(Excerpt) Read more at cnn.com ...
Are these the only two candidates that can speak to Compassion, faith and politics?
Tune in to see the fireworks as Hillary goes Rev. White on Osama while he talks to the bitter small town racists.
Projectile vomit comes to mind. Ugh who the hell can stomach CNN?
The RINO relic was asked, but the time that he was asked to appear on camera evidently seemed too much for his senior attention span.
“Huh? CNN shows their full bias. No John McCain? Only Hillary! and Osamabamalamadingdong?”
McNasty was invited but said he was taking the weekend off and thought sleeping would be more productive then sitting on a stage with two communists talking about a subject that makes them want to puke.
But seriously, he really was invited. He just declined the offer. :-p
The candidates will actually appear separately.
I’m curious as to what combination of forces made CNN decide to put this on.
Can I put you down as undecided in the general election?
No? Thought so.
This ought to be good. They will need a fast acting counter to count all the lies, half truth’s and changing the subject replies.
You are right. But just because I am NOT voting for the RINO relic, does not mean I do not want to seem him win. He is STUPID for not appearing on this forum. He is WAY behind in fund raising. He is NOT in a position to be turning down FREE media. This BOY says he is for REACHING across the aisle, then appear on CNN which in a way IS reaching across the aisle. What is he SCARED of, her THIGHNESS understood the benefits of FREE media and broke a a Democrat TABOO by appearing on Fox news with Greta von Sustern. If you want to be President, you must be hungry enough to win. The RINO relic McCain appears a lot like that boy Bob Dole who thought his service record entitled him to the Presidency.
Just saw this on the tely. What an utter embarassment.
I do not recall the CNN Republican debate being harmful to McCain. Everything in the MSM pretty much went his way, after all he is the presumptive Republican nominee.
“The Compassion Forum”? I thought this was a joke when I saw the heading. Then I read the link and realized it’s real, though still a joke.
Cambell brown is hot.
Hillary looks HUNG OVER!! Purple eye shadow with a banana yellow outfit isn’t the right color for her...
“The Compassion Forum will give the candidates a chance to talk straight to voters about what they’ll do as president to fulfill God’s command that we be our brothers’ keepers,” said Governor Mike Huckabee, a supporter of the event. “I’m proud that the faith community is taking the lead in asking the candidates to confront the most pressing moral challenges of our times.”
they’d have finished one another off if this were a debate. Dang.
Did Hillary just say that (back alley) abortion lead to the AIDS epidemic?
well, it took forever to find you.
Hill looks good in yellow. Tonite she looks better than usual.
Taking my money or anyone else's to fund causes you feel worthy is not compassion, it is theft.
Liberals are generous to a fault, with other people's money, not their own.
Someone ask Hillary about this...
Hillary Clinton’s denunciations of China have been undermined by disclosures that her husband’s charitable foundation received a donation from a Chinese internet company accused of aiding the crackdown in Tibet.
In 2005, Alibaba arranged for Mr Clinton to speak at a conference of internet executives in Hangzhou, but instead of receiving a fee - which can range from $100,000 to $400,000 - he accepted an undisclosed donation to the William J Clinton Foundation.
A spokesman for the foundation confirmed that a donation had been received from Alibaba.
However, in her White House campaign, Mrs Clinton has called on President George W Bush to skip the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in August. “The violent clashes in Tibet and the failure of the Chinese government to use its full leverage with Sudan to stop the genocide in Darfur are opportunities for presidential leadership,” she said recently.
Hmm,,GWB ought not to go to china to send a message.
Wonder how she feels about Jimmah Cahter meeting with Hamas.
Supports MFN for China, despite concerns over human rights
Clinton supported most favored nation trade status despite concerns about Chinas human rights record. We have to use our our moral and material strengths in ways that serve our evolving interests, she said. We have to ask ourselves what hope does the global market hold for the tens of millions of victims of child labor, or for the 100 million street children without homes or families whom Ive seen everywhere from Brazil to Mongolia who are being left to fend for themselves.

Hillary is a lying hypocrite (big surprise). I can’t imagine her not being struck down by lightning at the things she is saying tonight!!!
oh, this is rich. Campbell Brown looking pouty because Obama might be an elitist.
just tuned in, where’d Hillary go?
I weep for my country.
Among conservatives, the perfect candidate is ?????
Right. There’s no consensus.
So, let’s attack McCain for not being ?????????.
This is going to be a long election season. And I suspect that SOME of you, (I can use caps too) will do everything in your power to point out that John McCain isn’t your perfect (but unknown) candidate.
Even among the very regular posters here on Free Republic, there was no consensus candidate. So, McCain has to be attacked.
I’ll never understand it....Never in a million years.
But, keep on attacking the guy who understand terrorism.
As someone at DU said, Hillary was wearing her Century 21 jacket. :)
I’m voting for McCain. There is no way I’d sit out this election.
No, he wasn’t my first, second or even third choice.
He will go. Unlike Gordon Brown and Merkel, Bush can't afford to piss off our landlord.
