Manhattan grand jury has subpoenaed the university records of the controversial black Columbia Teachers College professor who found a noose hanging from her office door - signaling that the investigation is broadening to examine possible links between the teacher, her closest friends and the racially charged incident, The Post has learned.
According to sources, the subpoenas obtained recently by the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force and prosecutors demanded the college hand over a laundry list of records pertaining to embattled professor Madonna Constantine, whose colleague found a 4-foot hangman's noose on her office doorknob last October.
The incident happened at the height of the school's probe of plagiarism charges against her.

Madonna G. Constantine[1] is professor of psychology and education at Columbia University’s Teacher’s College.
In February 2008, Constantine was sanctioned by the university for plagiarism. A Teachers College committee “found numerous instances in which she [Constantine] used others’ work without attribution in papers she published in academic journals over the past five years.”
The Spectator (the Columbia student newspaper) also conducted its own analysis of the 36 passages that were involved in Teachers College’s determination that Professor Madonna Constantine was guilty of academic plagiarism, and the paper agreed with the College that an examination of the evidence “illustrates the similarities between her writing and that of her students.”

What might not be known is that white on black crime was ALWAYS rare-even in the South during the civil rights era. Sure there were some sensational crimes that the MSM of that era reported to the nth degree. But overall white on black crime is tiny and always has been.

Accused Plagiarizer Madonna Constantine Keeps Her Job
The university’s Teachers College announced Wednesday it had imposed “serious sanctions” against Madonna G. Constantine. The college said a lengthy investigation uncovered numerous instances in which she used others’ work without attribution in papers she published in academic journals over the past five years.
Her lawyer said she had been targeted because of her race and hinted the sanctions and noose incident were linked, claims Teachers College spokeswoman Marcia Horowitz denied.

I think this was a government grant, to do this research.
I think it says that some blacks felt uncomfortable with white counselors, and this feeling made the therapeutic session run poorly. I can understand not bonding with a therapist that you don't feel comfortable with.
I'll have to read the paper to learn what the definition of microagressino is, though.
Oh well, if she steps down, a chaired position will be created for her at an even more presigious university.

It's pure undiluted academic gibberish. It allows academics to keep their jobs without the bother of any real subject matter or substance.
The truth is that at any serious school she would be out on her a$$ for the extent of her plagarism. I've known undergrads that were expelled and tenured professors that were fired for less cause.
