When T’wit left, he passed the baton to us. Every morning I post I cannot help but pass my thoughts through his filter with the desire that they approach his wisdom. He kept up that perseverance and urge to us all right up until his last moments. In that respect he is still with us in spirit.

Nat Hentoff wrote a piece on Tuesday about the Schiavo Family Foundation. My father was in a vegetative state for three years following a stroke. I have had elderly relatives in nursing homes as they lingered close to death. I have told my relatives that I do not wish to endure either situation, nor do I wish to squander the nation's medical reserve, nor do I wish to wait to be "cruelly starved and dehydrated" to accomplish my ends. Because there is no "right to die" in California, this probably means that I will have to terminate my life myself before it is really necessary. Carol Atwood Santa Cruz

In 2001, the Schindler family the parents, brother and sister of Terri Schiavo formed the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation to try to save the life of their loved one who, as her brother, Bobby Schindler, said to me recently, was deemed unworthy of life because she was cognitively disabled. The judiciary and the press did not agree with that justified accusation that Terri was cruelly starved and dehydrated to death...........

Huh?
You just can’t look for logic in this morass. It is all about emotion and symbols like torches and global warming and kum by yah. Somehow when I think of morass I think of Hillary.
Does she realize how utterly idiotic this sounds? NOBODY needs a "right" to die, it is going to happen to all of us no matter what.
But she says it so softly... She doesn’t say she is going to off herself, or commit suicide or croak herself, but uses gentle words. It is all about feelings, not meanings. Word meanings are for others, like those who think.
And what is this crap? Three years ago we were told it was "euphoric," when did it become cruel? The leftist death cult should really take some lessons from Muhammad's death cult of even the Nazis, consistent propaganda is key to an evil agenda.
That is where cognitive dissonance, hallmark of a liberal, comes into play. That is how they can weep over a baby seal meeting a bat, but chuckle at a scissors to the head of a baby about to be born. They can keep both thoughts side by side and not have a clue of the conflict. It is a gift from the dark side.
I just ordered a custom holster for my Kimber, it's going to elephant with alligator trim, I can't wait to wear it around some liberals!
WTF?
Yeah, I asked the same thing. I guess liberals think that there is a “reserve” for everything. I wonder if this woman knows that Mikey spent TERRI’S MONEY to kill her.
Medical care does not get better by rationing it. I don’t want a doctor who has been saving himself up for me. I want a doctor with experience. Liberals want doctors who have been saving themselves, and spouses who haven’t. MORONS!
Nat Hentoff needs our prayers.
Though more than three years have passed since the Schindler family's lost their years-long legal battle to save her life, Schindler says the public still wrongly believes some of the misnomers that appeared in the media.
Though Terri was not on artificial respiration and not in a persistent vegetative state, Schindler told the students many Americans still think that was the case and that Terri had no interaction with his family and that she had some sort of terminal illness.
Though much confusion still exists about Terris condition, Terri was not terminal or dying, and her brain injury was not going to cause her to die, Schindler said, according to a Daily Princeton report....

NEW YORK, April 10, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Fr. Frank Pavone, the well-known head of the US organisation, Priests for Life, has recently posted two videos to the internet video website YouTube in which he demonstrates in graphic detail exactly what happens to a child in a surgical abortion. Using a plastic model of a child at 18 weeks gestation, a common age for surgical abortions, Fr. Pavone holds up a pair of forceps and demonstrates the procedure of dismemberment.
He says dispassionately, "The forceps are used to grab one of the extremities of the child...and to pull them off. Literally it is a dismemberment abortion. The legs are pulled off the child; the arms are pulled off; the rest of the body is taken out piece by piece and then the head is crushed and the contents of the head come out as well."...

Unfortunately too much misinformation was deliberately promoted about Terri, and too many believed the lies.

TALLAHASSEE | Raoul Cantero III, the first Hispanic to serve on the Florida Supreme Court and one of its most conservative members, said Friday he is resigning in September for personal reasons.
~Snip~
Cantero said Friday that his most memorable case was the 2004 ruling that struck down a law Bush had rushed through the Legislature in an attempt to keep brain-damaged Terri Schiavo alive. In an opinion written by Justice Barbara Pariente the justices ruled the law unconstitutionally attempted to reverse lower court decisions permitting the removal of the woman's feeding tube. With the tube removed, Schiavo died.
"It was a proud moment for us that we were able to reach a unanimous decision," Cantero said. "We were able to work through the issues dispassionately."...........
