As the U.S. economy heads south, Mexicans may have to head north. That's the fear of many workers here, where the slowdown in the United States already has cut production at manufacturing plants whose output is largely sold in the United States .
The malls are already crowded with non-English speaking invaders. Why not 80 million instead of 40 million.
Great picture. Thanks! - bill
Yeah I came across it looking at Obomba cartoons. It summed up last summer pretty well. We’ll fight the same battle with McCain. But that’s OK. We know how to fight that battle. And I’ll take a former POW American veteran over a commie pinko like Obomba any day.
I seriously doubt that. Las Vegas is seeing thousands of illegals packing up and heading back home as the home construction industry has ground to a halt.
Have you ever noticed some of these BIG companies, it’s impossible to get any contact with them on the webpages? PLEASE, plese tell me WHY my Mac Apple using Firefox takes 5 minutes to open up Fox News! It works fine on all other sites, just seeing the little prompts at the corner, that they INSIST on putting in Pop Up’s, of some GREEN VIDEO that they want me to see. If I allow the PREFERENCES for them to send me their JUNK pop ups, than it goes right to the page. Can’t FOX put their junk on the side of the news, and not insist blocking muy view of their pages?
So, if the economy is great, the Mexicans head north because the jobs are plentiful. When the economy goes sour, the Mexicans head north because production slows down in their country. Sounds like a lose-lose for the USA.
Everywhere we looked, the area was full of Hispanics. And I can bet anyone (safely) 9/10th of the ones we saw were not here legally.
The idea behind the story is the old theme that when the American economy sneezes, the world catches cold. In this version, the downturn in the US economy leads to reduced demand for goods produced in Mexico, leading to economic distress down there. The headline could have been more clear.
Ping!
Bttt!
I am so mexicanned out. (read tag line).

wait, we just had stories last week which said that illegals were going back home since they couldn’t find work in the U.S.
It can’t be both ways!
Like you, I completely doubt the premise of this article. Illegals AND legals are going back to Mexico where they can live off their past earnings more easily than they can in the USA. They won’t be back until things pick up.
But don't deceive yourself. We will need to intimidate the traitors in Congress in order to deal with McManiac on the border invasions spawned by the current thoroughly discredited and despicable administration.
McManiac, after all, is to the left of Jorge El Segundo on nearly every issue.
That is why the mainstream media supported him against his more worthy colleagues.
I'm reading about increased pressures and violence against illegals now that the economy has slowed.
There has also been an increase in ALL crimes which is normal in a slowing economy.
This Yahoo Story is bunk and is trying to create a movement north by illegals, but right now is not a good time for them since they are unfortunately targeted more now.
People's patience on things goes SOUTH in slowing economies, so this should be a GOING SOUTH story, not north.
