I will personally be glad when I no longer see Terri Schiavo threads on Free Republic. The issues surrounding this poor woman’s death have been debated ad nauseum. There is nothing left to be gained. Those who believe that it was appropriate to let her pass will never be convinced otherwise. Likewise for those who consider the removal of life support akin to murder. It’s time to let this woman rest in peace.

TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR Lauren Richardson of Delaware.

If you want to show your support for her life (which she's living right now and breathing and everything),

What is decent about harming people in wheelchairs?

Please private freepmail floriduh voter.

I guess the fact that the culture of death is still doing it doesn't bother you?

The irony is, I'm not aware of a SINGLE pro-life conservative who thinks we should just "move on."

You don’t seem to get the point. It’s Terri’s Legacy which is a mission to protect other disabled people. You don’t have to even read Terri threads because I have news for you. There will always be Terri threads at Free Republic as long as judges have the authority to kill disabled people who didn’t want to be starved and dehydrated to death. Terri was only 41. She had a right to live as much as you do.

Randall Terry succeeded in 2003.

The death care system succeeded in 2005.

I am not sure she suffered.

My Dad refused all food and water when he learned that Mother had died.

If he showed any pain or suffering, I could not tell it.

I visited him until 10:00PM during which time we went over old photos. The next morning he was dead.

The evil in Terri Schiavo’s case was that the courts would not allow her family to take care of her as they desired.

Of course it was evil to kill a living person, but I doubt that she felt any pain.

Her family felt pain and plenty of it.

The court was evil. Her ex is evil beyond words.

If we do not wish to lose our freedom, we must learn to tolerate our
neighbor’s right to freedom even though he might express that freedom
in a manner we consider to be eccentric.

Jeb Bush was walking near a lake. He suddenly hears someone yelling and turns to see a child in the lake. The child is drowning. The child is yelling for help. People on the other side of lake can't get to the child and they yell for Bush to help.

Bush does nothing. The child goes under once, then again and then diasppears under the water. Bush stands there.

The people that were on the other side of the lake have made their way around the lake and run up to Bush. They ask "why didn't you help that child? He died!"

Bush looks at the people then points to a sign next to the lake. The sign says "No Swimming". Bush looks at the crowd who is mostly in tears and says "I could not break the law!"

“Installing Randal Terry to be your personal spokesperson is counter productive at best.. or disturbing and twisted.”

Why do you say that?

One thing that did come from this atleast for my family is we all sat down together and told each other how we wanted things to be if it were us in Terri’s position. I’m satisfied that with as many people in the room 2 being my sister’s that my wishes would be carried out and no one can arbitrarily kill me.

I disagree. Her life on earth is ended, but she is spending eternity in Heaven in the presence of Jesus. Her new heavenly body is perfect, unlike the one she left here on earth.

Oh, Terri felt pain. She also felt feverish because part of the exit protocol is to put the victim in tons of blankets so that all the fluids left in their body is sweated out. She didn't even have an ice cube to suck on for two weeks. The exit protocol is barbaric. When a person is not terminally ill, their reaction to no nutrition or hydration would be just like ours.

Your dad unfortunately chose that route and how do you know if he felt pain or not? Sorry you lost your parents but we aren't talking about deciding to deprive one's self. Terri suffered. It was barbaric. She was terrified because this was their 3rd or 4th try. She'd been denied basic needs before.

And for his loyalty to the party, Jeb Bush’s name is now mud by any and all lakes.

I remember this, and some of their names, very well.
It was gruesome....opened my eyes to the culture of death like nothing else.

I say Terry took advantage of a grieving family....because he’s an opportunist.

Helen Valois writes about Terri's 2005 Vigil. This is a good summary you'll relate to.

(I was too exhausted to cry but those who wept had every reason to. What happened to Terri was an abomination.)

They contacted him in 2005, guenevere. I'm no defender of Randall Terry but it didn't benefit him when Terri was finally murdered by the courts and hospice. By that time, he'd already gone home. There was nothing anyone could do when Judge Whittemore defied congress and the POTUS but they just let her continue to starve and dehydrate instead of enforcing their instructions to J. Whittemore. The GOP played a large role in Terri's murder. Talk about political gamesmanship. It benefited Michael Schiavo, the aclu and all the death worshippers, rinos included.

I have been there.

Your post tells me tha you have not.

I believe that if we are to learn anything from this, that it is necessary that comments should be factual and hysterical rants.

Based on the autopsy report, it is doubtful that she has the mental capacity to be terrified.

That does not relieve the jude or her ex husband from the judgment that they are the ultimate low life.

I simply say that facts will bring change. Hysterical rants will not.
