Obama's Talk Of Future Doesn't Extend To The Unborn

Obama's Talk Of Future Doesn't Extend To The Unborn posted April 3, 2008

After a few weeks of spinning, dodging, and weaving on the issue of his minister’s controversial comments, no doubt Sen. Barack Obama may have breathed a sigh of relief as the story began to fade. That’s when he made a few controversial remarks of his own.

Asked at a town hall meeting in Pennsylvania what he would do regarding the AIDS crisis, the senator remarked on the importance of teaching comprehensive sex education and abstinence. He then went on:

"The most important prevention is education, which should include...teaching the children... you know, that sex is not something casual... Look, I've got two daughters, nine-years-old and six-years-old. I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby. I don't want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn't make sense to not give them information [about contraception or abortion]."

His use of the word "punishment" to describe a baby has troubled some. For those who have been willing to look beyond his “smoothness” and acknowledged competence as a speaker, however, his remarks come as no startling new revelation. As columnist Terence Jeffrey says, “Obama is the most pro-abortion candidate ever.”

During his eight years in the Illinois legislature, Obama received a 100 percent rating from the Illinois Planned Parenthood Council for his support of abortion “rights.”

In the Illinois Senate, Obama stood alone in opposing the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, which would have guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection to babies who survive an abortion.

On the day of the vote, March 30, 2001, speaking from the floor, he opined that the bill placed an undue burden on doctors to keep a child alive. "We're probably crossing the line in terms of unconstitutionality," he said.

In 2003, Democrats took control of the Illinois Senate. As the new chairman of the Health and Human Services committee, to which the Born Alive Infants Protection Act was sent, Obama prevented it from even getting a hearing. His radical stance on the issue put him further left than even NARAL Pro-Choice America.

Thankfully, his concerns about the bill’s constitutionality were not shared at the federal level, as a near-identical bill was passed by the U.S. Congress. The vote in the U.S. Senate was unanimous, even garnering the support of Barbara Boxer, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy. President Bush signed it into law on August 5, 2002.

In February 2004, Michelle Obama circulated a fundraising letter stating her concern over the “rise of conservatism” in America, and arguing that that “so-called partial-birth abortion” was a legitimate medical procedure that should be protected.

Calling partial-birth abortion “a legitimate medical procedure,” she asked supporters to pony up $150 to attend a luncheon for the senator, promising he would fight the “cynical ploys” to stop it. When the Congress voted to ban this heinous practice, Obama was one of only five senators who voted against the measure. More recently, he voted against Sen. John Ensign's bill that aimed to encourage parental involvement in abortion decisions of minor children. The measure would have authorized government funds to enforce the laws that prevent taking minors across state lines for a secret abortion.

Polished as he seems on the surface, he seems particularly rough on the defenseless. Apparently all his talk of “hope” and “the future” doesn’t extend to the unborn.

Just maybe people are slowly realizing Obama is a classic leftist and all the "change" and "uniting" is to be done under the left wing agenda and the rest of us (most of us) be damned.

Anyone who reads Obama's speeches and record on abortion will see he is a staunch supporter and views any recognition of the unborn's humanity as dangerous to the cause of unlimited abortions.

“Michelle Obama circulated a fundraising letter stating her concern over the “rise of conservatism” in America...”

Personally, I think that Michelle has Barack under her complete control.

You guys give Obama too much credit. He doesn’t even advocate a futre of the born child, since he has no issues with slaughtering a born baby if the mother actually wanted to abort it.

Wonder how often every day Obama and the Missus tell their kiddies that Mommy and Daddy consider them a punishment from God for forgetting to use Protection?

So Obama is admitting he was a punishment for his mother?

This outrageous anti-life stance of B. Hussein’s doesn’t even register a blip on the MSM’s radar. Obama needs start answering for some of his positions on issues of significance...but who’s going to ask the questions?

Obama may consider himself a punishment that was doled out to his mother. If you look at the facts:
Obama was born Aug 4, 1961. This means if he was full term pregnancy, his mother became pregnant late Oct or early Nov 1960.
Obama’s mother would have been only 17 at the time, her birthday 29 Nov 1942.
Obama’s father was married with two children, he was at least 24 yrs old at the time.
There is no record of marriage for Obama’s mother and father, though his father did send a letter to Kenya saying he got married 6 months prior to Obama’s birth.

Obama knows this and it is sure to make him wonder. I wonder what the abortion policy was in Hawaii in 1960/61. Obama’s mother could not have known his father very long before she became pregnant.

Isn’t this reminiscent of Bill Clinton...mother a floozy and father killed in auto accident.

Actually a better caption would be “Babies are Punishment.” See how well that would play.

Obama is a very slick, smooth-talking guy when he has a carefully prepared speech and a teleprompter in front of him. He exudes a certain kind of smarmy warmth while smiling inanely and offering empty platitudes to his adoring fans.

When he speaks off-the-cuff, however, he reveals himself for what he is: an angry, socialist zealot with a huge chip on his shoulder, who couldn't give a damn about the life of an unborn baby.

Pardon my language.

If Obama and his wife are without sanctity for the unborn (and indeed the born - as in killing through partial-birth abortion), why should anyone who is not a fool believe that they would have concern and sanctity for the lives of 300 million U.S. citizens under Obama’s power as President and Commander in Chief?

The Obama adherents sing that he finally is a person to represent the minorities in this nation and the voiceless to now.

But Obama has obviously shown nothing but cold disdain for the very least of us - the unborn and defenseless. They are the ones who are truly voiceless. They are a creation of the Lord Almighty; and they reflect Him in their beauty and innocence.

That is a disdain that goes to the very core of everything - and assuredly of Obama.

It is an arrogance of tyrants and mass murderers - that they, the anointed, have the power of life and death over all and everyone. Obama has more than a whiff of this about him.
