America's Fifth Column - Aiding and Abetting Our Enemies

America has a growing enemy within. This enemy is referred to by experts as America’s Fifth Column. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, the term Fifth Column refers to “A clandestine group or faction of subversive agents who attempt to undermine a nation’s solidarity [unity] by any means at their disposal.”

As Britannica notes, the term is credited to Emilio Mola Vidal, a Nationalist general during the Spanish Civil War (1936–39). As four of his army columns moved on Madrid, the general referred to his militant supporters within the capital as his “fifth column,” intent on undermining the loyalist government from within.

Does such a group of subversive agents’ intent upon undermining American unity actually exist today? If they do, who are they, what are their methods and what is their goal?

Who is the American Fifth Column?

In short, members of the American fifth column can be identified by their open or disguised opposition to pro-American policies, principles or values. Agents of the fifth column can always be identified as those working to “undermine a nation’s solidarity [unity].”

Schools! Are the most effective means available to the the Liberal/Marxists whose goal is to destroy freedom!

Marxism is our nation's MOST serious threat. Government K-12 schools and our colleges and universities are their most important weapon.

We can survive a nuclear suitcase bomb. Freedom will not survive if our Marxist dominated schools succeed in indoctrinating the next generation of voters.

By the way, I am disgusted with the Three Stooges ( Rush, Sean, and OReilly)! They rarely use the words that fit: MARXISM!, COMMUNISM! Freedom is being undermined by Marxists and they continue to use the words “liberal, leftist, and socialist”. How can we win this philosophical civil war if we don't identify the enemy????? Huh?

This month's issue of the “Limbaugh Letter” has on the front page the headline, “Stop Accepting Liberal Premises”. What???? Liberal??? I nearly threw up! We are not fighting liberals. Call them what they are! MARXISTS! COMMUNISTS!

Why did you overlook our SCHOOLS??? ( Yes, I am shouting!) Why is that conservatives are so unaware of the damage being done in our government K-12 schools and our colleges and universities?

I agree with you Winterime, and it's maddening to me also. It was a terrible mistake to think that the threat of Marxism ended when the Soviet Union collapsed. I also am frustrated that so few seem to realize what an evil organization the NEA is, and what destruction they have wreaked on this county by having changed our public schools into political indoctrination pens. Jimmy Carter effectively gave them a cabinet post when he created the Dept. of Education and they now wield almost total control over Public Education in our country.

The “fifth column” also include those who promote the idea of a North American Union (where the US would be the loser) and who are against keeping illegal aliens out. It’s not difficult to realize who these Repubs and Dhimmies are.

If Al-Qaeda had any smarts, they would just stand by at a distance and watch Americans destroy their country. They can then walk in without a fight while the true patriots are overseas defending a country that has become only a dim reflection of what its Founding Fathers had envisioned.

Don't even get me started in on government schools. I cannot believe the utter lack of knowledge on the part of parents as they cart their kids off to government schools without a thought, then go into debt to send them to the high levels of socialist indoctrination called universities, to become indentured servants in the chattering classes. This makes sense? Doesn't their historical, verbal, and literary ignorance go unnoticed by their parents?

A lot of nice people I know, with children, have NO CLUE about what their kids are exposed to. I end up biting my tongue, since I am not "holier than thou," but I ain't sending my progeny into mindless training for service of the elites.

I honestly feel that freedom is in grave danger and conservatives are cooking like frogs in a pot of slowly warming water!

What **really** steams me are that the three men most able to wake up the slowly cooking conservatives are Rush, Sean, and OReilly.

First, they are NOT educating their audience as to what the REAL enemy is: MARXISM! They could be doing sooooo much if they would use their influence to correctly identify what it is that drives America's deterioration. Marxism!

I think Rush's “Limbaugh Letter” had me completely steamed! I am exasperated! The front page headline is “ Stop Liberal Premises”. Wow! Gee! If Rush doesn't get it, ( and this headline indicates that he doesn't) we as a nation are LOST! That's for certain.

Personally, I think that Rush, Sean, and OReilly are afraid that people will call them “name-callers” if their use the work Marxist.

As for schools, thankfully Rush is now taking daily pot shots at our government schools! Good for him. However, Rush, Sean, and OReilly don't go far enough. It is NOT enough to merely report the government school nuttiness. They need to go one step further. They need to tell their audiences to get their kids out, and to elect official that will shut these indoctrination centers down!

I doubt Rush, Sean, and OReilly will ever go so far as to tell their listeners to get their kids out of the government schools. Why? Answer: Because too many of their listers are utterly addicted to the free babysitting, and/or earn their living directly or indirectly from the government schools.

Personally I think Rush, Sean, and OReilly are smart men who **know** the score but are too timid to do what needs to be done. What a bunch of weenies!

While I certainly agree that the word "liberal" is the most misused word in the modern lexicon (modern American leftists are anything but liberal), and I would prefer conservatives in the media like Rush to use "leftist" rather than "liberal," there's no question that the use of "Marxist" however aptly would leave them open to a political onslaught that they couldn't recover from. To Rushes credit (I only listen to him and Glenn Beck these days), I've heard him use the term "Stalinist" a lot lately. Glenn Beck come to think of it is pretty unabashed in pointing out the creeping socialism in our country these days, and regulary begins items by shouting "Comrades" and playing the Soviet National Anthem.

All said, Talk show hosts are not going to undo the ravages of the NEA, and pop-culture. There are legions of throughly brainwashed young people leaving our public education systems who while not being able to read or write at level that is common to a slum in Cameroon, can lecture you for hours without a comma about Slavery, Queer Theory, Global Warming and the vileness of patriarchal oppression.

Americans are slow to catch on... This has been happening for more than 40 years now. Turns out McCarthy was right.

I agree with everything except the time span. It's more like 70 years since America was infiltrated with Fifth Columnists dedicated to destroy her. Anyone who points out the elephant in the parlor risks being labeled "paranoid." But the historical record is absolutely clear.
