.
Wilders has performed a great public service with this film and deserves strong support for his courage.
But I honestly think that "Islam, What the West Needs to Know" is a better film. I can only tell you that Wald Shoebat, the almost-suicide-bomber in this film, knocked my socks off.

Only in the UN could the representative of Sudan accuse Israel of human rights violations. This waste of space on NY’s East Side has turned the concept of moral authority on its head. The sound you hear is Ralph Bunche spinning in his grave.

The sixteen minute movie shows a selection of Suras from the Qur’an, interspersed with newspaper clippings and media clips. The movie is accompanied by music from the Peer Gynt suite by Edvard Grieg, specifically Aase’s Death (Aase is the mother of Per in the play written by Henrik Ibsen).
The movie starts with a warning, stating that the movie contains “very shocking images”. During the title screen, a book is subsequently opened that resembles the Qur’an. A page in the book contains a widely-known cartoon from the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, showing the Prophet Muhammad with a bomb on his head. Next to the cartoon, a timer starts counting down from 15 minutes.
The first Sura is introduced, accompanied with Qur’anic recital and translated subtitles (the film is available in English and Dutch, among other languages).
Suras are juxtaposed to video clips of Imams stating Islamic teaching, and videos of violent atrocities committed in the name of Islam, including major terrorist attacks. The source for the English translations is unstated.
Al-Anfal, the first Sura of the film, is translated as: “Prepare for them whatever force and cavalry ye are able of gathering, to strike terror, to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies, of Allah and your enemies.” Footage of the 9/11 attacks against the USA is shown, followed by the Madrid train bombings. An Imam declares, “Allah is happy when non-muslims get killed.”
The next Sura, An-Nisa, is shown as a justification for Islamic antisemitism. An Imam raising a sword declares: “A Jew is hiding behind me, come and cut off his head. And we shall cut off his head! By Allah, we shall cut it off! Oh Jews! Allahu Akbar! Jihad for the sake of Allah!” An auditorium of several hundred people respond with approving chants and fist shaking.
Following this, a three year old Muslim girl, named Basmallah, calls Jews “apes and pigs” during an interview on Saudi Arabian television channel, Iqra TV. More antisemitism is shown by another Imam, who states: “The Jews are Jews. They are the ones who must be butchered and killed.” Child soldiers are shown uniformed and holding guns.
Still pictures of demonstrators holding banners declaring “God Bless Hitler” and “Be Prepared For the Real Holocaust” are shown.
Sura 47, Verse 4 is shown in relation to the murder of Dutch film director Theo Van Gogh, committed by Mohammed Bouyeri. Bouyeri is reported as saying: “If I had the opportunity to get out of prison, and I had the opportunity to do it again, what I did on November 2nd, Allah I would have done exactly the same.” Protesters are shown supporting Van Gogh’s murder, warning others to heed lessons or “pay with your blood”.
Dutch newspaper headlines are reproduced, outlining intimidating threats of murder to prominent questioners of Islam, followed by footage of Jack Hensley’s beheading. Hensley’s decapitated head is shown held up by Al-Qaeda terrorists.
Sura 4 is heard, and is used to demonstrate Islam’s Ummah ideal. The Sura is translated here as: “They but wish that ye should reject faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing as they, so take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah. But if they turn renegades, seize them and kill them wherever ye find them, and take no friends or helpers from their ranks.” An Imam declares: “Islam is (more) superior than the Jews, than the Christians, than the Buddhists, than the Hindus. The only (law) Allah accepts is Islam.”
The final Suma shown is Sura 8, verse 39: “Fight them until there is no dissension, and the religion is entirely Allah’s.” This reinforces the previous segment, with Imams delivering proclamations of Islamic superiority to followers:
“Islam is a religion that wants to rule the world. It has done so before and eventually will rule it again.”
President of Iran, states:
“The message of the Revolution is global, and is not restricted to a specific place or time. Have no doubt... Allah willing, Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountain tops of the world.”
Another Imam says to his supporters,
“We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the day will come when we will rule the entire world again! The day will come when we will rule America. The day will come when we will rule Britain and the entire world!”
The final segment of the film deals with issues related to Islam in the Netherlands, under the heading: “The Netherlands under the spell of islam”. These issues include Islam’s opposition to democracy, opposition to homosexuals, opposition to women’s rights, and immigration.
An unidentified person claims that “The mosque will be part of the system of the government of Holland”, in an apparant refusal to accept democracy. Wilders’ political ambitions may be found more readily here, as shown through his use of juxtaposing a newspaper headline “Cabinet: no ban on burqa against a Muslim woman fully covered up. A graph illustrating the number of Muslims in Holland since 1909 is shown, against a background of Muslim women. Dutch police are shown removing their shoes before entering a mosque.
A Dutch Muslim says he will enact an honor killing if his mother or sister “have sex with someone else”. Another refuses to accept adultery or homosexuality, saying that “Islam considers something like that a crime.”
A postcard is shown, ostensibly from Holland, with pictures of mosques in place of visitor attractions, with the words “Groeten uit Nederland” superimposed.
Audio recordings that are said to have been taken from mosques in Holland show Imams denouncing political parties, “worldly concepts like liberalism [and] democracy.” Another states that adulterers must be “stoned” to death. A graphic image of gays being hanged, under Sharia law is a depiction of a possible future dystopia of Holland. Children are shown with blood covering their faces, after being cut with knives by older people. Female circumcision is implied, and a decapitated woman’s head is shown lying on a floor. Another woman dressed in a burqa is shot through the head by a man.
Finally, a succession of newspaper headlines are shown, containing stories related to Islam in the Netherlands, their views, actions, ambitions and politics. Some verified headlines are:
“Sudanese demand execution of British ‘miss teddy bear”
Almost half of young Moroccans anti-western”
Moroccans throw gay in water”
“Throw gays from tall buildings”
“Al-Qaeda proclaims death penalty Jihad against Wilders”
The movie ends with a hand seen gripping a page of the Qur’an. As the frame goes black, a tearing sound is heard and the following rolls over the screen:

