Huckabee & The Club friends at last? TRIBUNE-REVIEW By: Salena Zito
When former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee was running for the Republcian nomination for president, no one attacked him more often and with more conservative muscle than the uber-economic conservatives from The Club for Growth.
Pat Tommey, chairman of The Club, wrote last October in The National Review that a flirtation with Huckabee even as a vice presidential candidate did a "great disservice to the conservative movement if it overlooks Huckabees stunning record of big-government liberalism.
So, it came as a bit of surprise to receive a blast e-mail from The Club today touting an exclusive interview with Huckabee talking VP speculation from Joe Lieberman to his former nemesis Mitt Romney.
A quick e-mail was sent to Huckabee asking about this.
Huckabee said that The Club has spend a lot of time and money attacking, but had never met him.

And he’s still nothing but a pro-life leftist with a bible.
A very well written article, I must say.
aw shucks, thanks
LOL. There was an article on the site of a Cleveland news station about a proposed bill introduced in the Ohio House of Reps. The author couldn’t even go the State’s website and find out the bill number and the names of the sponsors and place it in the article. LOL.
Ping-a-bee!
Ooopppsss. Or should it be “Ping-abee?”
Thank you for your work.
Pat Tommey? Does he have a cousin, Pat Toomey?

To be added please FReepmail me or OB1KNOB.
Or should it be “Huck-a-ping?” Who knows and who cares.
;>)
Too bad, I really enjoyed the club going after him, they are an outstanding political organization.
I don’t know, look at the Clintons and the Kennedys-political scum seems to hang on forever-although I can hope, I suppose. God, I hate this Elmer Gantry scumbag.
“Hey, look, the horse will not die.”
Huck reminds me of Jimmy Carter.
“Huckabee said that The Club has spend a lot of time and money attacking, but had never met him.
I felt it was important to sit down and have a face-to-face”
Hey, what the heck, it might just work. That face-to-face thing sure worked on Duncan Hunter. I don’t get it.
“Too bad, I really enjoyed the club going after him, they are an outstanding political organization.”
And founded and run by the biggest open border bunch ever, namely Steven Moore, responsible for destroying Prop. 187 in California. The Club has their agenda. Any trade deal is great with them. Which is why they hated Duncan Hunter.
I’d like to keep the brain drain coming here, so our companies don’t move overseas. Free trade raises all boats and free trade is the essence of capitalism. I’m not a fan of ‘government managed trade’, but I guess you take what you can get from the socialists....
so, I’ve supported the club on nearly everything they’ve done in the past and I’m a big fan of Steven Moore.
“Id like to keep the brain drain coming here, so our companies dont move overseas. Free trade raises all boats “
Why are we faced with that as our only choice? Sounds more like a threat to me. And no, ‘free trade’ doesn’t raise all boats. It raises a few with the most influence. Fact. Fair trade could, but they prefer corrupted government, tax payer subsidized managed trade. Which is what Friedman called it. It’s nothing about fair or ‘free’.
