None of the above.
Since my clothespin and I were going to vote for McCain anyway...
I’m voting for him anyway. And she’s not gonna take the spot. I just wonder who he’s picking.
Since I’m not voting for Democrats, with or without her, no change. I guess less is more my vote, if that is possible.
Of course no Dems are going to vote “More” - for obvious reasons.
Which Condi Rice? The former National Security Advisor, or the pod-person who runs the State Department?
McCain for VP is even a stretch for me.
That’s what I would think — but the numbers swing towards less, which is how I voted
HELLO MCCAIN STRATEGISTS - THIS THREAD IS FOR ***YOU***
The chances would go from zero to zero.
lol
I’m not voting for McCain regardless of who he picks to be his stooge - so I guess ‘none’ would be the answer.
and no offense to Ms Condi....I love her and respect her...but she has had her chance to shine and sadly, she hasn't really made a name for herself....she was saddled with George, afterall.....
we need someone a little more outspoken and one who can take on the miserable MSM...
LESS
“Would Condoleezza Rice as VP make you more or less likely to back Sen. John McCain for president?”
I’m already NOT voting for it, adding that pro-Pali to the ticket does nothing to change that.
Consider the source.
Most CNN.com voters wouldn’t vote for any Republican under any circumstances. What else are they supposed to vote given the choices?
If he picks her I will throw up a little in my mouth.
fyi
I’d oppose Condi because she’s pro-abortion.
But I think I know her well enough to know that she would not respond favorably to the question: “Would you like to be my black running-mate against Obama?” Which is what such a request would mean.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
Senator John McCain could never convince me to vote for him. Only Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama can cause me to vote for him.
Thomas Sowell
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Condi Rice would be an awesome addition to the ticket.”
nikos
In that case wouldn’t they be happy to promote the pro-abortion, anti-2nd Amendment, pro-Pali Condi?
She’s the perfect Democratic dream candidate ...
Of course, McCain is too, in many ways ...
HEY MCCAIN - PICK A CONSERVATIVE - HELP YOURSELF — AND US
Yep -— I hope he isn’t THAT stupid ...
*sigh*

I agree whole-heartedly with you. And yeah, I like Condi a lot. She is a CLASS ACT. I just don't think campaigning would be something she would do particularly well. Just not her thing. Qualified? You bet.
I don’t vote for liberals, regardless of whom they’ve tapped as their running mates.
They wouldn’t promote John F. Kennedy if he had an R behind his name.
I like her a lot better than I like him.
Compared to who?
This is that Andy PR guy from the WH who’s trolling this trial balloon around, like he did here on FR a few months ago and yes, I’d do ANYTHING to get her out of State.
It certainly would.
YES! You go Mrs William Jefferson Blythe Clinton! Bring Roger around for fun and games.
Also, I figure any 'Rat that votes in this poll is going to vote 'against' Condoleezza in acknowledgment of what I posted above.
Don't read my wishing any particular thing happening into that - there are all kinds of possibilities - but Condi is not a part of the equation. Whether or not the party is running a Republican is the variable that will affect the likelihood (or not) that I will vote for it's nominee.
Who is running this thing? It's about as bollixed up as it can get right now, I think (and by bollixed I mean a completely different word).
Anti 2nd Amendment too? No matter, I won't ever vote for McCain.
I hear that McCain has already decided on his VEEP choice. The name is not going to be revealed until the GOP Convention. But, it was leaked that it is a Black woman with a Hispanic surname of Jewish Faith living in New Jersey whose husband is a member of the Christian Coalition and a relative of James Dobson.
That would be - less likely. She brings nothing to the ticket. I am not impressed with her performance. Also her strengths are supposed to be in foreign policy. Aren’t those the same strengths as McCain? He needs someone who knows economics and populist domestic issues.
BUT, after the MSM gets through with him during a first term, he'll be desperate for our votes to get him elected to a second term.
And we won't be there.
Less. And he’s already a major nose-holder for me.
I wonder if a McCain-Rice ticket would be a worse case scenario for the Democrats? When you are playing identity politics like the Democrats want to do, she would be like moving in the Queen for the checkmate.
Nothing would bring me more glee than to see the Democrats crash and burn next November.
I do not see a second term for McCain. I do see McCain as a way to pull the Republican Party out of the pit that Bush has allowed the media to dig for him. McCain, with his Maverick image is a way to separate the Republican Party from the pits of the Bush image. Whoever is his running mate will be the designated candidate for President in 2012. The four years as Vice President will be years in training for the big chair.
I predict Mitt Romney as the Democrats push the economic buttons.
How does an inactive person in office garner much attention of ANY sort in the voting process?
Quite frankly given the choice, it doesn’t matter to me.
Now, if I was given the choice of Schartzkoff or Keyes, I’d speculate that would probably be THE most safe president EVER on the face of the planet.
Would that change my vote? How ‘bout I be given that option and I’ll tell you.
No. Why not Michael Steele or that rep. from Texas whose name I always forget.
No way. I know Condi personally and she would be far more competent than anybody who ran this time around. But you add VP candidates to win votes. Condi would not split the black vote as they will all be voting for Obama no matter what.
McCain needs to add someone who can win him an important state, and who is reasonably young (given his age). Florida is already in the bag. Romney might pull Mass but that’s a very blue state (might help with Michigan too but the economy is pretty bad there).
Probably a governor or former Governor. Voinovich might help with the critical state of Ohio. Unfortunately not too many choices from swing states like Missouri and Pennsylvania.
I wonder if Michelle Obama would have her second encounter with a proud American feeling if Condi does run. I mean, after all, she is black and a woman. THAT should swell Michelle’s heart with pure pride. Doncha think? LOL
IT’S CNN SO IT IS NOT BELIEVABLE
Ditto that!
I’ll vote for anyone against the Dems.. But i do see an advantage to Condoleezza, and that’s that she’s A:Black, and B: A Woman.. Practically the only reasons the democrats are voting for their candidates. Besides ending the war, those cowards want “change”-and an African American Woman as VP would be a slap in the face of the “change” the Dems so desires.
The Mc Candidate will not get my vote. I’m not pokin fun at anyone with Mc preceding their last name, but for Mccain, yeah. He is definitely a chain sponsored candidate. But just think of the possibilities: In some states, where it hasn’t been banned, you can super size your McPresident. You can opt for shakes (guaranteed we will get that), Frys - Got that from him already. I will forgo the special sauce, please! (Clinton). Definitely a cookie cutter populist president. Wait, the majority of the people want a conservative Pres with the spine to address illegal immigration. So I guess that makes him not a populist, but a non- conservative.
