The DC fans showed a serious lack of class when they boo’ed him for the first pitch.

Jon Miller...Joe Morgan...Peter Gammons are all there tonight.
1st pitch in new ball park...a strike.
1st batter for the Braves struck out.
1st hitter of the Nationals got a single to right field...advanced 2 bases after a wild pick-off throw...eventually scored on a single by Nick Johnson.

I think he is on a office chair with wheels, while leaning back, and his hand is holding the table preventing the chair from sliding backward.

The President reminds me of my brother in law-a great kidder.Funniest thing was when they (Morgan and Miller) kidded him. They put a replay of his pitch onscreen with that little superimposed strike box on it, then drew an extra large "presidential strike box" on top of that! (His pitch was right across the plate, but pretty high.)
The President got a good laugh out of that.
What a classy guy President Bush is. A total natural, nothing phony about him. I'm gonna miss him next year.

My guess is that the photo catches him either pulling himself closer to the table, or pushing himself away. (I don’t know if anyone else answered your question—I didn’t read the rest of the thread).
