A school board in Arizona has decided that condoms are among the items that should be given to students attending this year's prom.

The school board in the Bisbee District voted 4-1 at a recent meeting to include the condoms in a "prom bag" that will be given to prom-goers this year.

A spokeswoman in the office of Supt. Paul McDonald confirmed the condoms would be handed out to the event celebrants, along with other items such as picture frames, balloons and candy.

"The governing board approved [this]," she told WND. "They are to have what they call prom bags, which include picture frames and balloons and candy and other items. They requested from the health department if they could put a condom in the bag also."

Wonder if they'll have the prom theme printed on them ... or maybe the school mascot.

when you're an animal, this is actually a pretty enlightened thing to do.

I had to edit my post three times, each time I toned it down by factors of billions. Finally I settled on the most charitable response I could think of.

The school board in the Bisbee District voted 4-1

Four people made this decision for all the parents in the district?

That's not a "board," that's a "School Sex Promotion Committee."

Obviously the public school system is a tool of the marxists who want to destroy the family and block any influence of parents on children’s values.

Hell, if they’re going to go that far to encourage sex, why don’t they buy them all hotel rooms, or put roll-in bed in the gym?

Geez, around here they’re just trying to convince them not to drink and drive on prom night.

How about holding the prom at a private club and serve them alcohol too? After all, they can practice safe drinking if it is all done in one location...

The logic just somehow doesn’t follow, does it?!

Attention, Liberal Parents. I speak to you today about one of the fastest growing problems facing our children, and how YOU can help.

Boys will be boys…you know what I mean. They are going to get into things we would rather they avoid, but you know boys. They can’t be expected to make good decisions and to avoid trouble. So I am sure you will agree, the best thing is to be responsible, and to make sure they are prepared. I know that if we all get behind this, we can develop a program to help make sure that when the teen years arrive, your kids are ready.

I speak of course, of firearms.

Boys naturally want to play with guns. I mean, how can you reasonably expect to warn them, to say “You aren’t ready for this, so just don’t!” As parents, we just don’t have that kind of power. So the next best thing is to make sure they are careful!

Beginning this week, Liberal parents, all your sons and daughters are going to be taught to handle high powered weapons in school, where they should be learning about it, rather than on the street corner. You won’t have to sign any annoying forms, because the State has decided this is a Good Thing, and we won’t be asking you for input because what you want isn’t important.

Gun Education: Protecting Our Children from YOU.

Just ask those 4 which of the girls at the Prom are their daughters.

They'll overturn it in a second.

I wonder if the Navy still has a basket of them for whenever a ship goes into a foreign port? How much ya wanna bet they do?

Obviously, the Navy is “a tool of the marxists who want to destroy the family and block any influence of parents on children’s values.”

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. If you want on/off either list, please freepmail me and let me know which list it is that you want to be put on or taken off of.

Another Reason to Homeschool.

Gee! Is this the wonderful “socialization” that homeschoolers are missing?

Of course the Navy still has a basket of condoms. In Korea, all US military police personnel carry a pocket of condoms while patrolling the local ‘ville.

You can always count on someone not to disappoint.

No matter what the topic, someone will come on defending immoral or illegal behavior.

Keep these school board members away from children! (You’d think the district’s liability insurer would stop this sort of thing, or cancel their policy.)

Au contraire! I was not “defending immoral or illegal behavior.”

It was rather obvious that I was lampooning overdone rhetoric.

At least I thought so.

I remember catching a talk show piece while waiting in the drs office about the time the flack came up about handing out birth control pills to jr high age girls through the school, without the parents permission.

Even the talk show hosts were opposed to it, and then they decided to have a show of hands in the audience of those who thought this was a good idea. One couple raised their hands. Then the talk show host asked if they had kids. The answer, predictably, was NO.

Interesting how those without a vested interest in the future of our country are so willing to destroy it.
