The stuff Pennsylvanians are made of TRIBUNE-REVIEW By Salena Zito
Obama's statements have also put Pennsylvanians under the microscope of the country. No state's diverse population can be placed into one category, but a good insight as to what is important to most Pennsylvanians was found in our own newspaper today.
...If you want an insight into the stuff Pennsylvanians are made of, read Fishmas Eve.'

Of course, that was a whole different generation.
allentown’s paper endorsed obama today
Boy, they really did, didn't they?
LOL. On a Morning Call related note....
Paging Timothy Kennedy....
Obama got many people hoodwinked right now but the more he talks the more people will understand he intends to take their freedom and put them on the plantation... where they will be taxed... maybe not paying in money but taxed nonetheless in a form of corvee labor...
Michelle let it slip in her comments..
“Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.”
The stuff Pennsylvanians are made of - silly string?
I’m in a tither. Obama coming in from one side of town, Hitlery coming in from the other to get to their thing at Messiah College tonight. I can’t get to my pub to watch my Pirates. Traffic is nuts. And, it’s a Sunday. Get out of here, both of you.
It would be interesting to see Obama and Michelle come out of their isolation and out of their comfort zone. Maybe they should visit a hog roast, or tractor pull, or rodeo, or a fish-fry at a local church.
Ahh ... good times. We’d hate for them to stay uninvolved and uninformed ;-)
They are everywhere aren’t they? I fully expect to meet Bill in the produce aisle at Giant Iggle n’at.
That would be the Morning Crawl.
So howd it go at the unemployment office today, Jim-Bob?
Im so dang frustrated! The government isnt listening to me! Wheres my dang gun, Shirley?
Where it always is, next to the potatoes in the pantry. Can you explain your frustrations, Jim-Bob?
Yeah! Ill explain em! Hows this!
Blam! Blam! Blam!
Would you watch out with that thing? Theres another hole in the accordion, and you almost hit the damn parakeet!
Well too bad I didnt hit one a them durn immigrants! Theyre all differunt from me!
Well Jim-Bob, you know theres a tent revival tonight, at least thats something we can cling to.
I dont know Shirley. If only there was some way we could bring about a a change in America.
Well now that you mention it Jim-Bob, I was watchin the tee-vee over at the hairdressers today, and there was this nice young man on with some kind of funny A-rab soundin name. I didnt understand what he was sayin, but whatever it was made me feel good inside, like there was hope again.
Ohhhh yeah. That negro fellow at the bowlin alley. First time Ive ever seen a negro at the bowlin alley, huh.
Well thats just it. Such an articulate young man. Even though I didnt understand nothin, it was like, my ears started ringin', an then I felt like I was floatin upwerds on a big fluffy cloud, with all the immigrants, and everybody else, even that blockhead brother of yours. And we were all holdin hands, there was this, like, unity.
Wow Shirley I think Im feelin it too .! If only there was someone like that in the central govmint as the President! Someone that would listen to my concerns for a change!
Well maybe there can be now, Jim-Bob. Why dont you put that gun down, and lets eat these beans, before theys get cold.
I would laugh but I am too bitter...
to be continued!
Quoth James “Snakehead” Carville:
“Pennsylvania is Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between.”
Obama in a bowling alley = Dukakis in a tank.
> Obama’s vision is reason to nominate him
And Obama’s vision is .... ?
I remember Pennsylvanians got in a tizzy over the words that came out of fat jack murtha’s mouth.
They lapped it up like piggies at the teat.
Yes and no...Murtha reps a district around Johnstown. Like Byrd this and that in WV most of Cambria County will be Murthaville...because he does bring home the bacon. His largesse does not extend beyond the boundaries of his district...and he is equally offensive to the rest of the Commonwealth...
Quoth James Snakehead Carville:
Pennsylvania is Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between.
I just loved when Carville said that! Damn elitist! It’s amazing how pompous these politicians of both parties are!
More likely Mickey D's.
The people of Pa. are represented by Casey Jr. who supports the philosophy of Barck Obama.
Casey Jr. concurs with the Pro Abortion philosophy of Barack Oboma.
Why doesn’t Bishop Timlin address Casey Jr.’s abortion politics?
Hey...you may be onto something...the Big Mac Museum is just down the road from me in Irwin. I can see Bill mooching some fries...(vague reference to the Saturday Night Live Skit w/the late Phil Hartman doing his spot on BillClinton...working from table to table...it is hilarious!!!)
