translation: Decades of being the party of an outdated agenda of race baiting, class warfare, and feminisim has hit critical mass now that we have a half black/half white guy and female running against each other.

I fear Obama is there to make “She who must be obeyed” look reasonable and Presidential. Get her gone, Obama is easily defeat-able.

People used to ask: What happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object?
Now they ask: What happens when Obama's irresistible egotism meets Hillary's immovable sense of entitlement?

With Barry Hussein McGovern Obambi and Clinton Inc as an opponent and Clinton Inc licking their wounds, McCain should win big.

It would be nice to think McLame will win. But, he has and will continue to kick his own party in the teeth at every turn. You DON’T win by doing THAT!

Hillary has become such a waddling turkey, she makes Dianne Feinswine look like an ingenue.

Re:
Clinton has her own credibility problems, and they are more severe than her opponent's. Questioned by Stephanopoulos about her fabricated story of dodging sniper fire on a trip to Bosnia, she said she was "embarrassed" by the incident and apologized again.Birdie: What a story, everything but the blood hounds snapping at her rear end!

It was the videotape of the beating that undid papa Bush's mojo from Desert Storm. What cooked Poppy's goose was his caving in on taxes after his "read my lips" pledge.

"What cooked Poppy's goose was his caving in on taxes after his "read my lips" pledge."IMHO it was actually Perot and his receiving more potential Republican votes than Dem votes - Clinton won with 43%. I lost a lot of respect for Perot. He let his apparently personal issues with Bush badly damage the country.

I agree with you. I also remember losing respect for folks I knew at that time who voted for Perot.

What undid Pa Bush in CA ws his absolute fear of taking a decisive step in the Rodney King Affair.
Had he immediately had the Mayor of LA thrown in jail for inciting the riots ...."Take to the streets. Show your feelings ...but keep the peace," were Tom Bradley's words on TV. It took the police, the governor, and the National Guard days too long to quell the riots. Shooting the first 500 rioters would have ended that affair in 10 minutes.
Bush came to town and sicced the Feds on the officers who had already been acquitted ... and then winked at the blatant jury intimidation in the federal trial that put the officers away. He was too oblivious to the fact that a strong stand AGAINST Tom Bradley and Rodney King would have won him California. He was more concerned with losing the press!
Pa Bush was a great man, but a great dithering wimp. He took a dive in the '92 campaign rather than expose what he knew about Bill Clinton. (The greatest political mystery of the century)
Neither Rodney King, nor Ross Perot caused Papa Bush's downfall. The fault lay with him, with his own feckless, indecisive self. E.G., he threw away victory in Iraq, leaving Saddam in power. The man always dithered, when he might have led.

And the increasingly personal tone of the Clinton-Obama exchanges is draining some of the enthusiasm from Democrats
As they say, politics ain't beanbag Broder. And you know damn well the Demokratz are busy stockpiling enough beer and cigarettes for the votes necessary to beat that old Navy bastard at the polls in November.

that’s exactly how I remember it; that’s when his approval ratings tanked.

As I reported on the Sunday Thread, Jim Pinkerton (6'9") and Ellen Ratner (4'10") were on the F&F curvy couch this morning discussing the Dems' dilemma. Jim kept saying that Rev. Wright, Bittergate and Obama's elitist attitude would hurt him in November and Ellen screeched--in your dreams! However, Ellen announced that it didn't matter if Mrs. C. or Obama was the nominee--because either would win! John McCain is just too old--declared Ellen. She said she didn't think it was fair for the Super D's to be forced to decide as Dr. Dean is demanding, however, said that this continued fight is disastrous for the Dems giving McCain a free ride like this. I thought the Dems already won this election hands down, Ellen???

Broder managed to get all the way through his column without even so much as a hint of who the architect of the Dems problem is.
Good for him, he continues to be a font of information. /s
