The Air America network, which provides much of the programming on KKZN-AM (760) ended its relationship last week with hostess Randi Rhodes. Rhodes had recently been suspended from Air America for her humor presentation at a San Francisco nightclub, in which she called Hillary Clinton a "big f---ing whore" and Geraldine Ferraro "David Duke in drag" and "a f---ing whore." Such wit!
But no sooner had Air America dumped her than Clear Channel hired her. So Rhodes is now back on 760, in the 1-4 p.m. weekday slot. Clear Channel's decision is not entirely consistent with the theory that Clear Channel is dedicated to a right-wing agenda.

Clear Channel is dedicated to PROFIT, so if they can wring a few bucks out of this beotch’s controversy from the lefties, why not?
Give the paying public what it wants, reap the rewards.
Ms. Rhodes has bigger problems waiting for her down the line...can there be any doubt that she’s on ‘Hillary’s! List?’ LOL!

Well, you never know. These evil right-wingers can be very clever.

A few years back, Rhodes — or someone close to her show — used to try to pimp her show here on FR. Didn’t work.
The worst thing is to have these people like RR not be heard so others can't ultimately realize what ridiculous viewpoints they hold.
-(although , in either case my listening is usually limited to the amount of time necessary to hit the "search" button on the radio)---
Presumably this radio station, owned by Clear Channel, has some contractual relationship with Nova M to broadcast her show. No doubt this relationship was entered into in the hopes of making money for Clear Channel's shareholders, which is what a corporation is supposed to do.
Don't see a problem with this, although I doubt that profits will be forthcoming to Clear Channel.
There is of course the theory that Clear Channel is covering its posterior in the event that the Democrats gain the White House and the “Fairness Doctrine” is re-instituted, along with governmental witch hunts against stations that broadcast right wing radio. “See, we broadcast left wingers, too. (It isn't our fault that they s--k at getting ratings.”
“The Excrable Dr. Dean Edell” — I love it!!
Is he still on the air? He’s such a typical pompous liberal with his “I know what’s best for you peasants” attitude and an unhealthy obsession with circumcision — I used to scream at the radio “talk medicine, not politics!!”, but I haven’t heard him for some time.
If a tree falls in the forest...
Slow newsday?
I’d bet the farm that if Mrs. Rhodes had said the same things in regards to President Bush and V.P. Cheney she’d still be working at airhead America.
But to revile Mrs. Clinton will cost ya.
Like dealing with the fact she's a full blown alcoholic?
Ping to the Rhodes Scholar.
Hope they took a reserve for the FCC fines.
Few here probably remember when Ted Turner was considered too conservative to own a major network, and was refused the opportunity to buy one. That of course led to CNN, and his great friendship with Castro.
See, we broadcast left wingers, too. (It isn’t our fault that they s—k at getting ratings.
Exactly. Our local Clear Channel station airs Rush, Hannity, Dave Ramsey and an awesome local afternoon ConservaBabe, Vicki McKenna. They also air Err Amerika.

It just makes good business sense, and if the ‘Rats DO have their way, you know conservative Talk Radio is going to have one helluva fight on their hands to find airwaves anywhere.
Forewarned is forearmed. :)
However, my tax dollars going to NPR and PBS which are completely left-wing isn’t a problem. *SPIT* My company yanked all funding (and it was substantial) from our local PBS station. I couldn’t be more proud! :)
The couple of times I caught a bit of his show led me to believe the opposite. I thought he was more conservative. Maybe I didn’t listen enough or something.