After these lines have scrolled over the screen, the cartoon that was also shown during the start of the movie is shown, that resembles the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, carrying a bomb on his head, and the counter next to the image reaches zero. A lightning flash is shown, followed by the ending title screen, in which the book that resembles the Qur’an is closed and the characters of “Fitna” blur to “Fin”.

Geert Wilders’ film is a hit - over 1.5 million views in English, over 2.5 million in Dutch last time I checked - but it’s nevertheless been yanked by LiveLeak, with the following statement:
Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill informed reports from certain corners of the British media that could directly lead to the harm of some of our staff, Liveleak.com has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers. This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else.
Indeed. The Internet will keep Fitna alive in odd corners hither and yon, but only to those who actively seek it out. In the wider world, it goes without saying that such a film is unacceptable, and that this time round the pre-emptive rage (as Diana West calls it) was so successful the next Fitna will have an even harder time: no movie theaters or broadcast networks or obscure cable channels would even consider showing it, and Google and YouTube and the other Internet biggies have grown increasingly comfortable with political speech-policing, and now one more small net operation has learned that, unless you want to be a 24/7 crusader on this issue, it’s not a business worth being in. In effect, the Islamobullies have been rewarded yet again for threatening physical violence. The best way to end the debate is to make the price of having one too high.
To reprise Douglas Murray’s point below, a film such as Fitna might not even be necessary were the western news organizations not so absurdly deferential toward Muslim sensibilities that they go out of their way to avoid showing us anything that might cause us to link violence with Islam. Even that footage of those depraved West Bankers jumping up and down in the street and passing out candy to celebrate 9/11 appears to have been walled up in the most impenetrable vault of the archives these last six years. Both CNN and the BBC could only bring themselves to show the Danish cartoons by pixelating Mohammed’s face - the first time this technique has ever been applied to a drawing, as if the Prophet had entered the witness protection program. At one level, they make Wilders’ point for him, but, at another, they make it less likely anyone else will step forward to try to make the point next time.
In reality, it’s the small band of people trying to resist the de facto universalization of Islamic prohibitions that have to enter the witness protection program. Wish Mr. Wilders good luck. Neither his own government nor the feeble equivalence peddler who serves as US ambassador to the Organization of the Islamic Conference are much help to him.

It’s ironic that those on The Left are the most defensive towards those people. Because if the Islamists took over the U.S., the Leftists would be the first to be put to death.
I’ve been saying that for years. They would at least respect us before they killed us, we have a warriors heart at least.
You are right, of course. All Wilders does is hold up a mirror.
Ran into the following statement at one of the morally relativistic blogs the other day:
““One can’t describe a religion that is over a millenium old in 15 mins, nor can one ascribe to it all of the things Wilder claims.”
To which I responded:
Sure you can. Let’s see. A guy named Muhammad who’d been introduced to Judaism and Christianity in his travels, decided he wanted power and land. So he used what he’d learned about the other religions to create Islam. In this new ideology, he created hate for Judaism and Christianity in order to have a reason for his army to fight them. He
made himself more powerful than Jesus and told everyone that he, himself, was the last prophet. He sent his armies out to take all the lands from the Christians and Jews.
And the legacy goes on. And on. And on.
He certainly is risking his life. There is not a collective that can defend individual Wilders from the anti-individual, anti-life collective onslaught that will beseige him. When it comes to innocent individual life, a criminal can take it. It is easy.

I find it interesting that the Western attackers of the film don't mention that the outraged Muslim reaction is not about the linking of Islam and violence. The aggrieved masses are totally on board with the violence. They're just mad that beheadings and such are being portrayed as something negative.