Yet Obama is just dying to sit down with Amadinejad without preconditions....
Personally I think that McCain should show up if this was a forum hosted after the Democrat nominee was picked. Since it is still a shark battle between the two, it seems a little appropriate. Think about it, if McCain wasn’t around the only negative remarks we can pick from the contestants are from the two Democrats, IMO.
Well, Obama said that he believes in Creation AND Evolution....Suprise, suprise, suprise......
What a wacky show....Nothing but a bunch of two faced lies...
You must be a brave person to stomach this infested lovefeast. I for one can’t bring myself to watch. Please tell me if OSAMA has already gave his excuse of the BITTER gaffe or his MISSPEAK. Seems that is the latest fadish for those tWo EVIL liberals!
Neither Obama nor Clinton held the belief that life begins at conception. And the both of them get on there, acting like they think abortion should be some last resort option that is rarely used. Want to know the truth? Just look at Hillary’s voting record and her public speeches and appearances at pro-abortion rallies and dinners. Same for Obama. He was fully in favor of Partial Birth Abortion. Bunch of sickos. They may be able to fool the American public, but I can guarantee that they won’t fool Him.
I am old enough to have retired. In my entire voting life, I have voted Republican in EVERY Presidential election. And on every one of those national tickets, I have voted for a guy name George Bush or Bob Dole. I saw what Ronald Reagan could only have dreamed of, a Republican White House with Republican majorities in both houses. But George Bush DID NOT even say he was going to get rid of the Department of Education, let alone put it to a vote. No his first act was to get in bed with Teddy Kennedy and have him write most of No Child Left Behind.
I am not pouting and personally attacking the Keating Five guy because it gives me some kind of mean-spirited pleasure because I did not get my way.
Jorge Bush has established the Teddy Kennedy wing of the Republican Party, and that is a wing, I will not and cannot support.
But, keep on attacking the guy who understand terrorism.
Karl Rove quite successfully, used fear and the Republican is better on terrorism argument to get independents and and swing voters to vote for Bush in his second term. Now, the fear card and the traitor card are being used on this forum to get Republicans to vote for Teddy Kennedy's bed partner.
Scare me, bully me, call me names, but I have paid my dues to the Republican Party and I am drawing the line at voting for this dislikable RINO relic, the Republicans are calling their candidate for President.
John McCain was invited but cited “scheduling conflict”. He was at home in AZ by the way.
I think he made a mistake by not attending; but then, maybe John doesn’t have much “faith and compassion” to talk about.
Did anyone else notice that the audience was very biased in favor of Obama?
Making, and keeping, people dependent on one form of Govt hand out or another is NOT “Compassion”. They should call it what it is “The Politcian Pandering” forum or the “Vote Buying” Forum.
Didn’t answer the question.
The perfect candidate is ..............?
This is the beef I have with conservatives attacking McCain.
There’s no consensus. Just complaints. Just like the democrats. Complain, complain, complain.
Ditto here, Bunny.
I am a COMPLAINER, so what, I am a still a conservative and I still AIN"T voting for that unstable dislikable RINO relic. But my complaints go far beyond the Republican Party's pathetic presumptive candidate. My complaint is with the Teddy Kennedy Wing of the Republican Party. I did not vote Republican in eight consecutive Presidential elections so I would face a situation in which if I am to continue to vote Republican then I must vote for Teddy's co-sponsor of amnesty.
Obama - supports suicide by the terminally ill because, in his 20 years of working with churches, he believes the only way to alleviate pain and suffering of the terminally is to commit suicide.
Obama - denies the father any rights to his unborn child and any say so in whether that unborn child lives or dies, because in his 20 years of working with churches, he's learned its only the mother's choice.
Obama - only complimented Bush on his AIDS package to Africa because, in his 20 years of working with churches, he's learned that his roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. And he is an African people, and remains true to his native land, the mother continent, the cradle of civilization, Africa.
It amazes me how these evil people can so effectively doublespeak. However, it sure doesn't surprise that evil attempts to convince us that's not only is it a good but also necessary. And, all his support to stop the punishment of mothers, by suggesting that they kill their unborn children instead of suffering the miracle, which they are and correctly he termed them on the exact same day, should tell everyone exactly just how evil this man is and his goals are. He knows children are miracles and that's why he believes they should be killed. He knows that suicide intercedes with God's plan for an individual and that's why he want people to do it. Yeah, he works with churches alright, just like Lucifer works with us.
ahh, you haven’t voted in 8 elections.
32 years of non voting.
Have a good day.
I wouldn't want to be in either of their shoes, when the time comes for them to stand in judgment. There's a special place for people who participate and conspire in the killing defenseless little boys and girls.
We, as a nation united, are killing over 4000 defenseless little children a day. And the people who are the part of the American public that sit back and delude themselves into believing that this fact shouldn't “overshadow” other issues like poverty and health insurance, etc, are going to have a rude awakening on their day with Him, too. It's all our responsibilities to defend the defenseless.
Very well said.
