Too bad God doesn’t smite their computer servers. He doesn’t promote promiscuity. That’s obnoxious.

Dont forget to bring home that special disease you might encounter, it will help you remember your special evening for many evenings to come, and all alone.

Don’t Spend the Night

Unless invited, don’t sleep over. Snoozing together is too official, and it should be reserved for an established relationship. Gather up your belongings and make a respectful exit. Don’t try to leave a trail of personal “bread crumbs,” such as a wallet, a purse—or, worse, your unmentionables—as a gateway for a second meeting. It’s clichéd and spurious to hunt anyone down after you “forgot” something at his or her place, under the false pretense of happenstance.

Don’t Hang Around All Day

Basic rules of the one-night stand include a relatively quick getaway; they do not include morning duty. Once the good times have rolled, you should thank your eventide escort for his or her company and politely excuse yourself.

Good Heavens could it be ANY more mercenary and cynical?

Typical lieberal nonsense. Since they are going to do it anyway, you had best facilitate them in every way to do it. Thereby you become party to the behavior. Total BS.

So THAT’S why that girl left her bra in my dorm room at college so many years ago. I had no idea.

It's that new "modern" Christianity. The Howard Dean kind, where you don't have to waste brain cells reading Olde English in the Bible or holding a bible session, or every feel guilty about anything; because since Jesus loves You, so you can do anything. Oh, and it's OK to mix it in with other religions, like Buddhism and Yoruba, as long as you feel good about YOU! After all, You are just as divine as Jesus!/sarc

(I've actually heard that from people). Somewhere along the way, Christians forgot that a big part of being Saved is to improve yourself, not just confess your sins, then wallow in them.

...or you can simply gnaw your arm off at the shoulder gather your clothes (with the one hand you have left) and slip out the back door being careful not to wake the neighbor's dog.

“Dont forget to bring home that special disease you might encounter”

That’s just one problem with this.

At best a one-night-stand is mutual mastrabation, and that’s if both parties REALLY know sex is all that’s going to happen.

The whole article pretends to list the logical reasonable progression to what?

“HARMONY” for your own soul, much less those of the people you “agree” to act with is not what will happen in the end.

Somewhere along the way, Christians forgot that a big part of being Saved is to improve yourself, not just confess your sins, then wallow in them.

The thing is to TRULY repent; then TURN AWAY from your sins, and STOP COMMITTING THEM.

I’ve heard I don’t know how many times that so and so who says they are a Christian isn’t respected because they don’t ACT like a Christian, they cuss, bad mouth people, lie, and do everything else that everyONE else is doing.

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

I’ve heard it said that some think that all you need to do attend a revival meeting, come forward just as you are singing “Just As I Am” and then leave just as you were.

Sounds pretty much like a one-night stand, come to think of it.

The bigger problem is a woman who engages in sex before marriage does so because she makes up an excuse to do so.

Such a woman is more likely to create excuses for bad behavior after marriage.

Such a woman is a poor prospect for a faithful wife.

You are exactly right. Remember that St. Paul admonished us (among others) that we are not to use our faith in God’s forgiveness as LICENSE. Seems that folks just love to pick and choose but His Truth does not waver, does not change and I thank Him for that because it’s a comfort to know that there are things that are unchanging—and reliable.

I saw enough of the fallout from one night stands in high school to cure me of ever wanting to be a part of it.

It made the girls desperate, feeling incredibly used and humiliated, not to mention some of them pregnant and diseased. It made the guys cynical and totally selfish, and perpetuated a user mentality in regards to women.

It was ugly then, and it's ugly now.

Being experienced in these matters and somewhat of a man-about-town (if I may say so myself) I have just one bit of advise for the young fellers:

Always, always, always put the goat back in the pen and lock the gate. Them farmers gets mad easy.

Slim Harpp - Slip On In

Ooh, lay it on me, baby
Don’t stop now
Let your hair down, baby
We ain’t goin’ to heaven, no how
I’m ready to burn, baby
Right here and now

Whoa, I dig those crazy clothes
Let me feel those fish-net hose
Cut low at the top
And high at the bottom
In fact, I don’t see
How we ever did without ‘em

Now, there’s a place down the street
They call ‘The Tippin’ In’
Let’s walk on down there, baby
That’s where the fun begin
But let me check you just one mo’ time

Mmm-umm-mm!

You know you send me, baby
Let’s go on in here

Now, sock it to me!

Woo-ooo-wee!

You know this gettin’ good to me, now?

Aaw, shuck!

eHarmony is still run by Dr. Neil Clark Warren, a self-described "evangelical Christian" with a Masters in Theology from Princeton.

The eharmony article reduces spontaneity and the excitement of the “CHASE” to nothing more than the dullness of negotiating a deal for a used car.

Sure - read My date with Mr. eHarmony:

A few days after I spoke with Warren, Dobson responded to recent interviews in which Warren has distanced himself from his former booster. "I introduced Dr. Warren and his books -- and eHarmony, more recently -- to our listeners specifically because he was and it was decidedly Christian in nature," Dobson told his radio audience on May 26. "Dr. Warren is anxious to change that direction. So ... we will go our separate ways ... with reluctance and regret."

I was listening to a CD of Bible Songs with my 6 1/2 year old on the way to school this morning, as I usually do.

One of the songs struck me - “Jesus loves me”.

Jesus loves me when I’m good.
When I do the things I should.
Jesus loves me when I’m bad,
but it makes him very sad.

Sure, Jesus is going to love us good, or bad. That’s the GOSPEL in a nutshell. However, if you have someone who says they are a Christian, and doesn’t SHOW it, then they are NOT.
