James Earl Ray's brother claims federal government killed Martin Luther King
The dust has never settled since the shots that killed Martin Luther King Jr. were fired, as conspiracy theories continue to swirl around his assassination 40 years later.
For years, John Larry Ray has tried to reveal what he says is an uncovered page in history about his older brother's role in the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. He always has contended James Earl Ray was a government "patsy," the fall guy for a sophisticated government plot.
In his book "Truth At Last," released today, Ray says his brother was caught in a web of hypnosis, brainwashing and government-backed mind-control programs that all began with the shooting of a black soldier in 1948.
As a military police officer in Germany, James Earl Ray was directed to shoot the soldier, only identified as Washington, who had been arrested for beating up Jews. Army records showed that prior to the incident, Ray had received two spinal taps, which John Larry suggests may have been part of a drug experiment.
That shooting, the book says, identified James Earl Ray as a programmable personality and would eventually thrust him into the center of the King assassination. (Ray initially confessed to shooting King, but recanted three days later.)
Upon his general discharge from the Army in 1948, James Earl Ray would spend the next 20 years falling deeper into the government network, first used as an undercover operative investigating Communists and eventually landing in and out of prisons, supposedly under the guidance of federal agents...

Paranoia aside, the question is still open as to why the FBI will not allow the alleged murder weapon to be tested to match the ballistics to the bullet retrieved from King.

In the end I don’t care anymore. The civil rights movement has been twisted by King supporters and democrats to prop up racism when it was the Republicans who pushed for it ( and still are ). When my kids come home every February with all the black history month junk they are given I spend days teaching real history and undermining the brain washing they receive at public school.

This is so stupid. What motive would the government have to kill King? If it was someone opposed to his work getting rid of him so late would have been pointless.
As for someone with a motive, Je$$e Jack$son was conveniently there to be photographed cradling the dying King....

this plot sounds a lot like the Bourne Conspiracy plot. Matt Damon is programmed to be a gov’t assassin. The lynchpin of his programming is when they get him to pull the trigger on some hooded guy in the CIA black ops lab, confirming that he is capable of being programmed.
This is silly. There is no Federal Gov’t.
I have a relative that did MP duty in West Germany after the war. I don't know if he was there in 1948, though.
I'll have to ask him next time I see him.

Thanks Perdogg. Ray used to say this line of BS himself; the woman who married him after he started his life sentence later said that it was obvious from what his own family (including the brother) said that JERay was the killer.

Professor Backwards was a frequent talk-show guest years ago - his shtick was that he could spell and pronounce any word thrown at him backwards without thinking about it first.
He was found murdered under mysterious circumstances several years ago, leading some commodian to say that nearby people did not come to his aid because they didn’t understand his cries of “Pleh! Pleh!)

It was probably of of Martin Luther King’s many girfriends, who shot him. He had a girlfriend in every city.
