Girls Record Brutal Attack On Teen To Allegedly Post On YouTube

POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- Video was released late Monday afternoon showing a brutal beating at the hands of a gang of teenage girls. Their motivation for the attack was apparently so they could post the video on YouTube.

The victim reported the attack after she was beaten so badly she had to be treated at the hospital. That's when the sheriff's office started looking into it and learned about the video.

The sheriff calls it shocking, saying he's never seen anything like it. It was a vicious attack all captured on home video inside a Polk County home.

This is what happens when Mom and Dad don't know what their kids are up to. Frankly this is a situation where corporal punishment should be administered to the perps. A nice juvenile detention center beat down would be in order.

Kind of glad to notice that the Sheriff isn’t letting juvenile justice system concerns hide their identities. He provided pictures of them all; from 18 down to 14 years old.

Their funny ha! ha! mugging video will be pulled from My Space and YouTube in short order. Of course, at least one copy will be preserved - as evidence for their trials.

But these booking pictures are forever.

Agree but that begs the larger question - How has Society let the media and it's Marketing Acolytes gain such power over it such that this 'Trash' is an accepted, normal state of being? The cool thing about revenge is that she has a lifetime to make it happen. With a bit of creativity, that's plenty of time for each of them to have reason to be looking over their shoulder, fearing that odd sound in the night, wondering if they can start their car, take a bite of that french fry.

So, while I favor the teens being beaten lifeless option, I first would opt for hiring the most cunning and devious lawyer to go after each girl and her family. There must be more than a few options available to bankrupt them and trash their next few years.

Amen. The parents that produced these societal gems should be held accountable. Not only should the taxpayers be reimbursed for every dime spent on their prosecution and incarceration, but the girl that was beaten should receive damages. Normally I am not enamored with the sue-happy approach, but I really believe that a whopping judgment will be the only thing to get the parents of these little monsters to take notice. One of the parents has already commented on the situation, and of course it was to point out that the recipient of the mass beating said bad things about the others on FaceBook. Yeah, that's a reason for a bunch of teens to turn into a pack of rabid dogs.

Instead, it's the sheriff's office that ended up releasing it to the media and now all eight suspects accused of making it happen are charged with very serious crimes. All suspects face charges for false imprisonment and battery. Three of them were charged with kidnapping because, the sheriff's office said, they forced Lindsay into a car and drove her to another location after the beating.

I was wondering if they were going to get charged with kidnapping. When the girl tried to leave and the main thug kept the door closed I thought, "Bingo. Kidnapping." But then taking her against her will to another location really was the icing on the cake. In a way it was good in the long run that it wasn't just the beating one can see in the video but a flat-out, no mistaking it kidnapping, so that these thugs see some serious punishment.

A friend of mine once told me that a group of kids gathered to watch some girl kick her butt when she was 15. She just pulled the girls top up over her head. It embarrassed the girl and the boys who had gathered loved it. She got away and no one messed with her anymore.

One girl who did the majority of the beating on film and who blocked the door, there should be a special punishment reserved for that “female dog in heat” to say it nicely and not to insult dogs. Yes, the parents ARE trash, or worse. One mother has been publicly defending her daughter, saying that the victim deserves to “share the blame” for talking bad about her daughter on myspace and that the story is overblown. Nothing warrents this kind of barbaric assault and kidnapping. I think the mother should “share the blame” for not properly restraining the dangerous animal that she raised.
