Barack Obama Explains Our Bitterness
North Star Writers Group ^ | April 14, 2008 | Nathaniel Shockey

People who are proud to point out their certainty about everything generally shouldn’t run for president. Because no one has it all figured out.

Perhaps the worst part of this unfortunate situation is political rallies. A bunch of people crowd around a person running for office who explains to them what their emotions really are and why they are experiencing them. And everyone is supposed to leave saying, “Wow. This guy really gets me. It looks like someone’s finally going to add some zeroes to my bank account and heal this pesky rash on my calf.”

And that’s what was so absurdly irritating about Barack Obama’s most recent comments about “middle America” – the theoretical demographic honored by mic’d up politicians and degraded the rest of the time.

So what is he saying are our inherited traditions? G-d? Collecting guns? Or hating foreigners?

Nobama’s apodictic moral and social certainty eminates from his conspicuous narcissism. His only “hope” is to successfully exploit the illiterate; the uninformed; the victim-class; and, white liberal sycophants.

And as long as we’re all playing psychologist, I’d hate to see the American people cling to an arrogant man simply because they’re bitter about a previous administration.

That's the Dems game plan in a nutshell.

“The thing about Obama’s comments is not that they’re absurd. There probably are a lot of people who are bitter about their economic situation, and some of these poor, bitter people lash out about certain political issues because, as Obama put it, it’s what they “can count on.” Or you might say people gripe about things with which they’re familiar, even when their true gripe might elude even themselves. I think this is what he meant.”

I think Barack is really talking about the inner city poor, who the dems love to keep in slavery to them by telling them that Republicans just want to deny them benefits, etc. These are the bitter ones, the ones who think the rest of us owe them something! Barack needs to check his facts before he denigrates a whole group of voters...many of whom would probably vote for him if he showed even a lick of commmon sense and true compassion.

We ought to be extremely concerned about Obama’s arrogant and inaccurate comments. They reflected a deep-rooted, narrow-minded philosophy that ought to bring severe skepticism to the millions who want to see him elected.

And as long as we’re all playing psychologist, I’d hate to see the American people cling to an arrogant man simply because they’re bitter about a previous administration.

While I'm bothered by this, what really concerns me is his Marxist agenda and his spiritual leader is a former Muslim. He does have even the most basic understanding of economics. Like another Freeper said: "All turban and no goats". To me, all of this says his core values are anathema to all that I believe in. Top that with the elitist attitude by himself and his wife and I am really put off.

My bad. Should have read:

He doesn't have even the most basic understanding of economics.

I'm still going to cut BHO a tiny sliver of slack here (on the nano scale). Anyone recall Dubya's labeling of border security types as "vigilantes"?

Does not the word vigilante imply an armed and frustrated citizenry?

Obama did have a bit of courage to openly mouth the words which reflect the thinking of the D.C. elites of both parties.

So for his courage in deviating from political correctness, even for the coarsest of reasons, I clap with one hand for him.

This guy has it close, but I think he’s missing a lot of the point, too. Lonsberry ( http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2001248/posts ) says it as well as I’ve yet seen by a public writer. It is the elitism and his now clear belief that the “little people of America” are simply rubes that is the core problem with Obama’s remarks. It is clear that even after OBama is getting raked over the coals, gets a chance to THINK about it, CONSULT about it, and “apologizes” for his remarks, that he is so far out of touch he STILL can’t understand how elitist he is!

Out of touch or a liar or both.

What worries me MORE is voters that don’t realize just how deeply they’ve been insulted and how this faux snob shouldn’t even be working third shift at Dairy Queen.
