"Fitna": by Geert Wilders

The film itself is well worth seeing. It isn't for the faint-hearted: footage includes some of the most barbaric acts committed by the jihadists. The film simply shows what the Koran says and then shows footage of certain Muslims carrying out those words to the letter. To this extent, anything which people find shocking in the film should be put at the doors of Mohammed and certain of his followers, not Wilder. I hope as many non-Islamists as possible see the film and consider its implications. But I also hope that the Islamists themselves are not so stupid as to fall into the oldest idiocy of theirs: that is the one which says "Say my religion is peaceful or I will kill you." The central thesis of "Fitna" is: the Koran commands Muslims to spread their faith throughout the entire world, by means of jihad and indoctrination. To show that some Muslims take these edicts literally, viewers are shown images of terror attacks in New York and Madrid. In the movie, you hear excerpts of sermons filled with hatred and Muslim crowds that cheer on the preachers. (YouTube)

In WWII we made fun of the enemy. I wonder if using comedy and humor might be a better approach?

Some one could make up a religion for the terrorists that looks something like Islam but not enough to be directly recognizable.

Then make fun of it as idiotic.

Like the Three Stooges did in making fun of Hitler.

Being of Dutch (and Danish) descent myself, it is sad to hear of the destruction of that once-great culture and beautiful country.

Welcome to America.

It will indeed be very interesting. In the wake of 9/11 alot of films and books on Islam have emerged but one of the first critiques of Mohammed I read was by Edward Gibbon who, in the last volume of “Decline and Fall...,” described Mohammed as an illiterate, epileptic and savage desert nomad - in Gibbon’s own inimitable and sardonic style, of course!

Exactly right. Native Europeans are simply not reproducing themselves. The only exception on the continent is Muslim Albania. The Euros are importing Muslims to maintain their national infrastructures until the EU Pension Fund collapses.

If I recollect correctly some of our major MSM outlets were afraid to publish those Danish cartoons. They all had the usual liberal PC party line excuses about not wanting to be divisive, etc., to cover their cowardice.

Islam is a religion of peace....and we’ll kill you, if you don’t believe it.

Would be interesting if someone were to do this here.

FReepers could do it. We could make something similar to this -using all of the data we could muster- and put out something downloadable or burnable on a DVD to be left at a gas station pump, or on the parked cars' windshield wiper blades at the local malls.

Did any religion’s bible or sutra ever preach the rights to condemn other religion? And do the almighty ever gave us man-kind the right to insult other’s religion.

Every issue of religion and culture are mostly sensitive. And when comes to sensitive, humility is an attitude you must have, seriously. This incident has reminded me of the Da Vince Code events which was, caused lots of controversies.
