An upcoming joint US-Israel report on the September 6 IAF strike on a Syrian facility will claim that former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein transferred weapons of mass destruction to the country, Channel 2 stated Monday.
Furthermore, according to a report leaked to the TV channel, Syria has arrested 10 intelligence officials following the assassination of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh.
This could be big.
Yes, but we’ve squandered all that good will! /sarc

And Minot.
I've been waiting for this story to become the legitimate narrative, the blueprint of what we're all doing in the ME.
Now we'll finally know.
Exactly: EVERY foreign intelligence service KNOWS that Hussein had WMDs... only question was where???
I, and many others, based on information from often-reliable sources, stated over and over: SYRIA.
I have continued over the years to say SYRIA when I’ve gotten into discussions with libidiots. If this report actually comes out and serves to verify that Syria had WMDs at this site, I am going to have to go back to several dozen people and do some MAJOR CROWING! If it doesn’t, I’ll still believe that to be the case, but ...
Please let this be true!!!
Sources say that when the Israelis gave their evidence to the US, it was extremely convincing... I hope this report goes further than that.
The nuclear stuff went to Libya several years before the BASH*. Basically, Hussein farmed that out to Libya... but kept the Chem/Bio program in house.
*BASH == Battle Against Saddam Hussein
“I would argue it is more valuable now. If true, it will destroy the whole Democrat rationale for doing nothing for the past 4 years except try to destroy Bush.”
Youre right. I disagree with all the pessimism and sarcasm. We should go on speaking the truth as much as possible, its the only real weapon against the leftist lies.
Good point... I don’t remember seeing that “inside help” before.
HUGH and SERIES!
Definitely HUGH and SERIES!
I strongly believe that Bush, et.al, knew much more about the WMDs than the public does. Why? Possible diplomatic pressures, etc, I would guess. I don’t like the lack of OUR propaganda machine using this, but I’m no diplomat. One thing is clear: President Bush couldn’t care less about what the polls say about him, so he doesn’t believe he needs to use information to pump up “I was right” stuff.
There actually have been several translated documents, and interviews, that have stated that WMDs were transferred to Syria. In addition, as far as I know, the US never denied the numerous reports and pieces of intelligence suggesting that WMDs had been transferred to Syria. It is likely that the US simply made the decision to refrain from saying “we know where they are” until we could do something about it definitively.
Let’s see what this report says. Possibly, this is the definitive statement.
!100! % agreement with you!!!
I believe that President Bush, and his whole administration, knew about this for a long time, but simply didn’t want to reveal to people publicly that we had this intelligence. I honestly believe that President Bush doesn’t care at all what the public polling says, and only cares to do what he thinks is best for the country.
See my post#92
It will be definitive, and let’s hope the NIE just chokes on it.
Chokes, strangles.
I hope there is documented visual proof and audio corraboration of WMD existance. That would make me happy.
I on the trust but verify train.
There will be NO “visual proof and audio corraboration”.
I guarantee that you would not be capable of understanding the data, the evidence, that has been gathered. Like it or not, you’re going to have to accept that experts know what they’re talking about when they say, “this squiggly line means...” and “this IR signature means ...”
No way that it is even possible that the best evidence can be “visual proof and audio corraboration”
Agreed. Say what you want about President Bush, but no one can accuse him of bending to popular opinion.
Bush cannot care what anyone thinks. They had to pry the dni letter out of his admin (550 Mustard and Sarin Shells).
