This will only guarantee that McCain won't pick Romney. Remember, he's got to be the 'Maverick'.

If they didnt have:
- Mike Pence
- Marsha Blackburn
- Bobby Jindhal
- Gov Sanford
- Haley Barbour
- Bob Portman

on this list its a worthless poll. I checked and they have
Barbor and Portman but not the rest. Pity.

Any of the above would be acceptable to conservatives,
all of the above should be on the shortlist.

John Thune or Christopher Cox.

The others are all not ready yet or too liberal. Then again McCain is too...

LOL. You are so bad. I wish I’d thought of that.

Steal it and claim it for your very own. colorcountry doesn't care. I do it all the time.

That saying, "a penny saved is a penny earned"? That was mine.

We all should remember, (while we revere Romney, that is) these lasting words....

When dark clouds of trouble hang o’er us
And threaten our peace to destroy,
There is hope smiling brightly before us,
And we know that deliv’rance is nigh.
.....

The wicked who fight against Zion
Will surely be smitten at last.
......

Thus on to eternal perfection
The honest and faithful will go,
While they who reject this glad message
Shall never such happiness know.

Well, he does look “presidential” and have great hair, so he’d definitely get the Hair Club for Men vote.

Romney will never be Veep, and he'll never be President.

Bring on the viable picks.

Definitely not Thune. He made a production of voting against John Bolton. It was because of Ellsworth AFB, but that’s not a good reason.

And Cox needs to stay w/the SEC.

Did you ever hear the story about the chorister named Hope, back in the eighties in Idaho? She was due in two weeks. The congregation never made it to the third verse.

I will find it extremely difficult to muster any respect for anyone who agrees to take the VP slot here with McCain.

McCain-Romney. A hundred tons of extra ballast dumped on the deck of the Titantic.

Let’s tally up some of the things they could jointly take “credit” for:

Gay marriage.
Socialized medicine.
Taxpayer-funded abortions.
“Assault” weapons ban.
Homosexualized public schools.
A gutted First Amendment.
Amnesty for illegals.
Attempt to ban gun shows.
F from Gun Owners of America.
States’ rights trumps the unalienable right to life.
Embryonic stem cell experimentation.
Use of body parts from aborted babies for experimentation.
Taxpayer dollars to Planned Barrenhood.
The Law of the Sea Treaty.
Global warming cultist.
Cozy with leftists.
Despises conservatives.
In love with Euro-Socialists.
Funded by Soros.
Close Gitmo.

And that’s just off the top of my head.

This is what passes for “conservatism” in the new Republican Party.

The more McCain talks, the more I dislike the guy.

It gets worse every day.

I have voted republican in 7 presidential elections. I am sitting this one out. McCain is making me sick to my stomach.
