Indiana has 72 Delegates and is a pretty big prize. However, Media is acting like it doesn't really exist and its all about PA and NC.
Anyone know anything how Hillary and Obama are running in Indiana?
Any Polls? Local Polls?
Who takes it? The Big Names in that State - are they behind Hillary or Obama?
BUMP!
the hoosiers haven’t been the same since bobby knight left
Evan Bayh is backing Hillary. Hoosiers do whatever Evan Bayh tells them to.
If super delegates should follow the will of the people, they should vote HILLARY!!!!
I thought Butler was going to do well, but they got screwed with a 7th seed. Never seen a top 10 team get a 7th seed before.
Hillary is ahead here. It is considered interesting because the folks up around the Chicago, Gary area will probably go Obama.
Obama will not do too well in the rural areas. Indiana used to be a big GOP state.
The GOP just refuses to put much into local campaigns. The Indiana GOP machine is a joke.
Like always here in Indiana you have the rural old time blue collar dems that will go for Hillary, and you have the urban yuppies and dashing urbanites who will all go for Barack.
Indianapolis and the northwest corner will probably break for Barack, places like Ft. Wayne also. The rest of the state will go Hillary big time I believe.
Since we are always a red state surrounded by blue the media doesn’t like to mention our State much, we are a sore spot to them that they can’t seem to rub out.
I get physically ill, reading or hearing about this election cycle and any of the candidates.
Haven’t seen any polls lately, but Senator Bayh who is a big name in Indiana supports Clinton. She has been in there lately and probably has a good chance of winning it in a close race. Obama is concentrating on limiting damage in PA and winning NC.
Nothing really going on in NWI. No campaign signs out...Kinda like a Gary gangbanger...DOA. I’ve seen one television commerical for Obama and that’s been it.
Same here in NE IN. Saw an Obama commercial last night. The Beastie Girl and Webb’s daughter spoke at the Muncie high school this last weekend.
It’s as exciting as watching paint dry here.
Thanks all for very insightful answers. Keep it going!
That’s the damn truth. It’s really how much of its identity Indiana lost upon Knight’s departure. I wish they’d bring him back.
Sounds like a FIASCO.
That my friend, is precisely one of the things I love about Indiana. Delighted to have ya'll as neighbors!
Unfortunately we have enough deadbeats & dumba$$es here in Ohio to keep us swingin' blue most of the time. But good ol' Indiana stands firm. Indiana is real America.
I ♥ Hoosiers :)
Wouldn't that be great?
I’m from northern Indiana and the only buzz I hear is how most everyone can’t stand hillary. She wanted to speak at a South Bend highschool last week and they turned her down. LOL!!!

O’Bammy is running tv ads in Indianapolis and has visited once.
The Clintons (Bill/Hill/Chels) are pretty much all over the state for the last 2 weeks.
I’m awaiting instructions from EIB/Op Chaos on which to vote for on May 6th.
Was he one of the grandsons convicted of murder in the home invasion?
Than we lose. Congratulations.
Is it because Indiana is so likely to vote GOP in November that its less of a topic? I mean at this point neither one of them can lock it away based on primaries and caucuses alone, so it may make sense for them to focus on “battleground” states to judge which of the two is the more viable candidate. Just a guess.
Back when I was traveling around the US on job related trips I always liked going to or through Indiana more than any other northern state. I'm from the south, and most Hoosiers were easier to deal with and seemed more like southern folks than people i dealt with anywhere else north of the Ohio river.
I once rented a room for a night in a lady's home in a little SE Indiana town that had no hotel or motel, and if not for her lack of a southern accent I would have sworn that courteous, dignified, refined little lady was born and raised in south GA or north FL.
I don’t believe so. She had a couple of them [grandsons] and I think the one you’re thinking of is serving a 120 year sentence in jail.
Also the early settlers here predate the Revolution, and since it took a long while for Indiana to become more urban, a lot of that original country hospitality stayed around.
One of my pleasant memories of Indiana is my trip to the Indy 500 in 1952. As a GI, I had a 3 day pass and arrived on AA the afternoon before the race. At the American counter, which was about 8 feet wide, they had a list of bed & breakfast places. A cab ride took me to a very nice home about 3 blocks from the track, where I believe I paid maybe $5 max for a very nice bed & outstanding breakfast. I think a couple of other guys were there for the race also. Walked to the 16th Street Speedway that night to watch midgets run, then walked to the Big One the next morning. I don’t think things like that are likely to ever happen again in the great old USA.
Evan is in Hitlery’s pantsuit pocket!
The WaPo had a story recently where they basically said the race was even with Hillary winning the blue collar vote and Obama dominating the polls near Chicago.
It seems like one of the few remaining races that truly could go either way.
If Obama can run a CLOSE race there, then Hildabeast’s chances of taking over the Popular vote lead would suffer significantly.
We are below the Mason Dixon line.
That explains it!
I have been to exactly one NASCAR race. One thing I noticed was that most of the license plates in the parking lot were Hoosier.
Semper Fi,
My wife's from old Kaintuck. Her ancestors migrated there from NC and what's now WV during the late 1700s.
She has ancestors on both the Hatfield and McCoy families. That may explain why she's so feisty, she inherited a double dose of meanness from those two clans. She was the only girl I ever dated whose mother carried a gun, and now that same Smith & Wesson belongs to my wife.
I think you're right, I'm sorry to say. Those days are long gone, and the people today don't even know what kind of grand old America we're talking about.
I was a bit too young for my dad to let me drive all the way to IN for the '52 Indy 500, but I was living on my own in Louisville at the time of the '57 race and I wanted badly to drive up to Indianapolis for it. But something came up, I don't remember what now, that kept me from going. I liked to go to the big Friday night modified stock car races at a track about 30-40 miles north of Louisville though. Those races were a far cry from the Indy 500, but I still enjoyed lots of fun and good times there. Sometimes I have to wonder, how did all those years fly by so fast?
So am I, waaay below. Along about where the GA/TN/NC state lines intersect to be exact.
Thanks. One of the poll in USA said 35% unsure. LOL!
Good points, I can definitely see those similarities as well. Being a Southerner-at-heart (if not in geography...yet!) I must say Indiana's my favorite state north of the Ohio River.
