The Internet is filled to the brim with this story or that story of some miracle fuel that is going to save us from our dependency on oil. Excrement, Excrement, Excrement! If any of this stuff really worked it would be front page news in the world's newspapers. The money it would make would put the investors in a class with Bill Gates.
Until I see something actually work on a commercial basis I will hold back my enthusiasm. I am starting to feel a little like Charlie Brown having the football pulled out from me as I try to kick it.

Recent developments in battery-gage technology would probably make what you're proposing feasible. Until now, we've only had voltage-based gages & they aren't very accurate in practice -- especially under the conditions that an automobile has to operate in.
