WASHINGTON: A legislation targeting India and seven other countries which allegedly refuse to take back illegal immigrants convicted of crimes in the United States has been introduced in the House of Representatives.
The bill requires reports being sent to Congress every 90 days on the countries which inhibit repatriation that will automatically trigger denial of foreign aid as well as suspension of visa issuances to them.
The bill, a companion to the Accountability in Immigrant Repatriation (AIR) Act of 2008 introduced last month in the US Senate, was introduced by Congressmen Charlie Dent and Michael Castle.

It would seem to me that if we immediately stop issuing visas to people from the offending countries we would see them quickly begin taking back their illegal law breakers.

I’d be okay with amnestying the Indian illegals if we’ll get rid of all the Mexican illegals.
They need to add Mexico to this group as they are already screaming that they can’t afford to take them back right now.
Hmmm, I don’t want anyone’s criminal illegals (don’t want any illegal aliens at all, but especially don’t want those convicted of another crime).

Insane. They should take back all illegal aliens. By def. any illegal alien has broken a crime. We are not a garbage heap for them to dump their criminals. The nerve of them to force us to keep their criminals.
No illegal, whether they are here on expired visa or if they sneaked across the border should be here. If they don't respect our laws enough to come here within the established framework, they will have no respect for the rest of our laws.
Criminal behavior must never be tolerated by anyone.
Do it the right way or get out of my country!
Fly them to an appropriate foreign airport, and leave them in the recieving area. Not our problem what happens or where they go from there, as long as they are not allowed to reboard.
And since this particular gaggle of illegal alien geese has already done it the wrong way, no second chances. Get out and don't come back.
You mean someone in Washington has the gumption to stand up to a non US citizen, and a foreign government?
I never realised refusing to allow one’s own citizens back into your country was an option....
Too little too late.
Did you miss the part where they were convicted of other crimes?
Makes much too much sense to have any chance of passage.
Yep.
