The Justice Department is asking the Supreme Court to review a federal appeals court decision limiting the Navy's use of sonar off the Southern California coast because of potential harm to dolphins and whales.
In a petition filed Monday, the Justice Department argues that the decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco jeopardizes the Navy's ability to train sailors and Marines for service in wartime.

The fact we even have to CONSIDER this sort of case is absurd.
The continued sitting of these justices, on the 9th circuit, without significant amounts of tar and feathers on them, is absurd.

Instead of asking the “High Court” to review the case, I think I would be pushing Homeland Security to investigate the traitors in the 9th Circuit... Treason is punishable by death...

Court sponsored rabid environmentalism - The last refuge of scoundrels. Not exactly. It's far worse than that. This internationalist power grab by means of multilateral environmental treaties has been going on since at least the late 1930s. The courts are merely following that body of law which was created out of means slipped into the Constitution from the beginning.

Can anyone identify this Carrier? I'm sending the pic "that I took today"
to my father(72) (2nd Class Petty Officer, retired, 30yrs). And he loves
the pictures of the ships in the bay here in the Chesapeake Bay.
I need to identify the vessels for him, but I lost the
link that I used for this purpose. Any help will
be humbly appreciated.

Hey Max, I don't think that's a carrier, but an Amphibious Assault Ship. I believe it's a Wasp Class LHD. Being Hull 3 it would be the USS Kearsarge LHD-3 which is home ported out of Norfolk.
They are huge ships, my wife NavyGal spent 2 yrs on the Wasp LHD-1, and you have to go on them to really get a sense of it!
