Your fear of the process is misplaced. The parties are basically controlled by their members through the leadership; if the members don’t like the way the leaders lead, they pressure them to change, or they leave the party. Don’t look to Big Regulatory Government to make life fair for you. Stand up for what you believe, and work for it.

I left my church denomination two years ago, because they were unresponsive to the needs and concerns of the congregation, and told us where to go and what to do. Most of us left. The hierarchy is now considering what it did wrong. They will either “get it” and survive, or not get it and wither. No Big Brother needed. Just people standing up and acting for what is right as they see it. That’s what America is all about.

Can I ask a foolish questions? If the Dem super delegates make the decision as to who runs for president does it mean all the Dems who voted in the primary are disenfranchised?

Sending the message that states which occur late in the primary lineup have no value. All those voters are being disenfranchised by the DNC. The candidate must be chosen well in advance of those primaries.

Something like that might make large states like, say, Florida or Michigan, want to move their primaries earlier in the cycle?

I realize that a superdelegate vote (amazingly) carries more strength than a singular vote by themselves or anybody else, but even so, would they not be voting twice which would most certainly be illegal?"

Voting in their states as a citizen and casting a delegate vote at the convention are two different things, as far as I can tell. It is my understanding that the delegate thing is specific to the party inner workings.
