All very trye, possibly, as far as it goes. But it misses the real point about why Hillary stays in. It’s all about Hillary.

If it goes to convention and Hillary somehow pulls out the nomination...Katie bar the door!............................................

A very real possibility, in fact, Hillery is banking on it.

I still contend B. Hussain O. will be soundly trounced in th GE. He only has 2 constituency groups, one being the liberal press.

While the opportunity is there for the Republicans to exploit Obama’s weakness and associations,I fear they
will not:

1.) Obama has built a wall of defense by charging
that every attack against him is racist.

2.) McCain appears hell bent on taking the high road
in the campaign.

She wishes she could say; “Hey! We’re both the same, think the same and will do the same! Step back in line and wait to run when I’m done.”

“If it goes to convention and Hillary somehow pulls out the nomination...”

Thanks to Rush Limbaugh and those who follow him in lock step.

"McCain appears hell bent on taking the high road in the campaign.

Mc Cain won't do anything to alienate his "hands across the aisle" operating base.
He cannot otherwise continue with all those cherished liberal ideas after he's given away 25 to 30% of the republican constituency.

Besides, throughout my political life time, pubbies have never allowed themselves the same level of nastiness that dems take for granted.

Both men lost control of their public images to the right-wing freak show — that network of operatives and commentators working mostly outside of the mainstream media — and ultimately lost their elections as many voters came to see them as exotic, elitist, out-of-touch, phony and even unpatriotic.

Here's the "money quote" from this piece by John Harris... This is what they (the mainstreams and liberal elite media) think about us and conservatives in general. We're the "freak show". And Al Gore and John F'n Kerry were both casualties of the "freak show" attacks. Rather amazing.

It's actually quite nice to see the Dems tearing each other apart and revealing their contempt for this country and its great middle class. JMHO.

The hate America crowd would rather lose with Barry than will with Hillary. Losing with Barry would allow them to keep holding their hateful prejudices close to the their black hearts. No matter if Barry’s loses the nomination or the general election, there explanation has been composed. Barry lost because America is country full of bitter white folk, clinging to religion, guns, and oh yes Barry lost because the country is racist.

“McCain appears hell bent on taking the high road

Maybe not. McCain has shown he can fight dirty when he wants to. Case in point, when he mischaracterized Romney’s position on the war in Iraq. I believe, and hope, that he is saying he is going to take the high road, and in fact will let surrogates do his dirty work. Sure, he’ll apologize later on, but the damage will have already been done.

If McCain attacks the soft and vulnerable underbelly of the political beasts who threaten this Republic — then perhaps I will cover my eyes, pinch my nose, wear a barf bag and cast my vote for McCain. Perhaps, but not likely.

If McCain attempts to win this election by refusing to attack his opposition with all the FACTS pointing toward their UnAmerican activity and statements — then McCain will lose and deserve to lose...

I will stay home.....

Hillary is live from Scranton Pa on fox now. Presser. She’s hanging Obama’s anti gun religion comments around his neck like a milstone.

I think McCain CAN take the high road legitimately and let the 529s and others repetitively bring up all the Obama negatives. Voters don’t have to hear the dirt from the candidate himself for the information to be effective (see: Swift Boat Veterans). I believe this election is McCain’s to lose. I have never been a McCain fan, but he is better than the other two quite substantially.

Poor Obama.....the more he speaks HONESTLY the more we should come to know him and the more he becomes a stinking Albatross corpse around the neck of the DNC..

He's THEIR Albatross and the stinking corpse should haunt them all the way to the convention..

If Obama's political life is at risk - it will be the power brokers of the DNC he should fear the most, because the Republicans don't have the balls or spine to threaten him.

I recall McCain's own campaign manager saying he would quit before going "negative" on Obama....
How in hell can one support McCain when he has surrounded himself with such morons as his noncombative "campaign manager" and his "Hispanic adviser" who favors the reconquest of the Southwest though the total amnesty of illegal immigrants?

Better to have an enemy in the White House under the enemy's flag -- than an enemy posing as a friend as McCain has been.

Yep, I’ve got to call bull hockey on this. Hill would be doing this even if her opponent wasn’t Obama. She wants the WH, and she’s going to do all that she can to get it.

A big reason she can’t exploit the issue of feeling that Obama is unelectable is that he garners many votes from one of the dem party’s protected classes, African-Americans, and for her to really come out with both barrels, that faction of the party could go ballistic. Hillary is also part of a protected class, the female victim, but Obama’s hand trumps hers with many dem voters.

Contrary to this author’s view that this is a pretty mild primary on the dem side, there are some members of the party who are pretty hot under the collar about what’s going on, judging by sites like DU and Koz.

It’s been a joy to follow this!

Agreed.

Hillary is basically saying, you better nominate me, or I will make sure Obama loses.

She will be back 2012.
