Odingo can belong to anything he wants, but that doesn’t make him anything other than a radical muslim who caused 1600 deaths in order to get power in Kenya...and Obama campaigned for him...Now that’s rich! Odingo also said while running (Obama campained with him in Kenya) he would invoke Sharia law and make Islam only religion.

Maybe, but Odinga is an Anglican. Most of Kenya's tiny Muslim population supported Odinga's party, but Odinga himself is not Muslim.

I'm not sure I understand. You're saying that Odinga is a radical Muslim, even though he's actually an Anglican? You do know that the vast majority of Luo (Odina and Obama's tribe) are Christians? The only reason Obama's family happens to be Muslim is because his grandfather converted to Islam. Odinga isn't Muslim, nor are the vast majority of the members of Odinga's Luo-dominated party.

Thanks, it sure quenches the belief that Odingo is not a muslim. People are so gullible. Odingo is very dangerous to Kenya; hence 1600 people died already. Now would the real Obama please stand up! Obama went to Kenya and campaigned for Odingo...WHAT PART OF the Muslim/Islam thing can he still deny.

Take a look at the documents posted here, and Odingo or Obama or even you can call yourselves anything..it doesn’t make it so. You need to do a little research, its all out there on the internet and in the BBC news, and the African news, and the truth will make you free.

...Communist opposition during the Cold War and Raila Odinga was educated in Communist East Germany. In 1982 he was implicated in a failed coup against the then president Daniel Arap Moi. His eldest son is named after Fidel Castro.

Even more sinister has been Mr. Odinga’s electoral pact with the National Muslim Leaders’ Forum — a hardline Islamist organization that represents Kenya’s Muslim minority. According to this document, dated August 29, 2007, Mr. Odinga promised the Muslim leaders that, if elected, he would establish Sharia courts, not only in the northern and coastal regions where Kenyan Muslims are concentrated, but throughout the country.

He also promised to impose Muslim dress codes on women, ban alcohol and pork, indoctrinate children, ban Christian preaching, and dismiss the Commissioner of Police “who has allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists.”

In short, Mr. Odinga in effect offered to Islamize Kenya in return for Muslim votes, despite the fact that Muslims make up only 10% of the population, compared to the 80% who are Christian. Mr. Odinga himself is nominally an Anglican, yet he signed a document that refers to Islam throughout as “the one true religion” and denigrates Christians as “worshippers of the cross.”

What, you will be asking by now, what does any of this have to do with Barack Obama? Well, Mr. Obama’s father came from Kenya and his son is proud to call himself a Luo. His Kenyan relations boast that, even if they cannot get a Luo into the Kenyan presidential residence, they can look forward to a Luo in the White House.

Indeed, the connection may be even closer than a tribal one. Mr. Odinga even claims that Mr. Obama is his cousin, because the senator’s father was Mr. Odinga’s maternal uncle. Whether or not this true, the two men are friends and political allies.”

That document (which was produced by Odinga's opponent, Kibaki) claims to be a secret agreement Odinga signed with the leaders of Kenya's tiny Islamic community.

Even if it is real, and people who know better than I say there's a strong chance it's a forgery, it just means that Odinga signed a political deal with Muslims -- it doesn't mean he's a Muslim himself.

I've never said Odinga is a good guy. Odinga's Luo have tried to ethnically cleanse their rivals, the Kikuyu -- that's absolutely true. What isn't true is that it's a question of Islam vs. Christianity. Both the Luo and Kikuyu are overwhelmingly Christian.
