An upcoming joint US-Israel report on the September 6 IAF strike on a Syrian facility will claim that former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein transferred weapons of mass destruction to the country, Channel 2 stated Monday.
Furthermore, according to a report leaked to the TV channel, Syria has arrested 10 intelligence officials following the assassination of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh.
There’s another issue: the CIA itself.
If you were an Israeli, and knew the whole story, the last outfit in the world you would want to share the information with would be the CIA. They have been at war with the Administration and have a reputation for leaking to the Press.
I would not be surprised if CIA were completely frozen out of the whole Syrian operation at Israeli insistence.
“How such an important event could have remained hidden for so long is a mystery to me.”
If you stop and begin to slowly think through and look back at what has occured, it begins to become clear that there is a lot of stuff going on with Russia and the help they gave to Iraq and Hussein. Very little of this has become public.
There is NO DOUBT that Iraq moved a great deal of WMD material to Syria. WHY DID PRESIDENT BUSH NOT PUBLICLY PURSUE THIS?
Think about it. He was being crucified in the media. WOrld opinion was rapidly turning against us. Why not expose this and garner some good publicity?
There HAD to be other factors at play. The biggest thing I can think of is Russia and their involvement.
Maybe you’re right. The CIA has had a history of selective leaking. I know this for sure.
This nation continues to trust Russia at our peril, IMO.
FNC hasn’t taken any interest in this story.
Thanks.

Exact numbers of RJs are classified but I’ve worked on most of them.
The RJ was a creature of comfort compared to the EC-130 Compass Call.
But I’d sure like that in-flight service we were supposed to have. All we had were Ravens.
Have you read Kenneth Timmerman’s new book :’Shadow Warriors’? If not, please put it on your must read list!
Did you see this?
No and thanks for the ping. Have to ping Gunther.
Syria has its own chemical weapons production facilites. It has had them for years.

Yes, and there are still WMD’s in Iraq. That mass murderer couldn’t let all of ‘em leave Iraq.

One of the most frustrating things about President Bush, is that he has proven to be a very ineffective communicator, in the White House. This is particularly bothersome, because the Preseident can employ a team of expert communicators to do most of it for him, and the best he was able to do was employ Tony Snow.

The Missing WMDs is certainly a mystery.
I think the American public are tired of the “Bush Lied, People Died” garbage.
Time to put a new record on!
Our military did have survellince
over Iraq 24/7. I’m sure they know more about what happen to the WMDs but currently keeping quiet.
I think the Bush Administration kept quite about the WMD because of real security concerns. If I remember right many Iraqi scientist were assassinated when they started to talk to Dr. Kay. The ISG team were nearly assissinated too. The ISG never really completed their job because of the insurgency.
Another factor, ISG are all civilians. They had to wait for the military to make things secure. They were not able to defend themselves.
ISG were late coming into the scene.
Could it be possible 75th Exploitation Task Force got there first and moved the WMDs out of harms way?
Remember the stink by the left over the unguarded uranium stockpiles?
Our military did airlift two tons of the stuff out of Iraq. What else did they airlifted out?

Could the British found the WMDs and moved them...how about the Polish? Didn’t the Polish sent a special division specializing in CW?

I also thought it would be better for the Coalition Forces to say they couldn’t find the WMD. This would prevent AQI from using them and to give Bush creditability.
Just a thought.
Putting it on my reading list.....thanks .
I recall it was this week?
Thanks!
