Roger Waters slams Hillary Clinton

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters has attacked democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton – calling the senator from New York "ghastly".

Waters, who admits to being a fan of Clinton’s rival for the democratic nomination, Barack Obama, said that Clinton would invade Iran if she was elected America’s next president.

I was so disappointed the other night when the ghastly Hillary got Texas and kept the whole thing going," he told the Independent.

"Please God, let's not have this woman! Hillary will want to make her mark and show that she can be just as good as a male president, and she will f*cking invade Iran.

“Trust me. She voted to declare the Iranian Republican Guard a terrorist organisation!"

Despite being ineligible to vote, Waters, who lives in New York, said he would “buy a whole page in The New York Times” in order to “fly Obama's flag”.

“But I would be terribly afraid they'd go, 'This is that pinko sh!tbag who's attacking our President in time of war',” he added.

Clinton and Obama next face off against each other in the Philadelphia primary on April 22nd.

The eventual winner of the democratic nomination will go head-to-head with Republican John McCain in the battle to become the country’s president in November.

I have a lot of respect for the guy, I’ve been a Pink Floyd fan forever, but he’s always been a Moonbat. Looking back at some of the Floyd material, that "Animals" album had s#it for lyrics. It probably embodies much of Waters' political/economic views. I can see why he would support Obama.

Here is something for the Defeatist Democrats and Ron Paul crowd I had posted in the past.
I’ve changed the words around in this Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) Live Aid theme song “The Tide Is Turning” to be more reflective of the times.

The Surge Is Workin

I used to think the world was flat
Rarely threw my hat into the crowd
I felt I had used up my quota of yearning
Used to look in on the children at night
In the glow of their Donald Duck light
And frighten myself with the thought of my little ones burning
But oh, oh, oh, the Surge is Working
The Surge is Working

Al Qaeda posting on Internet sites
Exclusive shots on the web of terrorist frights
Just imagine what these Muslim children must be learning
Whose Religion is the most righteous, whose is the best
Who holds the aces, the Middle East or the West
This is the crap Muslim children are learning
But oh, oh, oh, the Surge is Working
The Surge is Working
Oh, oh, oh, the Surge is Working

Now the websites confused
‘Cos on Saturday night
The traffic was full of compassion and light
And confused liberals with silicon hearts warmed
To the sight of a billion candles burning
Oo, oo, oo, the Surge is Working
Oo, oo, oo, the Surge is Working
The Surge is Working

I’m not saying that the battle is won
But on Saturday night all those kids in the sun
Wrested technology’s sword from the hand of the
War Lords
Oh, oh, oh, the Surge is Working

The Surge is Working.

It could have happened after Live 8, from what I’ve heard. Roger was all jazzed about it, but Gilmour’s not into it at all.

He's always been that way, a raving (and drooling) Moonbat. He was in the tank for Kerry last time around.

That’s the first nice thing I’ve heard about Hillary the beast in a long, long time. Scuse me if I don’t believe it.

Just because you’re a rock and roll millionaire doesn’t mean you’ve got any brains. Though you gotta love him for his guitar playing and song writing, Keith Richards is a prime example of that.

““Trust me. She voted to declare the Iranian Republican Guard a terrorist organisation!”

Uhhhhhh ..... Roger, perhaps you need some understanding of the world .....”

It always makes me want to vomit when people criticize Hillary Clinton for one of the few things she’s done that I actually agree with. I have to remind myself I’m defending the vote, not the person. This vote, her motive notwithstanding, was the right one. Her vote to authorize force in Iraq was the right one. And this nimrod, if he knew half as much about politics as he thinks he does, would know that Obama himself did NOT vote against the terrorist classification. Indeed, he didn’t even bother to show up!

The media keeps harping that policy-wise there’s no difference between Obama and Clinton, so people should just vote for Obama so they aren’t propogating the “Bradley Effect.” But there are differences, substantial ones. And I find myself, increasingly, in the position where I’m finding Obama’s supporters are so *completely* insane, that they almost make Clinton look, if not good, then definitely not as terrible by comparison.

The fact that I am having to defend a vote Hillary Clinton made makes me sick to my stomach, but there’s no denying that she’s the moderate in this race. That Obama isn’t just a little to her left, but WAYYY over there. And that’s a scary, scary place to be... Knowing that this man is within shouting distance of the nomination and the White House.

I’ve been wondering - If Obama goes down in flames, and Hillary rises, how will that effect Operation Chaos? Will Rush turn it around and ask everyone to keep Obama afloat, just to keep them from getting a nominee?

He’s almost as smart politically as Rosie O’Donnell.

You could put the vast majority of music acts in the Moonbat category. I'm still going to listen to Pink Floyd. The fact that Roger is the intellectual equal of pocket lint is irrelavent.

“and she will f*cking invade Iran.

“Trust me. She voted to declare the Iranian Republican Guard a terrorist organisation!”

I’m so sick of the half-informed way that people talk about the vitally important issues of the day.

a) No American president will “invade” Iran, ever. Maybe he means “attack” Iran.

b) The Republican Guard was Iraqi. The Iranians have the Revolutionary Guards.

Details, details. I used to think Waters was an intellectual. He and his ilk are like little kids who overhear an adult conversation they don’t understand, and then go out and breathlessly repeat it to their friends on the playground.

“Hey, guys, guess what? Mommy and Daddy said Hillary was gonna invade Iran ‘cause she voted that the Republican Guard was terrorists and she’s gonna drop a neutronic bomb on Nahmajeenedad to prove she’s a man!”

Maybe some day an orphaned son of a soldier of the war in Iraq will form a band and write songs about those who denigrated the actions of his father and yelled “sis-boom-bah” for the enemy.

Shut up and reunite with PF.

Actually, for many years, Roger was all stuck up and "too good" to reunite Pink Floyd, even though the rest of the band wanted to... Then David Gilmour decided to put the band back together without Roger, and they did quite well. But it was dwelling in the past for David, so he decided to concentrate on his solo career, working with his wife. But he also decided that he needed something from the past, and he brought Richard Wright in to work on his solo stuff as well. "On an Island" is the result, and it's quite good, but of course, it still sounds a bit like pink floyd, how could it not.

Anyway, after the Live 8 Reunion, Rodger decided that he'd like to put PF back together, especially for the huge piles of money that were being offered. David said "no thanks!" In an interview I read, he pretty much said that Pink Floyd was his past, and he wasn't interested in reliving it. I think that he also remembers the quote by Roger, "the other blokes, they work for me!"

Waters is an avowed and admitted socialist. You can find the admission on the "Making of Dark Side of the Moon," which is a fascinating documentary. Not a liberal, but an out and out socialist.

Yup.
Stick to making music, Roger. The 'Animals' show was one of my all-time favorites. Luv ya, buddy, but that was thirty years ago.

I believe Roger’s Dad, the one who was killed in WWII, and the inspiration for “The Wall” and “The Final Cut,” was an avowed Communist as well.

I heard a great radio interview with David Gilmour last year. He was promoting ‘Island’. Gilmour was actually very laid back and interesting, talked a bit about his amazing guitar collection (particularly Stratocasters). He has an old Strat with a 00001 serial number.

Although he didn’t bad-mouth Waters, he did say that Roger tended sometimes to take more credit for songs and musical passages than he should have. Gilmour offered a few examples. He didn’t sound vindictive about it, just a little annoyed. It didn’t sound like David was in any hurry to reassemble Pink Floyd.
