Elton John: Sexism to blame for Clinton's lag in polls
Newsday.com ^ | 10 Apr 08 | Glenn Thrush

Posted on 04/10/2008 7:33:05 AM PDT by seanmerc

A bitter Sir Elton John thinks America's sexism may be sinking his friend Hillary Rodham Clinton.

John, a knighted British subject, said that gender discrimination is behind Clinton's problems in the polls as he addressed 5,000 Clinton supporters at Radio City Musical Hall last night in an event that raised $2.5 million for the cash-strapped campaign.

"I never cease to be amazed by the misogynistic attitudes of some people in this country," said John, wearing a spangled black evening coat over a vermilion silk shirt. "I say to hell with them. ... I love you, Hillary, I'll always be there for you."

John's comments echo the former first lady's remarks to National Public Radio Tuesday, when she said there was "a double standard" in media coverage of the race.

Minutes before Elton John took the stage, Bill Clinton struck an equally defiant tone, chiding TV commentators who are counting out his wife because she trails Barack Obama in delegates and the popular vote.

Sorry Sir Elton, she’s losing because she’s a pathologically lying harpy.

So the fagot is making up excuses for Hitlery?

The fact is that is has nothing to do with “sexism”.

It has everything to do with not being the right person for the job. Margaret Thatcher, Condi Rice and others have blasted through the “glass ceiling” because they were COMPETENT and BRIGHT. Hitlery lacks both those attributes.

The Democrats have effectively painted themselves into a corner:
Sexist if you vote for Obama.
Racist if you vote for Clinton.

Slippery slope.

How would he know? He doesn’t even know which gender he is.

mi·sog·y·ny [mi-soj-uh-nee, mahy-]
–noun
hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women.

Putting this in context, what exactly is Elton John’s point?

This is CLASSIC liberal hypocrisy. Back when Margaret Thatcher first came to power in 1979, and for the next decade, commie liberal scum like Elton John and others RIPPED her up, down, left, and center. Was it because they were sexists? No, it was because they opposed her ideologically. Typical liberal hypocrisy.

I would resepect Mr John’s (hell with “Sir”...the UK’s gone loony) opinions on pop music. As for his opinnion on US politics, I respect them about as much as I respect Algore’s opinions on science. Funny thing, tough, at least Elton has one thing that he does well. Would that I could say the same for Gore.

What a pity.

Rush and the Operation Chaos operatives in Pennsylvania are doing all this hard work to prop Hillary up so she and Obama and pummel each other and then EJ swishes over here and poisons the pot to alienate potential voters.

Elton John:

“Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher, we celebrate today ‘cos it’s one day closer to your death”, the cast sing. Four times in a row. While wearing Maggie masks.

******

John’s decision to record his own rendition of “Merry Christmas Maggie Thatcher,” the miners’ sarcastic holiday song, in which they celebrate Christmas only because it brings the hated prime minister one day closer to her death. This must be the most politically charged song John has ever recorded

Luckily for Hillary Clinton, once a foreign fop rudely rebukes Americans for not voting for a candidate, that candidate usually surges in the polls.

Has Elton John figured out which sex he is yet?

Elton John announced he was a bisexual in 1976, and in 1984, he married Renate Blauel. The marriage lasted four years before he finally came to terms with the fact that he was actually homosexual. In the 1970s and 1980s, he suffered from drug and alcohol addiction and bulimia

Changed his name legally to Elton Hercules John. He chose the middle name “Hercules” not after the hero of mythology, but after the horse named Hercules on the British sitcom “Steptoe and Son” (1962).

Quite a few of the people who dislike Hillary are theselves women. Are they "misogynistic" too? Well, perhaps this is just an example of the "Queen's" English. ;-)

Are we talking about the same Elton John who housed pedophile Michael Jackson when Jackson was hidden for a time from the public eye?

Are we talking about the same Elton John who’s publicist quit immediately after Elton made uncomfortable suggestions about the publicist’s young son?

A stigma is attached to troubled Reggie “Elton” Dwight for very good reason.

Elton wants the Bitch to be back.
We don’t want the Clintons back.
And WE’re the ones stone cold sober
as a matter of fact.

When the Guardian had its readers send letters to the residents of a pivotal Ohio county imploring (or hectoring...) then to vote against GWB, the outrage was so immense and so vocal even that rag was stunned. Americans HATE having foreigners attempt to interfere with internal US affairs, and they HATE being lectured by them, too. If Elton John is a closet HRC hater, he could not have said or done anything likely to hurt her worse.
